Think I can search for the treasure on the ship while you guys go on foot? No? Damn. --
Lillian didn't even pay attention to Elrick as he came in, attempting this sleep thing again. Problem with that was that he talked to himself, which was normal. He was just complaining about how much of a pain in the ass it was going to be searching when it was hot out, which they all pretty much knew. She was barely even tired herself-- she could have gone out and started searching right now if she wanted to. But, she wasn't the one with the map.
She opened her eyes when Elrick said his next statement. She sighed. "Dude, she handed you the map. She'd be screwing herself and Castle over if that was the case, unless she has a photographic memory. Or if Castle does. I doubt both cases, so I'm sleeping. You should too so you have enough energy to complain about the heat tomorrow." And that was all she had to say on the matter.

Yes, I am such an idiot at times. What with everything, he had completely forgotten that he had placed the map in his pants, inside one of the back pockets. "Oh, right. I said nothing then," he commented laughing quietly. He was barely on the second boot, so he simply kicked it away and removed the other, before actually pulling off his pants and throwing them on the back of the couch. "G'night," he said, entering his small room, wearing nothing but his underwear... and his hat.

=A= -- " Well, damn it," Emi said bluntly, wilting. If only Elrick had offered sooner... oh well. Back to the ship then. As she walked, she shook her head a few times as if to say I can't believe this.Sleeping on the ship wouldn't be so bad. Of all the non-bed-type places she'd spent the night, the gummi ship was high on the list. Anything was better than a Parisian jail cell... or any other kind of jail cell. Or somebody's door step. Or in the back of a van... Before she knew it, she was back at the ship. She assumed Castle was right behind her, but didn't bother to stop and check. Her main objective was bed. She walked into the small sleeping area and started dragging the cot into the bigger main area. " Not sleeping in that broom closet, not tonight, she muttered, with a yawn. She kicked off her shoes, took her hair down out of its ponytail and flopped down onto the cot. " Hnnnnghaaargh."

"Son of a..." Castle muttered, scowling as Elrick walked away. Rather than finish his sentence, he shook his head and turned to follow Emi back to the ship. She actually seemed less annoyed about this than he was. Maybe that was a bad sign for him.
He brushed that thought aside and walked into the gummi ship, where Emi pulled the cot out of the tiny bedroom.
"Oh, good. I don't have to sleep on the cold, hard floor alone tonight," he said with a sarcastic smirk, and then amended, "Well, I'll still be alone on the floor, I guess. Unless you'd like to join me?"
He snickered and settled down on the floor off to the side of the cot, which was pretty much right next to it in the tight space. He didn't bother to remove any clothing. It would be warmer if he was fully dressed, anyway.

Unnnnh why does the light switch have to be all the way over there? -- Emi rolled over on her side, facing Castle. " Haha, very funny but no. I'm not sleeping on the floor. Aww, dammit. The lights are still on." She reached over the edge of the cot and felt around until she found her shoe, and tossed it over so that it landed on Castle's chest. " Go turn them off. I don't think I can't move anymore." It was true. Her arm was now stuck crossed awkwardly over her chest but she just couldn't find the motivation to move it. She just lay there, looking up at the ceiling and tried to will the lights off with her mind. If Castle wouldn't turn them off, she decided she could probably just sleep with them on. In fact, she was starting to doze off already...

Castle had just closed his eyes when Emi's shoe landed on him. He grumbled in annoyance and tossed it back over to where her other one was, but then he got up and walked over to the light switch anyway.
"Whatever, drama queen," he muttered as the gummi ship went dark.
He went back to his spot on the floor and laid down again, resting his hands on his middle. After a second or two of silence, he said, with a lightly teasing tone,
"You know, those shorts look pretty good on you."
No response. She must be asleep already. Castle sighed and tried to get comfortable. With any luck, he wouldn't be too sore in the morning.

Could you let down your hair, be transparent for a while? -- To be honest, that was probably the best night's sleep she'd gotten in a while, which was not what she was expecting. One minute, she was complaining about the lights and the next she was waking up. She didn't move quite yet, still trying to reorient herself. Had she been dreaming about something? If she was, she couldn't remember now. So, she just nestled down into this nice, warm... what was that anyway? She tightened her arms, desperate not to lose that warmth. Despite the fact she was about to get more of it than she wanted out in the desert, this was nice and waking up to something nice was a very welcome change. She smiled a little bit, letting the death grip her hands had on the fabric loosen. It was a subconscious habit of hers to rub her feet against each other when she was only half-lucid like that, too, which she did with a contented yawn. That's when she realized whatever it was was breathing. Her eyes flew open, her smile fell and she froze, afraid to move or speak. Somehow through the course of the night, she had rolled off her cot and onto the floor, and ended up with her arms wrapped around Castle's waist. She had been clenching the back of his shirt in her hands. Nervously, she looked up to see if he was still asleep. If she had a chance to remove herself without being embarrassed, he was going to have to stay asleep.

Unfortunately for Emi, Castle was already very much awake, and he lifted his head to look at her just as she moved hers to look at him.
He'd only woken up a second or two ago, when he realized that he could feel a heartbeat thumping against him from the outside. At first, he thought that it, and the pleasantly surprising warmth of someone holding onto him, were part of a dream. He'd never had a dream like this before, or a reality, and he thought blearily that waking up would be a disappointment. Then he noticed that his back and neck were really stiff and that he wasn't actually asleep at all.
Needless to say, he was now very, very confused.
"...Hi," he said awkwardly.

This is what you call an awkward turtle. -- Now, there was only one way to get out of this unharmed, and that was to completely blow it off. Act like it was no big deal, completely normal, happened all the time. Emi unfroze, casually removed her arms and moved away from him, yawning like she didn't even care. On the inside, though, she was about to die of embarrassment. " What are you still doing laying around like that? Get up, we're burning daylight here and still have to go meet Elrick and Lillian," she snapped at him. With her shoes in hand, she pulled them on and then swept her hair back into a high ponytail. She crossed over to the exit and pushed it open. It was still somewhat early morning and the sun was just beginning to rise. She jumped down onto the ground and put her hands on her hips. As long as this little accident never got brought up again, it was time for the fun to start. If he did try to bring up, well... she would silence him quickly.

I hate you gravity. --
Lillian felt this morning could have gone better. Much better. She woke up facing the couch, her ponytail having fallen out sometime last night while she was trying to get comfortable. The sun wasn't even really up yet. Not yet thinking clearly, she didn't remember that she was in Agrabah and that it was probably a good idea to get up now. Instead, she groaned at the tiny bit of sunlight that was starting to come in, putting a pillow over her head. That solved the light problem, but now she was uncomfortable. Dammit she couldn't win.
Turning onto her other side didn't help either. She misjudged how much space she had on the couch when attempting to roll over, getting out a small yelp before hitting the floor face first. Well damn, now she definitely couldn't go back to sleep. Elrick needed a bigger couch, or she just needed to sleep in a proper bed. Figure that out later. She stood up and dusted herself off, straightening out her clothes before marching over to Elrick's door and knocking loudly.
"Ellie wake up. We have to get up and... go do something." The fact they were here to do treasure hunting completely slipped her mind for the moment. Ugh, whatever. He'd know what she was talking about. "I don't know. Just get up."

You don't want to know what the fine for calling me that a third time is. Elrick had woken up not long before, while the sun was still not up and there was enough time for him to take a quick shower and stretch to clear his head. He would have started getting changed, if it weren't because he left his usual clothes in the other room. Or he could just grab one of the other identical uniforms he had on his closet there and not put on clothes that were most likely drenched in sweat. Yeah, that was probably a good idea. Just as he was putting on his shirt, he heard banging at his door, from the obvious guest in his ship. He walked over there and abruptly opened it, staring at Lillian with a slightly annoyed face. He zipped up his sleeveless shirt... vest thing, walking beside her. "Please don't call me Ellie. You don't like me looking at your butt, I don't like being called that," he yawned as he said that, walking around the cockpit, picking up the clothes he had thrown all over the place... and promptly throwing them into his room, shutting the door a fraction of a second later. Not before making sure he had taken the map from his pants, that is. "Alright, lets get going. I want to see if we can get this over with before the sun is high enough to cause spontaneous combustion..." he said as he put the map between his pants and belt, jumping out of the ship through the hatch on the side and landing on the sand below.

Fun crusher. --
"Fine, fine," she replied, waiting for him to clean up his clothes that he threw all over the place. The "You still do it anyway" remained unsaid, Lillian knowing that wouldn't get her anywhere. She took a spare hair tie out of her pocket and put her hair up in a high ponytail, then walked over to the couch to find her sunglasses. She didn't remember waking up with them on her face, so they must have fallen off sometime between her going to sleep and her fall off the couch this morning. Yep, under the couch with her guns. Typical.
She put them on and holstered her guns back to her belt, the two of them finally ready to get going. She jumped out of the ship after him, the sun still in the process of rising. "I'll be really pissed if they're not awake." Normal grumpiness. Everything was normal this morning except for waking up in what would soon turn into hell.

Castle blinked, bewildered. Either he was still dreaming, or Emi was really good at avoiding... whatever the hell just happened.
He shook his head a little, stood up, and stretched. He would have to get the rest of the stiffness out of his limbs while they walked, because Emi was already stepping out of the ship. He started to follow her, but paused, touching the front of his vest. Still warm. She'd really been there.
Weird. With another small shake of his head, he exited the gummi ship so they could head back to the city gates.
"So... how'd you sleep?" he asked neutrally.

I did that on purpose. -- Emi's mouth twitched a little, but continued walking towards the city gates without looking back at him. If she did, he could probably see the truth in her eyes. " Fine," she said bluntly, answering his question. She contemplated asking him how he slept, too, but decided not to. That question would probably bring up some other very unnecessary and unpleasant questions. There was silence between them until they reached the city gates. Even then, she had to think for several moments before she was ready to speak without feeling like she was just going to screw it up again. " They should be here soon, I hope. I'll be really pissed if they're not awake."

This is going to be a pain, and ultimately not worth it, is it? For most of the walk back to the city gates, which were pretty close by, Elrick examined the map Emi had handed him the previous night. Not that it really helped. Whichever landmarks were drawn on it he didn't know or recognized. He had only been to that world once before, after all, and he hadn't even spent that much time exploring; mostly hiding in the shade and talking to a mouse. Either way, if they had to go find landmarks, he could probably be the fastest one at finding them, thanks to that grappling hook on his left gauntlet. Within a couple of minutes they had reached the meeting place, again, finding the other two there. He waved as he approached them with the same hand that was holding the map, still checking it out of the corner of his eye. "Good morning. Hope you two had a pleasant night," he greeted them, stopping only a couple of meters from them, going back to inspecting that awful piece of paper. "I dunno why I'm still looking at this. I barely know the world and I keep looking at this," he said, his eyes moving frantically from side to side.
