"So what, I'm a little dramatic. Learn to deal." -- Emi was not doing well with the Yellow Opera. She'd been shocked again and could have sworn she smelled her hair burning. Not to mention every time she hoped into the air to attack the Heartless, it would quickly shoot higher or swoop to the side, leaving her to be carried along by her own momentum. That monster was teasing her and Emi didn't like being teased. She landed on her feet, stumbled forward, caught herself. With a snarl, she spun around. With her hair in her face, she looked a little more intense than she should have fighting against such a small Heartless. But this was personal now. In her hands, Daggerwing and Duskywing glowed faintly, like a purple fog lifting off the metal rods. " Alright, I've had it with you, you little punk," she growled, crouching low. She blew her hair out of her face, briefly revealing her rarely seen right eye. After that, she rushed forward. The Yellow Opera floated at head height, seemingly waiting to just jerk out of the way again or blast her with a shock of lightning. It wasn't prepared for Emi's increased speed, however. She lashed out with Duskywing, the weapon merely a blur. She hit the Heartless hard, sending it flying to the left, tumbling over itself. It hit a wall and exploded. A tiny pink heart floated into the sky. Emi huffed, pushed her hair out of her face and clipped her weapons back to her belt. She turned and looked at Lillian and Castle " Thanks for the assist, guys." -- Battle Report: Emi used 'Swift Blow'. 1 use remaining 4 posts to next use

End to a Good Fight Lillian smirked back after she watched Castle defeat the Heartless, giving him a thumbs-up as well. He wasn't too bad of a fighter either; he seemed pretty good as a close-ranged fighter. It was probably why she didn't get to see his skills in the big fight last time. Mystery Man dealt more damage to close-ranged fighters and it would have been really dangerous for Castle if he had dared to go near him. Thinking about that fight though made her thoughts too heavy though; she quickly decided to focus on Emi coming back after she defeated the annoying Yellow Opera.
"No problem at all Emi," she said, still grinning after the victorious battle, even if it was just a small one. "You guys are pretty good fighters. Though, we probably should go back into town. Maybe if we all pool our money in together, we can get a bite to eat or something. I don't know about you, but I really don't feel like fighting Heartless anymore." She twisted both of her guns in her hands before slipping them into her holsters.
"So, whaddya say?" She didn't like being forceful, trying to make her tone as nice as possible, but all of them needed to get something to eat, particularly Emi. Lillian was a bit hungry herself and she wouldn't mind getting something to eat with these two nice people she had just met. Naturally, she didn't want to be the third wheel if they actually had something going on, but she would at least get some food; that was the important part. She kept a smile on her face as she looked at the both of them, awaiting their answer.

Castle whistled briefly at Emi's finishing move, half in teasing, considering how much trouble she had with the annoying little thing, and half in real respect. That looked like a pretty powerful move. He wondered how it would fare against something bigger than a Yellow Opera.
"Sure thing!" he said around the same time Lillian said it was no problem at all. The victory left him in a good mood.
He listened to Lillian's suggestion about teaming up their earnings to get food, and it actually sounded like a pretty good idea. Now that the battle was over, he quickly came to realize how hungry he was. Aside from that, it was going to get dark soon, what with the sun already so low over the horizon. He hadn't forgotten Vincent's warning from his first day here.
"Sounds good to me," he said, looking over at Emi, "How about you?" He said this with a grin that implied, hey,we're going to get that dinner date after all, albeit with an additional person. The addition of Lillian was fine by him, though. Very fine.

"Do I tell them I haven't eaten in like... two days? Nahh. Don't want to seem like a whiner." -- Emi groaned. " Food. Yes," she muttered. She looked around then and the ground was littered with small yellow and blue currency. She set to picking up some and storing it in her pocket. Lillian was right; it looked like there was enough here to buy some food for the three of them. She ignored Castle's insinuating look. Then plan had changed. The plan was now 'food, break into castle, sleep, wake up, go to town, get job, work'. Possibly with some Heartless battles, revenge and a bubble bath thrown somewhere in there. Not to mention she had to continue to practice using those portals. " Let's go," she told Castle and Lillian, a bit of a commanding tone slipping in. She started walking towards the old restoration site again and hoped this time Heartless wouldn't appear. They didn't. Things were safe for now. Heartless hadn't been appearing nearly as much anymore, and usually the security system took care of them. She'd heard that farther away from the town though, the system was beginning to break down and Heartless were spawning more plentifully. She thought about that for a few seconds and wondered if she could find work repairing the security system when this reconstruction job was over. Sure, both jobs would require a little training. But she learned fast.

A Bite to Eat Lillian raised an eyebrow at Castle as he whistled at Emi, rolling her eyes shortly afterward. If it wasn't made obvious before, it was obvious now that this guy was a bit of a womanizer. It certainly explained what Lillian thought was a ridiculous pose earlier; he had been posing for the two of him in hopes that they would fawn over him or something. Well, that's how her mind interpreted it, and she was not about to fawn over anyone. Besides, Castle seemed to be more focused on Emi anyway; probably because she didn't call him ridiculous.
The Heartless had left them enough money to go eat dinner with, so that was good. Emi picked it up while the others just sort of stood there. Lillian kept the smile on her face, glancing between the two of them. Castle was giving Emi some sort of look, telling the gunslinger girl one thing; they were still going to get that dinner date weren't they? Oh well, Lillian would just have to mess that up as much as possible. She had a little too much fun causing the occasional amount of mischief and this would be the perfect place to go.
"All right," she replied to Emi, starting to follow her back to the old restoration site. She then turned her head back at Castle, beckoning him to follow the two of them. "Come on, don't just stand there all day. Let's get something to eat. I look forward to messing up your little date anyway." She smirked at him as she teased a tiny bit and turned her head back to face the front. This was the perfect way to end a day: fight some Heartless and then go out with some new people that she had never met before. All seemed well for the moment, her tainted heart forgotten about for the moment.

Lillian's words snapped him out of a brief reverie. He had been looking at the sunset, finding himself glad that he was able to catch it here after all. Off all the things that this new world offered, sunsets, and sunrises, were probably the best so far. The pensive look that had momentarily come over his face quickly vanished under a grin as he followed after Lillian and Emi.
"Hey, no problem," he retorted casually to her light teasing, "The more the merrier, right?"
That was obviously meant as a joke, mostly to avoid making it sound totally wrong. And really, now that they'd fought a battle together, being in their company was starting to feel less like flirting-for-fun and more like... what? It struck him as odd that he didn't know. What other kind of company could he experience with a couple of girls?
And while he was at it, when was the last time he'd ever gone out with anyone like this, female or otherwise? He spent time at the cafe in First District, sure, but he usually did that alone or when he was trying to pick someone up. Things like this were things that he usually watched other people do in their various groups of friends, sometimes interjecting himself for the fun of it, but always going home alone in the end.
Those thoughts were surprisingly depressing, and he shoved them aside. "What about you, Emi? You bothered by having our date 'messed up'?" he joked to push the thoughts even further away.

Emi rolled her eyes. " Absolutely crushed," she replied sarcastically and shoved her hands into her jean pockets. They made their way towards the town and the remaining buildings. Emi kept quiet and mostly to herself. Before she knew it, she had spaced out and made the entire trip to the restaurant almost by memory and without looking up. By the time they arrived, it was twilight and looking a little spooky in town. She halfway expected more Heartless to climb out of the shadows. The three of them walked inside and over to a table. There were four chairs at the table, but only three of them and for some reason the extra chair made Emi feel uneasy. She told herself that was stupid, it was just a chair. With a sigh, she turned her thoughts to food. She took her hands out of her pockets and all the munny she'd collected with them. She put the munny on the table and said " Okay, what can we get with this?"

No Idea Whatsoever She continued to smile at Castle's retort and started walking back with Emi once he joined them. The three of them were taking the date thing in stride and laughing about the joke that she had started, which was her intention. She kept her arms to her sides as she walked with the two of them, all of them staying quiet as they walked through the town. It was starting to get dark, creating an eerie glow around them. The Heartless would hopefully not be out to get them again, but she doubted they would attack in the middle of town. They seemed to like the outskirts more than anything.
They reached the restaurant that Emi was talking about earlier in silence and went to sit at a table. Lillian decided to sit across from Emi and watch as the munny was put out on the table. She then looked up as she tried to think of what they could possibly eat with this munny. She didn't know what sort of food they had in Radiant Garden; Libertas had been a bit different, though she couldn't imagine that it was too much of a difference.
"Pizza maybe? I don't know what these Moogles make," she said, looking around a bit. She glanced at Castle for a minute with an 'I don't know' look on her face. This wasn't her world and she had only spent a few days in it, one of them with the humongous battle. She may have been working with the Restoration Committee as hard as she could, but she still didn't feel like she knew this place at all yet. This place was a home to so many people and she was only just learning its customs... and about Moogles. Moogles were a new addition to her life too.

"I don't even know if moogles run this place," Castle mused as he looked around. There was one at the counter, but that was the only one he saw. He looked back at the munny on the table and quickly counted it up. It wasn't much, but it wasn't too little, either. They could probably afford something adequate if this place was reasonable.
Soon, a waitress came over to their table. She was definitely human, and she struck Castle as being somebody's mom. Even so, he succeeded in making her giggle by the time their order was taken. It turned out the place sold pizza, after all.
Castle couldn't speak for Emi or Lillian, but the rest of the evening was actually enjoyable. He found himself more relaxed than he had been in a while, especially since his arrival and accidental self-stranding on this world. He knew at this point that the gummi ship was probably never going to come back for him. And truthfully, the realization that he was stranded on this world indefinitely did bother him sometimes. But, if there were people like Emi and Lillian here, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
