Then It's Settled!
Raen couldn't help but grin at her answer. "And that's the answer I was hoping for. Oh, before I forget." Clapping his hands together, he suddenly remembered something he needed to do. Walking over to the nightstand next to the bed, he opened the top drawer and pulled out a pen. Taking the note from last night out of his pocket, he scribbled something on it quickly and walked out to the balcony, setting the note on the table. Returning to the room, he said with a certain finality, "Well, shall we?" Before he opened the door for Lanying.
As the two left the hotel, Raen said to her, "Oh, yes--you're driving this time. If you're going to be traveling with me then you've gotta learn how to fly a Gummi Ship." He had the feeling that Lanying might be a little less than thrilled with that, but he couldn't help but laugh a little. It had taken a while, but things finally seemed to be looking up for them.
---Back in the hotel room---
A young man and woman stopped on the balcony outside Raen's room. Picking up the note, the man unfolded it and read the contents aloud, the woman laughing at the man when he finished.
"Sorry I couldn't stay. Maybe next time. And improve your humor. Kidney Shot, really, Matt?
-Raen"
