Fading Fast

For the second time, Lanying found herself being helped by Zack. And while she never enjoyed showing weakness, she did greatly appreciate the support he offered. She might have even gone so far as to ask that he carry her again had the cloaked man not been there. Back on Neverland, she had not minded too much, since they had been the only ones on that small island. But she would sooner face an endless horde of Heartless than get carried out of here like some dainty princess in front of the Nobody.

And now, he was speaking to them again. Did none of these Nobodies ever stop talking? First, it had been Demyx endlessly complaining about Zexion. Then, it had been Zexion himself waxing long about darkness and whatnot. Now, it was this pink-haired stranger apparently attempting to persuade them to join his cause or some such. He expected them to happily agree just because he claimed to want to destroy this Organization? He may have thought this was more than a petty fight, but to her, that was all it appeared to be. Pointless in-fighting. She could do without getting involved in that. So, she ignored the man.

Raen approached them again and told her she should not have healed him. She would have tried to explain why she had done what she did, but she did not want speak too much at the moment. Instead, she attempted to brush it off with a faint shake of her head. "No, I will be fine. I just have a few scratches." Returning Raen's smile, she involuntarily leaned a little heavier into Zack as more of her strength was leaving her. "Let's return to the ship."

She would walk out of here on her own two feet.

Zack didn't really pay attention to what the man was saying, most of it he didn't even really understand. What was the Organization anyway? He was definitely going to be asking Lanying and Raen about them when they got back to the ship. Raen and Lanying both choose to ignore him, so Zack did the same for now. Raen had approached to try and help Lanying, but he was pretty beat himself and didn't make it until he had already been helping her up.

Raen went ahead and held the door open for them as Zack felt Lanying starting to lean more against him. She must have really gave it her all. "Yeah, let's go," he agreed and started to lead Lanying out towards the ship.

Marluxia scowled as his words were ignored or rebutted by the trio. It was forseeable, but that didn't mean that it was welcomed. As the trio exited the castle, and soon the world, Marluxia was left standing alone.

"Tis a shame you chose to work against me, for now you will find that you will lose so much more than ever before." He opened up a corridor of darkness, his business finished on this world for now. If they would not work together with him willingly as humans then he would force them to work with him as Nobodies. Or he would destroy them. That much was certain. And with those final thoughts, he was no longer in Beast's Castle.
