Aww, only barrels? Puh-lease, I could kill these in my sleep with my arms tied behind my back and my feet glued together while being dragged by a Gummi Ship. Ava looked out at the barrels and his grin faded slowly, turning into a forlorn frown, one to drag tears at the edges of your eyes. A sad face that puts a puppy to shame. "But...I wanna..." His voice trailed off. He had been looking forward to killing things so much...maybe there would be death next? Ava's grin returned, the color returning to his cheeks(metaphorically speaking).
He ran towards a barrel, darkness oozing out of the hole in his chest and down his arms. He swung his right arm at it, and a pure black katana--black as the darkest night--slashed the barrel in twain. Flicking his left wrist, a second katana appeared. Perhaps they would be impressed enough by his skills that they would try to fight him. Just as the new barrel appeared, Ava slashed it into the air. Jumping, he began to cut into it at all sorts of angles, slicing through it and cutting the wooden object to mere splinters.
With a kick, he sent the jagged pieces flying at a second barrel, before diving himself. As he dropped, Ava spun around, enjoying the feeling of pure excitement he got when he killed. Hitting the ground, Ava immediately began sprinting, moving faster than almost anyone could. He raced the splinters to the other barrel, and, just as they arrived, he slashed through it, cutting it in half as it was assaulted by a barrage of wooden shrapnel.
Turning to the others, Ava waved with his left arm, a wide sheepish grin on his face. "Did you see that?" he asked the gathered audience, marveling at his own work. Just then, he noticed something was off with his balance. Reaching his hand around, Ava pulled out a jagged piece of the barrel he had nearly disintegrated. "Oops, a bit slow on the release." You win this time, gravity, but there will be a next time. And next time, I'm not gonna take my own shrapnel in the back!
Or anyone else's, for that matter!

Punch Me. Then We'll Be Friends.[Against the Rest remixed by BrainCells; original track from Super C]
While Elrick, Ava, and this new girl were showing off, Axel just stood there, arms folded across his chest, silently observing. Defying gravity was all well and good, he supposed, but it didn't go much good if you were facing the kinds of wildfires he could summon up. Barrels were also not the best opponents considering that they didn't move. No challenges in destroying stationary inanimate objects. But they worked well enough as targets. Though, Ava seemed disappointed that barrels were the only available fodder for his sword.
Even though they were busted, the training aids immediately reappeared. Handy. "Oh, is it my turn now? Might as well."
Fire burst into life beneath his hands as they loosely hung at his sides. Eternal Flames appeared in their usual manner, spinning for a few seconds before Axel grabbed them. He was in a slight crouch now, rotating his weapons in hand, remembering their weight and balance as he contemplated what to do to all these barrels. Naturally, burning them all at once was a nice option in his mind. But he didn't want to show all of his cards at once, as Luxord would say.
Need to move. Stretch the legs and the arms. No need to think about anything.
Driven purely by instinct, Axel went immediately for the nearest barrel, one of his weapons drawn back. He slashed straight across the wooden prop, fire exploding upon contact. Giant chunks of wood, engulfed in flames, went flying off in three directions, hitting other barrels and setting them ablaze.
Without pausing to admire his initial handiwork, the Flame launched himself toward another barrel, this one proving sturdy enough to take the explosive hit from a chakram. It went sailing straight into another barrel that, in turn, also shot into the air. Both chakrams flew from his hands, slicing into the airborne barrel and tearing it to shreds. The fires he had started slowly died as new barrels appeared to take their charred brethren' s place.
He straightened, though Eternal Flames remained in his hands. "Well, I think I'm warmed up now." He smirked at his own pun. "How about we get the real show started?"

Oh, I’ll hit you alright. But, we’ll skip the homoerotic conversation after that. After he took the lead for some barrel smashing, everyone seemed to follow suit pretty quickly. The guy - or heartless, but who cared- named Ava performed a couple of moves even more show-off-y than Elrick’s, surprising him somewhat. The somewhat based on the simple observational fact that he wasn’t human, and as such he could probably move in ways regular people couldn’t. Not that he particularly cared; he always managed to get around such inconveniencies in case of a fight by thinking of a strategy. Of course, what surprised him the most was that Lillian had decided to show up. Or, better said, the fact she was talking again. “That probably means no murder in my sleep,” Elrick thought to himself, half joking, half relieved. “How could I mind? You are back to being more than part of the scenery now!” he yelled, sitting atop the pillar and looking down at her, and her shooting of barrels. “Ugh, guns…” he remembered why he didn’t like them as she used them. In fact, he had a certain disdain for most ranged weapons, guns were just the top on the list. He didn’t dislike those who used –for the most part; there was an exception- just the things themselves. And then Axel started getting into it himself, using a pair of weapons Elrick had never seen before, but he certainly liked them a lot more than firearms. Of course, they were fire related, which was something he should have figured the moment he met the guy. His head was blazing red for God’s sake. “Haha, how funny,” he commented slightly sarcastically to his ‘warming up’ remark, standing on the pillar and slowly drawing his sword. “I’ll give you a show alright.”Holding his sword in front of him for a second, he wondered whether to go all out or hold back a little. This was a training session after all, so maybe he should hold some things back. Mainly his sword and try not to cut someone in half. So, he decided to put his sword back on its sheath, and tied the hilt with the blue cloth so it wouldn’t fall out of it. Now, holding the sword with the sheath on as if it were something completely normal, he leapt from the pillar and came down with a downwards slash on Axel.

Why Do I Always Get Stuck With the Stalkers? Great, this Heartless talked too. How many Heartless was she going to meet that talked and were capable of thought? It and the guy dressed in black showed off in their destruction of the barrels. She should have figured that the red-head was a pyro just by looking at him, though she didn't figure that his weapons would be so... odd one could say. Either way, he mentioned something about getting the real show started, which probably meant some actual combat with each other. Goody, she came just at the right time; now she could actually do something besides be part of the scenery as Elrick described. This could turn out to be fun.
Or not. Elrick could just leave her with a sentient-Heartless again. "Yeah, I leave being part of your ship's boring scenery so you can stick me with fighting another talking Heartless... thanks." She said this as he went after red-head from his pillar, her words sarcastic in tone. She then turned to actually look at this Heartless she was supposed to be fighting with now. She didn't like the look on its face; it was eerie and creepy, just like all other Heartless. The hole in its chest didn't help matters either. Still, an opponent was an opponent and she might as well do some combat with this one. She didn't move from her spot, instead just shifting her aim to around the area where the Heartless was.
"Looks like it's you and me," she said to it, not knowing whether to call it a male or female Heartless; did Heartless even have genders? That probably wasn't important right now anyway. The point was that this Heartless fought with two swords and when he showed off, he was pretty darn fast. She'd have to be fast in her shots and probably shoot more than she liked to just to get him. She also had to make sure she kept her distance just to stay on the safe side.
Bullets of energy were fired shortly thereafter, about four shots. Not all of them were aimed directly at the Heartless, but at least two of them were. She wanted to see just how fast it could move.

Chakrams > Wrenches
This was what he had been waiting for. Though, Axel hadn't expected Elrick to cover his sword like that. The gesture was odd, since he was so used to people wanting to kill him. Intentionally deciding not to inflict as much pain as possible upon the enemy was a foreign concept to him. On one level, he could see the reasoning behind it. This was just a sparring match. No need to cause unnecessary damage. However, handicapping his own weapons wasn't really an option.
The Flame side-stepped out of the way and gave Elrick a little tap on the shoulder with the end of a chakram, just to keep him honest. With this being a training exercise, most if not all of the abilities at his disposal would remain unused. Setting anything and everything on fire would be great fun. But he also ran the risk of actually killing his sparring partner.
"Hmm... this might still hurt." He studied Elrick's sheathed sword for a moment, then flicked his eyes to his own weapons. "Not much I can do about that. Consider any blood drawn to be your own fault for not blocking well enough."
The girl was shooting at Ava, which meant Axel and Elrick were left to their own devices for the time being. Choosing to keep his distance, the Flame stepped back several paces and threw both of his chakrams in quick succession at Elrick. No extra speed, no fiery extra damage. If necessary, that could always come later.

Playtime. Ava grinned heavily. Now, it was time for the real fun to begin. The shots were fired at him, but he could see it was just a test. No one battle-ready would miss two out of four shots. Of course, none of them hit, but he could tell he would have a hard time defeating her in battle. It would take more than that which he was accustomed to if he wished to succeed. Spinning the two katanas, the being of Chaos dodged to the side of one of the shots, slashing in midair to deflect the other.
"It'll take more than that to win against me," he said in a sing-song manner with a happy note to it as he rolled onto his feet. Ava brushed himself off, his eyes watching her and observing. He knew he could charge her, and he might beat her that way, but that would be no fun. Plus, she could hurt him a lot if she shot him with her gun. He wasn't one to just needlessly hurt himself. He did that with Furiae, but that was to demoralize her. There was no reason to here.
And so, Ava decided to wait. He wouldn't charge her yet. After all, he wanted this one to last for at least a little while. Maybe I'll end it if it gets boring. He hoped that she could keep him entertained, because otherwise he might play too roughly. Roughhousing was okay to an extent, but people didn't like it when he cut them open... He noticed the man with a sword sheathe the blade and tie it in. Liquid ran out of his chest-hole and down his arms, covering the blades in what appears to be a sheathe on each, attached to the blade. He could play fair...sometimes.

This physical prowess cost me 12 HP points. While the fire user easily dodge his attack, Elrick landed on the ground on which he stood only seconds before, his legs bending at the knees a bit, almost couching, and him leaning forward while he held his sword to his right. He felt Axel tap him on the shoulder as he moved away from him, the voyager giving a fierce fiery look out of the corner of his eye. He wasn’t that concerned over his weapons. Sure, they were pointy and all, but getting accidentally stabbed with one of those wouldn’t be nearly as bad as a fully fledged sword. Or getting shot. “Oh, I can manage, trust me,” he answered Axel’s remark of not being able to handicap his own weapons. Of course he couldn’t, Elrick had figured that much the moment he saw them. What would Axel do, put corks on the tips? Replace them with barrel lids? Tires? Actually, those sounded like plausible solutions, but it didn’t really matter. Either way, the red haired man jumped back after the warning and threw his weapons at Elrick at a relatively nice speed. Leaning his head to the side, Elrick dodge the first one just by a couple of inches from leaving his face permanently marked. In a swift move, he spun on his feet and slammed the second throwing-disk-thing with his sword, quickly dashing after its user less than a second later. He jumped over a newly spawned barrel on his way, and as he landed right in front of Axel, he attacked with his sheathed sword in a piercing motion… The sword not hitting him, but rather going by his side, below his armpit. Elrick looked up slightly and grinned at Axel, pulling the sword back and in quick succession slamming his chest with the palm of his left hand.

If You Can Block or Absorb Agi Skills, I'm Kinda Screwed
Having his chakrams dodged and deflected didn't come as a surprise. However, the blow to the chest did. It was hard enough to knock him back a couple of paces, but it did little more than spark the killer instinct inside of him. In a rush of twisting fire, Eternal Flames returned to him within seconds. The only thing that kept him from unleashing everything at his disposal was the repeated mental reminder that this was training, nothing more. But it was starting to really bug him that he had to refrain from burning things.
...Who says I can't burn whatever the hell I want?
His eyes darted briefly over the current layout of barrels before settling on the barrel that Elrick had jumped over to get to him. He could start with that one. Slipping quickly around to the other side of Elrick and also that barrel, he released Eternal Flames as a large ball of fire exploded into life between the weapons. Even if that didn't catch Elrick in the blast, it would be enough to engulf the barrel in flames.
Knowing he now had room to work, since Elrick had either gotten thrown back by the attack itself or had jumped back to dodge it, Axel proceeded to shatter the fiery training prop with a swipe of his weapons. The wreckage flew in every direction, spreading the flames to several others barrels which were, fortunately enough, in a relatively neat line. He dashed for those, smacking them in quick succession as best he could with the flats of his chakrams rather than the tips. Four burning barrels were now sailing in Elrick's direction.

No Holding Back The Heartless moved fast and was... sing-songy. Lillian wasn't quite sure what to make of that, but she sure as hell wasn't going to go easy on it; that sort of seemed like what Elrick was doing, but the guy he was fighting was human... or humanish at the very least. Either way, the Heartless was waiting for her to make the next move and wasn't charging her like all of the other Heartless usually did. That meant it actually had a brain unlike others of its kind and it knew how to make tactical moves. She'd have to be careful.
"What? Just going to stand there and not attack? I see how it is." She grinned, focusing her aim again on the Heartless in its new spot. She started shooting straight at it this time, not trying to go at different angles. Six shots were fired straight at the Heartless before she changed her mind about what she was going to do. She stopped firing for a minute before focusing, then shooting one gun three times and the other one twice. Instead of her normal energy shots, missiles came out and were going straight for the Heartless.
This particular brand of Heartless was fast, but would it be fast enough to dodge and deflect those shots? Well, if it deflected them, they would still explode; she wanted to see this new ability cause some exploding. It'd have to move relatively fast to escape the shots and maybe it would come charge her. If it did that, she needed to be prepared. The katanas didn't exactly look blunt and there were two of them. Heartless weren't about to hold back either, even the talking ones. After today, she hoped she would never meet another talking Heartless ever again.

BANG! See, I can do it too. As predicted, the girls knew what she was doing with her guns. She would have gunned him down long before he would have been able to reach her. Either that or driven him back. But either way, the result is the same. Ava watched her fire off six shots at him, two of which he deflected, the others he avoided. Watching the blasts strike the ground, Ava was almost caught off guard by the seeking blasts that were then shot at him.
A grin spread across the creature's face. "Nice try, but no dice." Ava pointed his katana at the blasts and shouted, "BANG!" Suddenly, randomly colored energy blasted from the end of the 'sheathed' blade. Three of the mimicked missiles struck the opposing missiles in mid-flight, while the other two continued towards Lillian. Ava was now down to only two energy missiles, which were much easier to dodge. Of course, Ava didn't see it coming that they would explode so brilliantly. One of the missiles erupted behind him, blasting him forward.
Rolling in the air, Ava lost his grin for a moment. After landing and righting himself, it returned. "That was rather fun. But I think we should try a game better suited to my talents!" At this, Ava charged, rushing towards Lillian as fast as he could. As he arrived, the Heartless slashed with his blades, intending to distract her with a fast flurry of blows, and get in several solid hits. It would be all he needed, after all.

Allow me to swap cards for inmunity. Just a second. Things were progressing as expected, or relatively so. After taking the full blunt attack to his chest and falling back, Axel quickly moved to the side and away from Elrick. Figures he’d try to stay away, he had longer range than him after all. And if there was one thing Elrick knew, it was how to seriously kick some ass in close range fights. The second thing he knew was how to shoot his gummi ship’s gun onto enemies, but that was neither then nor there. While moving only a couple steps to the side as he observed the pyromaniac’s movements, he couldn’t help but wonder. “Why is he targeting the barre… Oh crap,” he didn’t have much time to react, barely enough to cover his face with his right arm as the explosion knocked him back about two meters. Coughing and cursing under his breath, he was very close to having a beeper censor him, insulting himself for not having predicted that move. Of course, now he had something else on his way to worry about. “Oh, of course. I give you an opening, you try to keep me as far from yourself as possible,” he sighed at the sight of the barrels rolling in his direction. Even if they weren’t particularly slow, after an explosion almost on his face, this seemed more like a piece of cake. Quickly drawing his sword to his right – effectively leaving the sheathing moments ago void - a gust of wind erupted from Elrick’s hand and down the blade, all the way to its tip. The green wind gust started to envelop the weapon tighter in almost an instant, the gust seemingly disappearing and leaving just the blade with the new color tint. Taking his chance, Elrick quickly dashed towards the incoming barrels, sliding on the ground in front of one of them and performing a quick uppercut with his katana. The now two halves of the burning barrel had risen into the air for a couple of seconds after the attack, leaving Elrick with a gap to move through that he made quick work of. All that remained now was the fire instigator himself. Sprinting towards Axel, the warrior took on a new battle stance, preparing his sheath in a backwards hold. Of course, he had something else up his sleeve when it came to that. Only meters before Axel, he quickly wrapped his left hand on the cloth that usually tied his sheath, and with a quick motion he swung the sheath towards his target as if it was a chain, or… well, anything tied to the end of a rope. Even with that attack on its way to Axel’s side, he kept his momentum forward and as he got closer he performed a slash of his sword from the right. He had prepared a simple, yet sometimes effective, pincer attack. [Garu Blade activated. One more post for use. Four posts till next activation. Four uses remaining.]

How Do You Like My Version of Fire Amp?
The fiery projectiles hadn't fazed Elrick much at all, which was disappointing, but Axel couldn't dwell on that. The sword was now out of its sheath and both of them were angling for him, one from one side and one on the other. Luckily, duel-wielding weapons came with the advantage to guard yourself from both sides. The sheath easily bounced off one of the chakrams, but the sword proved more difficult to stop, what with all that wind licking at the blade. For the barest of moments, both weapons were locked, the impact shuddering up Axel's arm. But then another explosion generated from the sword's contact with the chakram pushed Axel and Elrick away from each other.
The second the Flame's boots touched the ground again, he was already launching himself back at Elrick. The direct assault was a feint, though, and he dashed around behind his sparring partner. Barrels were still burning, and they looked like they needed to be tossed at someone. There were two of them near each other, the pair also happening to be close to Elrick. One got hit straight into the other, the collision causing them to explode.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Shoot. She had to move now.
The Heartless was a pretty smart one and was somehow able to fire her missiles back at her. While usually she would think that this sort of move was sort of impressive, two missiles and a crazy Heartless with sharp swords were coming straight for her. She jumped out of the stands and into the actual fighting area to get away from the missiles, but that didn't remove the other threat. She wasn't exactly made to fight against swords, especially when the user was really fast with them and there two, not just one. Eh, she'd just have to figure out something.
Lillian first attempted to block the katanas with the guns themselves. She managed to deflect a few hits, but the rest was just too fast. The Heartless got a good amount of blows on her after the initial distraction of the initial flurry of swords. After it finished, she was breathing hard and hurting. She was not going to let that thing get near her again without at least some sort of armor, but she couldn't exactly go run and get that right now. For the moment, she had to distance herself from him and get faster to ensure that.
"My turn again," she said, then abruptly moving away and moving much faster than she was before. She made sure she put some distance between this Heartless and her before starting to shoot again. Normally, she didn't like firing a lot of shots if she had to, but in order to keep this thing on its toes and make it harder for it to get close to her again, she used the speed boost she got to fire quicker. Within one second, she fired six shots and in the next, fired six more. She wasn't about to let up on this either.

Where is Jack Frost when I need him? Expectedly enough, Axel found no problems in blocking his pincer attack. He was dual wielding those disk-thingy weapons after all. The one thing that went against him though, was the blast the continuous contact between his katana and his left weapon caused, which caused them to separate by a couple of meters. “Is this guy made of pyrotechnic or something?” he thought as he landed back, impaling his sword on the ground a couple of inches down. Of course, that little rest didn’t last for long, since his training partner was already moving again. “Ugh… Nobodies must have a larger stamina bar…” his mind wondered again as he resumed a proper fighting stance… only for the red and black scarecrow to once again move around him and use barrels to cause an explosion close to him. This, at his back. The explosion, while it didn’t hurt him per se, blasted him away from his target again. While in the air, he barely managed to shift his body so that he’d land facing Axel, and as such as he got close to the ground, he pierced the hard tiles with his sword, dragging for half a meter or so. “Do not go overboard… Do not go overboard… Do not go overboard…” Elrick repeated to himself, trying to contain his burning desire to go all out after having been thrown around by explosions three times already. That and, he most likely smelled like barbeque by now. The thought only lasted for about a second, for it didn’t take long before he started dashing at Axel again. This time, however, he was going to be playing his game. Switching his katana to his left hand and the sheath to the right in a quick motion, he started hitting the barrels on his way in Axel’s direction with the sheath as he approached him, some even kicking them. After throwing him five or six, he changed the grip his left hand to hold the katana in reverse position, and when he was about five meters away from him, he threw his katana at the black cloaked man as if it were a spear, never stopping his sprint. Now that the sword was flying at its target, he firmly held onto the sheath with both hands, preparing to hit the man as soon as he tried dodging the projectile. There Was a Fusion Accident. You Got Narcissus Instead.
Hah. Elrick had finally caught onto the barrel tossing game.
Though the guy was quickly bearing down on him, Axel had enough time to bust a few of the wooden projectiles with a couple of precise throws of Eternal Flames. This, in turn, sent showers of burning wood scraps flying everywhere in the arena. It wasn't enough to deter Mr. Let-Me-Hit-You-With-The-Casing-Of-My-Weapon, but that didn't matter. A sword was coming for him through the air, but the Flame deflected it off to the side with one of his chakrams.
He made no effort to dodge or block the makeshift flail.
Unmoving, except for relaxing the opposite arm holding the chakram that had not blocked, he took the strike right across his chest. Pain flared through his body, but he welcomed it. He wasn't completely lifeless. Some things, he could still feel. Normally, he would have retaliated immediately. But instead, he just chuckled, hunched over a little and rotating his weapons lazily at his sides.
"Thanks for that." He grinned at Elrick. "Had enough yet?" Truth be told, he wasn't as energetic as he let on anymore. Nobodies might not be human, but they still had their limits. And he wasn't this tired only because he was probably a little out of shape. This guy was certainly no pushover.
