Chasing the Dragon [Castle, Arc]

Castle watched him go. Those warnings about the darkness seemed pretty ominous, but they made sense. He heard similar things from adults when he was a kid. Being careful of the darkness was a standard by now, right next to "drugs are bad." Still, he couldn't help but wonder how much control people really had over the light and darkness within themselves, or how someone like Arc could actually see those things inside people.

"And now he's gone," he said once Arc was out of sight. "A couple weeks of traveling resolved in a couple of minutes. Can't say I'm disappointed, though..."

He turned to Emi and studied her for a moment. It was weird to think that she had some sort of special power now, or special weapon, or both. However, nothing was really different from how she was a few minutes ago.

"So... what now? Our search is over, so, where are we going to go?"

He looked at the sky again and thought that staying here for a bit wouldn't be so bad. However, something told him that it was unrealistic. Maybe he had developed a nomadic nature from all the traveling they did, and it was making him automatically restless.

Arc's warning understandably unsettled her. She looked on with an equally serious look on her face, making sure to take everything he said to heart. While it unsettled her, it gave her a goal. Now, she had a reason to conquer the darkness. Only a short time ago, her goal had been to control it so that it wouldn't hurt her when she used the corridors. This was taking it a step further.

She watched him leave, and sighed. Castle was talking to her, but her mind was somewhere else, deep in thought. "Hmm? Oh. I don't know.[/color]"

She really didn't know. She supposed they could just go back to Radiant Garden but it seemed kind of anti-climactic. Still, she was beginning to feel a need to return there as she had some problems to resolve there just like she had in Twilight Town. Mainly getting over the embarrassment of getting her ass kicked by Sephiroth (Emi blushed. Oh, fabulous, that was coming back to her in vivid detail) and finding a way to support herself and a place to live. There were other things she wanted to do and they would come with time, but for now... she just wanted to get back and try and get things in order.

She started to walk off back to the gummi ship. "C'mon, let's go back to Radiant Garden. Is that cool with you?[/color]"
