Master of Puppets [Open]

This is all very interesting, but if it's going to kill me, I'm leaving.

Well, this was an unexpected turn of events. Soren actually turned out to be some kind of strange weapon that Daniel controlled. The thing's name was Gabriel, and Soren had been a false personality. As usual, all of this was memorized.

Now that the Darkside was gone, Ava was out of his battle-focused mindset and into his more typical curious one. "Hey, Ava. It's been a while. Been busy?"

He shifted his attention to Daniel. "Nice new toy you found yourself, hm?" He felt no pity for Soren's--or Gabriel's--plight. Even if he could feel, he and Soren weren't exactly best friends forever.

"So, does it only fight Heartless?" If it also fought Nobodies, he might have to leave in a hurry.

Gabriel had lapsed into silence. Daniel certainly felt remorse, but now the others who had fought were asking him questions. Very reluctantly, he turned to answer them.

"My name is Daniel," he said to the creature. It sort of resembled a Heartless, but Gabriel wasn't attacking it. It must be something uncatalogued.

He would get back to that later. Looking at the red-haired man, he said, "Partially. Its- his function is to identify sources of darkness and destroy them. Mainly an anti-Heartless weapon, although certain people with a strong enough darkness can trigger him as well."

People like Jericho, he thought.

Gabriel remained ever silent.

Inner monologues are the best kind!

Ava grinned. Busy? Nope! "Not at all. Just been wandering around, mostly." Looking around, the Chaosling turned to face the man with the killing machine. Daniel, his name was? And an anti-darkness weapon? And it wasn't triggering on him? That meant...he really was either in the middle, or at least not tainted enough by it to be considered "of the darkness."

That was...different. He didn't know that about himself. Ava had, though, noticed the look he was given by the man. It was a look of distrust, as though he were a Heartless, or just as bad. "Daniel, I'm no Heartless, as you can see. I'm what I call a Chaosling...made of pure, undiluted Chaos energy...well, I suppose it wouldn't make sense for it to be just Chaos..."

The Chaosling thought for a moment. If he was pure Chaos, he'd be all over the place. But he wasn't all over the place, so...he had to have some order. But almost all of his bodily energies were made of Chaos. All of them except the Order in the former hole in his chest... So, the Chaos had to be bound in place by something. But, binding and stability implied Order forces at work, which meant... His energies were Chaos...but bound by Order?

Chaos bound in Order? That was... Ava knew that was the truth of it. He was built of Chaos energy bound by Order forces. Order serving Chaos, his mind thought, trailing off. "I'm made of pure Chaos energy, but it's bound by Order. Chaos bound by Order~" the Chaosling sang, even as he knew that Axel, at least, would discount his words because they came from his lips. Well, Ava would show him. He could be brilliant sometimes!

And sometimes he just killed things...in spectacular ways, but killing nonetheless.

Don't tell me you're one of those.

Ava hadn't been busy. Of course. Seeing that Ava's disposition was far from steady, Axel doubted he made plans and stuck to them on a regular basis.

The more interesting piece of information was that this Gabriel was designed to target darkness and eradicate it. Hm. Had this Daniel guy been living under a rock? Axel thought he'd try correcting that.

"You do know about the imbalance, right? Apparently, there's too much Light, and if something isn't done about it, the universe is going to implode. Something like that, anyway." He shrugged. "So, you might want to watch the zeal."

Well, now that you mention it...

The Ava creature- a creature of chaos, apparently- was going off on its own tangent. Perhaps it was best to ignore it.

Daniel shook his head. "I'm not going to be running around destroying Heartless, if that's what you're implying. I'm only using him to kill one thing. Then I deactivate him again."

Gabriel was beginning to stir, and stood up, examining both Ava and Axel. Its eyes emitted an unnatural green light, seeming to glow.

Subject A identified as lacking darkness, Subject B is unknown. Attack?[/color] Gabriel's voice was the same, but somehow had more of a robotic quality to it.

The telepathic link had been established, then. Had the Soren personality been destroyed? Negative. Do not engage.[/color]

Understood.[/color] The glow faded. "Chaos?" it asked Ava in a more human voice. Soren was still there, apparently. "How strange...And you're a Nobody. You concealed it well..."

His voice wasn't particularly sad, but the sound of resignation hung heavy in it.

You went to all this trouble just so you can kill one thing? Weird.

At least Daniel knew that much. Axel had yet to see any actual signs that this imbalance was a harmful one. There only seemed to be fewer Heartless around, which was bad news for the Organization--if they stuck to their plan to rebuild Kingdom Hearts--but good news for everyone who still had a heart and wanted to keep it that way.

"One thing, huh? And that one thing isn't a Heartless?"

Gabriel was talking to him now. The... thing sounded sad, but of course, Axel could not sympathize with it. "Yeah? Well, I guess I try, usually. It's a lot easier to pretend now that I'm not wearing that cloak anymore."

[Administrator]

BOREDOM.

Axel didn't really have any answer for him, which was okay, since he didn't ask him any questions or anything. Ava looked at Gabriel as he was spoken to, and shrugged in response. Strange? He hadn't really thought about it like that. "I'm used to it, really; after all, I've been like this for as long as I can remember. I forgot how weird it was for other people." The grin spread back across his face then, and he began to do cartwheels and somersaults.

After all, this was boring. They were just talking, and talking, and talking. Ava wondered if either of them wanted to fight; Axel probably wouldn't. Maybe Gabriel or Daniel would. "Anyone wanna spar? I'm bored." Most would have reversed his sentences if they had spoken them, but he wasn't most. And he phrased them in order of importance, anyways. He wanted to spar, but as a side note, he was bored.

"I promise I won't do any serious damage."

Gabriel's eyes locked onto Ava as soon as he spoke. His brain went quickly back into its more robotic state.

Threat detected from unknown source. Attack?[/color]

Daniel sighed. It was completely unecessary, but...perhaps a fight would put the Soren personality back permanently in a state of stasis as he had intended beforehand.

He didn't know. If he could, he'd take Iblis out in a heartbeat and undo it all. But the second Iblis left his system, Soren would run away. If he didn't kill Daniel, that was.

"If you want."

Initiate attack mode.[/color]

Gabriel's muscles tensed all at once. One second he was on the ground-

-then, the next he was gone, up in the air. Daniel could see from his eyes, feel the wind under his wings- it was strange, being simultaneously himself and his weapon.

The winged experiment shot down in a dive attack, seeking to drive Ava into the ground.

[Administrator]

It starts.

Ava grinned. Jumping backwards, he avoided the aerial assault. "Pretty good, but you gotta be better than that to catch me." With that, the Chaosling dove forward, his twin blades spinning in a dance of evisceration. Regardless of whether Gabriel remained there, Ava followed through, dropping to the ground. But, as he did so, he took an undershot, slicing at where the midsection of the creature-thing had been.

Dropping into a roll, Ava returned to his feet quickly and spun to face his opponent. This one was gonna be fun, especially since he was made for battle, it appeared. Spinning his swords in circles, the Chaosling kept his eyes on Gabriel. If the creature were to charge, he would dodge and return with his own attacks, aiming at the creature's wings. After all, if it couldn't fly, it lost its advantage.

Then, it would be simple work to cut the thing to pieces. Ava still had his child-like aura around himself; however, in the course of a few moments, he could lose that. And then, the creature would sense the true danger that was Avarice Entropy.

Can't we do something else?

Really? Did Ava have a one-track mind? Every single time Axel had run into the guy, all he seemed to want to do was fight. Fight, fight, fight. Fighting for the sake of fighting was boring to the Flame. You either fought because your existence was being threatened, or you fought with the sole intention of killing whoever it was you were fighting. If Ava was planning on taking this to that extreme...

"Hey, Ava." Despite the violence permeating the air, Axel's tone was casual, relaxed. "Are you easily distracted?"

He crossed his arms over his chest and shrugged. "You always want to fight. I mean, I get bored pretty easily, but you don't see me blowing random things up."

This fight was very unnecessary. Axel could see that much. No one was threatening anyone else. And he would rather not see this particular place damaged for no good reason.
