Giddiness fluttered inside her. Acting purely on instinct was new to her, but she loved it so very much. Her happiness was compounded further knowing that her family would have been enraged by her actions.

She smiled and then laughed. "Yes. Yes, that's so."

Her fingers reached up to brush against his neck. She could think of no other way to express herself, no other way to tell him what had happened to her. Her fingers slid up into his hair and pulled him closer for another kiss, one much bolder in its intent.

Jericho took her kiss, surprised by her newfound aggression. Perhaps that was the effect of the darkness inside of her. How else would it manifest?

He didn't know, but finding out would certainly be interesting.

"There was never anything before this. Nothing before this mattered, not in the least." Vincent was the faded memory of a dream upon waking, and soon Nadia's old self would be, too. There was just them and the darkness, and neither past nor future mattered at this point.

"Nothing else before this. Why would I want to remember anything else before this?"

She just looked at him for a long while, exploring the details of his face. Then, she leaned into him and rested her cheek against his. Her arms wrapped around his waist.

He smiled and sat down, helping her down with him.

"You look tired, Nadia. You need to rest." He was tired, too, but she looked as if she was about to pass out.

"Just sleep for a bit, and we'll leave later."

[Aerith]

Sleep sounded like a lovely idea. She allowed him to help her down and then leaned against him, wrapping her arms around him as though she was holding a pillow.

"Mmph. Okay..."

Exhaustion took her, and she said no more.
