Are you suggesting we hide out here? -------- The closest thing Alanix could experience to anger was now pulsing in the back of her mind. The Champion was gone? Completely? No. No that couldn't be right. He had set himself up as such a threat to everyone, enlisted her to help him, promised her that she would eventually get her heart back if she helped him, and now he had decided to simply leave? How dare he leave a job unfinished?
What was she supposed to do now?
Never count on men. Never again.
She heard very little of what everyone else said beyond that. It was all meaningless, anyway. Vexen had, as expected, disagreed with her idea, and Aixfeur had followed him in his disagreement. Not that she could call herself an expert in these matters, but she had at least expected more balanced ideas, not outright rejection.
"You would rather watch the light and the darkness tear each other to shreds? You don't seem to think that we would get caught up in this clash."

Why are we even trying anymore? -------- Axel had said little since this meeting started. It was going the same way most of the Organization's meetings went--slowly and without much of interest happening. Honestly, he was bored out of his skull. Why had he come back to all this, again?
Oh, right. Saïx. That tiny ounce of persistent hope that somehow the two of them could go back to the way things were before the darkness took Radiant Garden.
The Flame rolled his eyes a little. "Why don't we say that we're splitting up and call it a day, hm? I think we all know where this is headed."

What, you guys thought that was just a joke? Xigbar should have known better than to come to a meeting called by one of the Organization’s most boring members. Now, with Lexeaus officially gone, it seemed the group would collapse, or something. At this point it was hard to care. Xaldin’s appearance at such a moment could only indicate that he may try to take lead. At least that was Xigbar kept thinking. The man certainly fit the bill. The discussion started to move onto the subject of the Champion. Great. Just what the room needed, people talking about a guy so boring that he disappeared the moment sign of trouble came up. And it seemed he had done just that from what he heard. Worse still, the Freeshooter found himself agreeing with Vexen. Vexen of all people. Clearly, things were wrong. Not caring for how any of this would end, he stood up on his chair and flung his ponytail behind him. “Ok, someone send me a dusk letter once something interesting has been said,” he sighed, pulling out his arrowguns and aiming to his right and his front. First he fired at Xaldin, hitting the back of it only a couple of inches away from his head. “That’s for calling the most boring meeting in my non-life…” he then proceeded to shoot at Vexen, hitting his left armrest. “And that’s for making a point that had me agreeing with you.” Opening a corridor in the middle of the platform below, the Freeshooter jumped into it, prepared almost in a sitting position, leaving the meeting room and returning to the common room, the exit corridor opening above one of the couches and him landing perfectly on it. He picked up the darts that he had left on the cushion to his right, and proceeded to start shooting them at a hand drawn picture of Saïx’s face he had sticked to the wall. A picture now full of hole marks around the eyes and the X.

No, I'm Suggesting We Act Logically "What excellent points, Xaldin." Vexen commented wryly, giving Zexion a long suspicion-filled glance. But the news he gave was almost good enough to distract the Academic from his full-time job of constantly and belligerently making the Schemer's life more difficult. They were finally rid of the Champion? It was about time.
"Well if what you say is true Zexion, then it's certainly good news for us. One less threat for us to have to worry about keeping our eyes on." It was clear from his voice that that Vexen did not entirely believe that this WAS true. Hopefully, however, it was.
As he was expecting, he was sided with by Aixfeur on the matter of the balance issue. Of course everyone should have been siding with him. He was clearly right, like always. But the impudent girl on the other hand still seemed to be of the impression that they had such a serious emergency on their hands. How illogical.
"Having the light and the darkness tear each other to pieces is not something that worries me, Number Thirteen." His tone was very condescending, as if he were talking to a small child. "The battle between them is one that will continue to be fought, but one can never hope to totally destroy the other. It's literally an impossibility."
Vexen paused, and was about to continue when he was interrupted by Xigbar. Flinching only slightly at being shot at by, he glared at the Freeshooter as he abandoned the meeting. He was pleased that he had admitted to agreeing with the Academic's point. If someone with as little intelligence as him could understand it, then you had to know it was simple.
"Anyway." he said with a frown, trying to bring everyone else's focus back to himself. "Granted, that doesn't mean we definitely ought to avoid the conflict entirely. No, if working to tip the scale in either direction would serve to our advantage then by all means we should do so. The point is simply that the we do not necessarily required to achieve any perfect balance, and the universe is not about to collapse without it."

Vexen, I'm firing you from that full-time job, kthxbai. --
Unfortunately, Xaldin caught him a bit. Yes, he supposed he should have held a meeting after he found out that bit of information. Though, an ulterior motive was out of the question. After the Superior was taken care of, the only thing he cared about was dealing with the Champion, like he was supposed to, and the balance. There was also the fact that Xaldin hadn't been here when the Organization initially fell; Zexion had been pushing for a council idea then as well before Lexaeus was labeled as leader. This group just didn't function well with leaders.
That argument was moot though. And Vexen was giving him that look. He glared directly back, not saying a word. The Academic may have made a somewhat decent point, but his constant arrogance was beginning to annoy the Schemer. His last points were somewhat valid, and now Zexion was finding himself almost agreeing. This was a bit more normal than Xigbar agreeing with him, who had left the meeting after shooting Xaldin and Vexen's chairs. This wasn't going to be a productive meeting. At all.
"You make a somewhat valid claim Vexen," Zexion put in, "The worlds won't collapse at this point in time. And, once the Door to Darkness is unsealed, the balance will start to fix itself. However, if it becomes fully opened, then we will start to see worlds disappear again more frequently, which we cannot have happen." He went back into his thoughtful position. If it was true that the Door to Darkness was going to be unsealed, they needed to find out who was going to be doing it. And, unfortunately, he was best equipped to find said person, or persons even.
He was just never going to get out of this tracking business was he? "I will look into this and report on any findings as soon as I can." He looked to Xaldin in particular when saying this, seeing as he had put himself up as the makeshift leader of the Organization, before disappearing through a Corridor himself. If an Organization still existed when he returned, at least. If not, then he'd be on his own. Not that he didn't consider himself that at the moment anyhow.
And then there was a "Dusk letter" he may just have to pass onto Xigbar one point. Maybe.

It looks as if I need to find something else to do. -------- Alanix had taken about enough of this. Vexen alone had dried up most of her patience, and none of the others were doing much of anything else. She had a better chance of finding her heart on her own. And she wouldn't be completely on her own. She did have Lethe and Kyza, after all.
She could think of several retorts to throw at the Academic, but she chose to ignore him completely. She also chose to ignore the rest of them completely. Why bother announcing an exit when she was probably never coming back to this room?
A Corridor surrounded her, and she left The World That Never Was behind.

Yawn. -------- How boring could this meeting get? Boring enough that Axel knew it was time to leave. And by leave, probably leave the Organization entirely. What good was sticking around here going to do? It hadn't gotten him his heart back yet.
With a glance at his former friend, he said, "Man, you guys are uninteresting as hell. Don't expect me to answer another call for a meeting any time soon."
He left without any further comment.

Well. Xaldin was more amused than annoyed or shocked by the Freeshooter firing a bullet at him. Someone was paying attention when I almost shoved a spear through Axel's head. How cute. It was nice to see how incredibly decayed the Organization had become. That made his plan much easier to execute. You're probably going to wish you'd actually shot me in a short time, Xigbar. He gave one last glance around the room. Saïx had something on his mind...that would be worth looking into soon. Xaldin disappeared through a Corridor. Your subtlety is astounding, Axel. Saïx had been here long enough. More and more, this Organization was resembling some sort of circus. He left.
