The One Winged Angel appeared above Hollow Bastion. The fools were beginning to call it Radiant Garden again. It was actually quite amusing, watching the populace scream in terror and run for their lives. He wasn't here to chase the idiots around, though. This time, he had a purpose. This time, he was here for his nemesis.
Cloud. Ever his polar opposite, the only one to give him the slightest challenge. The Shadows feared him and stayed away, and rightly so, for Sephiroth was more powerful than them, greatly so. He glanced to the sides, and noticed on leaning against a wall of a building in the square. Flying directly toward this figure, he noticed with a slight shock and great disappointment that it was not Cloud. "Where is Cloud?" He demanded of the person standing there so calmly.
"Not here." Well, now that wasn’t nice. The answer was quite obvious. The person was mocking him. He was about pull out his sword and shove so far up his... Keeping his calm, Sephiroth asked again, paired with a second question.
"Where is he, then? And who might you be?" Sephiroth was slightly incensed with the person, whomever it was. Likely a friend of Cloud's...and he always delighted in tormenting Cloud by taking his friends to near death...the majority of them refused to scream for the longest time, until they received a message from above, a form of epiphany, which gave them cause to beg for mercy. But, alas, that was for another time.
"He's elsewhere," the figure said, "and I'm Leon." This Leon was wielding a blade that was crossed with a gun. Well, thought the progenitor of shadow, perhaps he will give Cloud a message for me. That is, if he survives. Deciding on that, Sephiroth drew his blade, Masamune. This would be a decidedly fun battle.
He flew into the sky, casting Shadow Flares below. Leon leapt off of buildings, deflecting the blasts as they reached him. He leaped into the air, his blade shining in the light, as Sephiroth turned to face him. "Tell Cloud," he said, drawing his wing around him, "That I shall wait for him. He will know where to find me."
Leon soared through the air, flying at his foe, ready to slash upon arrival, when Sephiroth disappeared in a flurry of black feathers, leaving Leon flying through the air. "Oh, sh**," Leon swore as he dropped like a rock towards the ground.
All the while, Sephiroth watched with a grin from his perch atop the Castle of Darkness. He was quite bemused at the efforts of the side of the Light, trying to actually believe they could save their little town from the shadow. "Your deaths are inevitable," he murmured softly to himself, watching the little ants scurry beneath him. And they were beneath him, the fools that they all were.
He waited for his arch-nemesis patiently. He knew Cloud would not hesitate to run to fight him, as he thought that beating him would relinquish the death grip that the Darkness had on him. That was a feat that he would not accomplish with mere strength. And he believes that he does not wish to fight, Sephiroth thought bemused. He felt the approach of Cloud before he noticed the blond hero. "And so, the hero comes to slay the villain and live happily in peace for all eternity. But no matter how hard you try," Sephiroth slowly hovered down to hang above the spiky haired hero, "you shall never find a way to berid yourself of the darkness in your soul. And so, I shall come back evermore, and we shall fight for an eternity." He raised his blade into the air, the long blade seeming to be made of light for an instant, and then it was wreathed in shadow.
"I have a present for you, Cloud..."
