Audition: Radiant Garden was looking better and better as time went on. The restoration was proceeding well and in some places, you couldn't even tell a large battle had been fought there. However, there were still areas that needed a lot of work. And in one of these areas something was stirring. All of a sudden bubbles of water began to appear, only to pop and disappear as fast as they had appeared. It started out quite slow, but it gradually and gradually became quicker. Soon, a person began to appear, a person thought to be gone.
Once the person had fully appeared, the bubbles began to cease and disappear for good. He gave out a great big yawn and started rubbing his eyes. "Man.....that was some nap," he muttered to himself. "It was almost like.....almost like...." It was then he remembered what had happened.
He had told them that they were sending the wrong guy for the job. He had told them that maybe a thousand times. However, orders were orders and well, he didn't have the luxury of being able to pass these ones on to someone else, as everyone else had their own orders. And he wouldn't dare disobey Xemnas....who knows what he would do if he refused and the thought just made him shudder. So, he traveled to where the keyblade master would be headed. However, as soon as he appeared he was caught off guard. The keyblade master and his companions were already there and this startled him.
He knew he had shown how startled he was to them, but he quickly regained his composure and gave them a smile. "Hey, you guys are looking lively," he told them. He was welcomed with a "Scram!" by the short one and the keyblade master had questioned him about their previous meeting. The keyblade master even questioned how he had even was a part of Organization XII. The comment caught him off guard and he was startled by how rude the keyblade master was. The keyblade master further showed his rudeness when he said "I bet you can't even fight,"
He didn't like that statement at all and wagged his finger at the keyblade master while he said "You shouldn't judge anyone by appearance." He didn't like fighting sure, but that didn't mean he couldn't fight. It was just he preferred not to, whenever possible. However, this statement backfired on him, since the keyblade master and his companions got ready to fight. This also startled him, as he wasn't ready at all to fight. He turned away from them and complained to himself, "I told them they were sending the wrong guy...." He didn't get why he got stuck with these jobs, why couldn't he go out and do a nice and safe recon mission like he used to be able to do?
He was still complaining to himself, until he heard them talking about how he had no heart. This brought his attention back to the keyblade master and turned back to him saying, "Oh, we do too have hearts! Don't be mad...." Unfortunately for him, they weren't buying it. He turned back and knew it was time to get serious. He couldn't talk his way out of this one and it looked like he was going to have to fight them. He turned towards them with a much more serious demeanor and pointed at the keyblade master. "Silence, traitor," he told him coldly. He then summoned his sitar, Arpeggio, and began to fight him.
Unluckily for him, the battle didn't go his way and he had lost. Even worse he found himself fading into nothing.....
That's right... Demyx had lost that battle. He started touching his face and body, and after that pinched himself to see if it were true. "I'm....back?" he asked out loud a bit confused. Though quickly that subsided as he didn't want to question it. He quickly summoned his sitar, to see if he still could. Luckily, it appeared like it always did. He didn't know what he'd do if he didn't have his sitar. It felt like he hadn't played it in ages and he had the sudden urge to do so. He then began strumming it and jets of water began appearing around him. "Dance, water, dance!" he yelled out as he continued to play. He was back and it looked like everything was the same.
Though he stopped playing for a moment and the jets of water quickly subsided as he stopped. He was back sure, but what now? He didn't really want to head back to The World That Never Was, since he didn't want to have to go back to Xemnas after failing so badly. However.....it then occurred to him that if the Organization was still around that they didn't know he had survived.....and that meant as long as they thought he was gone he could just find a nice place, relax and just strum on his sitar! Demyx smiled at the idea since the only work really involved would be to find a place to relax and that was the only kind of work he was always willing to do.
He held out his hand and a dark portal appeared. "Maybe I can find a nice tree to sit under.....or a nice big couch..." he mumbled to himself. Though before he walked through it, he dismissed it. Why go to another world right away when he could try and find a place to relax in the world he was already on? Sure it wasn't his ideal place to relax, but it was less work for him and the less work the better.
He walked around for awhile, till he found a nice very open spot nearby. It actually seemed quite peaceful and he lied down next to the bottom of the cliff he was under. He started strumming his sitar, though it sounded funny for a bit. He adjusted it till it sounded good again and played it. "I could do this all day...." he said to himself feeling very relaxed. However, he soon heard a noise and stopped playing. It made him nervous, as he didn't really know what it was. He got up cautious, his sitar ready just in case. It was then he spotted it. It was a lone shadow heartless. He gave a sigh of relief. He didn't like fighting, but those types of heartless were never too bad. "Had me worried there for a sec-" he started to say before he was interrupted by a loud thud. Demyx watched as a giant hoof smashed the shadow heartless. He looked up and was frightened by what he saw. He jumped back, away from the giant behemoth he was now facing. It was definitely looking like a good idea to get off this world now.
The behemoth roared and that confirmed it for Demyx, he needed to get out of here. "Run away!" he yelled as he made a portal appear and ran through it.
