[1] No flaming, trolling, or spamming will be tolerated. “Flaming, also known as bashing, is hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users” (Wikipedia). “A troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion” (Indiana University). Spam consists of the following: bumping posts, double posting, posting viruses or harmful links, chain messages, et cetera.
[2] If you plan to advertise, please do so in the appropriate section.
[3] Be respectful of one another. If you are having a disagreement with another member, please discuss the issue with them privately. Moderators will intervene if necessary or if asked to be a mediating party.
[4] If you are going to be absent for an extended period of time, keep in mind there will be periodic Activity Checks. Your account will be deleted. If you create an account with the same name as your old account, your old posts will link back to that account. PM a staff member and you will be given your old post count and munny amount.
[5] How the consequences work: We will enforce a four-strike system. For the first offense, you will receive a written warning as well as a 25% warning level. Warning levels will last one month from the day they are given. Second offense, within a month, is a written warning with the warning level up to 50% and a one day ban from the forum. Third offense, within a month, is a written warning, warning level up to 75%, and a temporary ban from the forum, chat box, and IRC channel; the length of the temporary ban will be decided at the discretion of the staff. Fourth offense, within a month, will earn you a 100% warning level and a permanent ban from all of the above.
