So tell me a little bit about yourself.

Physical Aspects: Emi is best described in terms of food. She has skin the color of coffee with a dash of milk, eyes the color of a green olive, and hair the color and approximate texture of black cotton candy. She is tall for her age, about six-foot-nothing. She is all bones and muscle, angles and sharpness. Much to her embarrassment, her lack of body fat has resulted also in a lack in the chest area. Her hair is wild, unkempt and long-down to her waist- and has a fringe that almost completely covers her left eye. She wears a brown leather coat, cropped to the waist and long sleeved, with embroidery of a green butterfly across the back. The inside of the jacket is lined with a satiny green material. Under her coat she wears a purple and green horizontally striped crop top with three-quarter sleeves. Black denim "skinny jeans" and a brown belt. Purple and green sneakers and black fingerless gloves. She wears no make up and the only jewelry she wears is a plain black choker necklace and the three piercings in her right ear. Probably the most distinguishing feature of her face is her eyebrows, which are thick and serious and make her look a little like Camilla Belle. She has a tattoo of a black Monarch butterfly on her left shoulder. Also, she has scars criss-crossing up both of her arms (slightly lighter than the rest of her skin, in various stages of healing) from her wrists to the bends of her elbows.





Persona:

• Façade: On the outside, Emi is angry. She has plenty of reason to be, even despite her psychological problems. As a child she was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder and couldn't control her temper at times. Over the years however, she has begun to build up much needed year self-control. She also considers herself an addict, after two years of substance abuse and self-harm she put herself through as a young teenager. Often times, it is hard to resist the urge to go back to her old habits when the going gets tough. As much as she doesn't want to, she is beginning to see that she must rely on others to help keep her from returning to old habits.
  
  One of the more positive aspects of her is that she is almost brutally honest and undyingly loyal to those she actually calls a friend. Once she has befriended you, she will go out of her way to make sure you are safe and happy, even if it means sacrificing her own safety and happiness. But if you are not her friend, or God forbid, her enemy... watch out because she doesn't give second chances and will hold a grudge forever. Emi is incredibly stubborn and once she gets something into her mind, its incredibly difficult to get her to let go of it. She will go after something with all of her strength and will not give up until she runs out of options. And if she runs out of options she'll just start beating things. She is also very obscene and has a dirty mouth but she tries to censor herself in front of other people now.
  
  
• Inner Mind: When it comes down to it, on the inside Emi is still just a scared little girl. She fears abandonment and she fears the demons that live inside her. Demons of rage that tell her she is worthless, that she isn't wanted and that she is better off dead. Her mind is a constant battle between demons and angels and she works hard to make sure the angels win. Being orphaned affected her very negatively and she desperately longs for someone to belong to. Someone to love and be loved by, romantically or otherwise, and really she has a large capacity for that love even if she can't show it. She doesn't want to be angry and she does want to be able to trust. Sometimes though, the battle wounds just hurt too much. She's not perfect. More often than not she's not able to control herself and loses it. She is still trying to discover herself and her place in the universe. Until she can fully conquer her demons, she walks a thin line between light and darkness.

Emi wields two custom kali sticks, about 2.5 feet long each and made out of a lightweight but sturdy metal. Daggerwing is in her left hand and Duskywing in her right. Each stick is engraved with a butterfly. She stows her sticks in two loops in her belt.

ABILITIES SECTION:

[Wall Run]
Emi can run a wall run along it horizontally This ability doesn't really do anything in and of itself, but it does allow her to do a few things because of it. She can avoid enemies on the ground, launch herself into the air for an aerial attack or reach previously inaccessible areas. She could also run up or down a wall vertically to access ledges or other heights. While wall running, Emi is unable to defend and an enemy could knock her down. She can add flips and other acrobatics as well as jump to other walls to gain height.

[Broken Silverdrop]
This ability gives Emi the ability to form shimmery silver-colored shields around her hands while holding her kali sticks. These shields are the approximate diameter of basketballs and protect her hands from physical and magical attacks.

Speed: The shields instantly appear and get progressively weaker. It takes about 1 post for them to run out.

[Xerces Blue]
Emi will go into a kneeling position and slam her kali sticks into the ground, creating a shock wave around her. This shock wave makes a circle around her, 3 feet in diameter in its last and widest wave. If any enemies are caught in it, they will be knocked off their feet and withstand damage. In its weak level, Xerces Blue causes 2 shock waves with 5 seconds between them.

What’s your story?

Emi grew up thinking maybe she was a princess and her parents would return for her soon. She was born in Radiant Garden and abandoned at an orphanage just hours after her birth. From an early age she was intrigued and even obsessed with the castle. Soon though, it was apparent Emi was not handling her abandonment well. She often lashed out at the other orphans and was constantly in physical confrontations. At a young age, Emi found she had a talent playing percussion instruments. She also enjoyed collecting butterflies in jars as pets and, as a result, also enjoyed learning about butterflies.

After the fall of Radiant Garden when she was seven years old, Emi found herself alone in Twilight Town. She was originally taken into state custody and made to attend school but seven years later at age fourteen, Emi fell into bad company. She became addicted to drugs and alcohol and was dangerously promiscuous. When she wasn't high or drunk, she was incredibly angry and self-destructive. Someone taught her how to deal with her rage by hurting herself and time and again she took a razor to her skin, leaving scars both physical and emotional that she will keep forever. She continued to get into fights and was arrested for assault, vandalism and public drunkenness on a few occasions. She dropped out of high school.

The one thing that brought her peace was music. She was always incredibly talented at both the piano and drum set. She might have even been considered a piano prodigy when she was younger, but she lost her skill. She would play or listen to music when things got to be too much and it helped to calm her for a while, but the demons always came back and sometimes even music wasn't enough to calm her.


She lived this life for two years and then one day...she woke up and decided she had had enough. She sold most the belongings in her apartment, bought her kali sticks and enough gummi blocks to make a small ship and set off to find her way back home- to Radiant Garden. Only thing is, even with the gummi ship, she doesn't remember the way there.

She often found herself sleeping outside on a bench or in abandoned buildings, and she somehow managed to not die while she detoxed and went into withdrawals out on the streets. Sometimes she believes that those times were even worse than her old life in Twilight Town. The pain and sickness from detox is something she will never forget and never wants to experience again. She did odd jobs and even a little street preforming in order to feed herself. She never went back to her old addictions and habits, but she had nowhere else to turn, no one to turn to. So now she travels, looking for home and looking for someone to belong to.

It all comes down to this: make your choice.
