Let’s get the basics down first.
Name: Kadaj Nicknames: N/A Age: Unknown, though figured to be in his mid-to-late teens Gender: Male Race: Human/Heartless Homeworld: Radiant Garden Alliance: Darkness
You’re just a puppet aren’t you? Played By: Fate Age: 19 Gender: Female Contact: See profile page. Audition Link: Click Me Other: - Theme Song: You're Gonna Go Far, Kid by The Offspring.
- Battle Music: J-E-N-O-V-A by Yoko Shimomura.
- Arcana: Devil
- Fear: Dying is pretty much the only thing that Kadaj is actually afraid of, or losing his brothers.
- Voice: Steve Staley.
- Likes: Fighting, destroying things, darkness, motorcycles.
- Dislikes: Losing, flowers, Cloud, waiting.
So tell me a little bit about yourself.
Physical Aspects: One would think that an intimidating person such as Kadaj would look different than he does. He stands only at around 5’6’’, give or take an inch or two, with thin silver hair down to his shoulders, bangs nearly covering the right side of his face. He is rather pale and his cloak of sorts makes this stand out more than it should, also accentuating his rather lithe stature. His hands and feet are always adorned in tight black gloves and knee-high leather boots respectively, his sword on his back for easy reach. Perhaps his most distinguishing feature, however, are his penetrating green eyes that resemble the great swordsman he is a remnant of.
Persona: - Façade:
Relentless and merciless, Kadaj is a cruel man to run into. Fear is not something he ever displays, always seeming to have a sense of control over situations and an almost extreme air of confidence. He has a flair for the dramatics and is quite the public speaker, his outstanding charisma separating him from his brothers. His ambitious nature also makes him the strong leader that he is, willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants; he almost always does. The only people he seems to care about are his brothers, but even then he separates himself from them.
Some also like to call Kadaj insane or not truly all there. He has the ability to change the subject of a conversation quickly without hesitance and sometimes the subject he changes to seems odd and out of place. His pace of conversation is always changing, sometimes speaking slow and menacing and then changing to haste; this is not only because of how dramatic he can be, but it aids his persuasiveness. Moods are also ever changing in Kadaj, though they mostly change between cheerful, cruel and nasty, angry, and then somewhat calm; none of these seem to show up in battle, his mood then typically confident and rather abrasive.
One of his other key traits, going along with his ambition, is his impulsivity. Though Kadaj is a firm decision maker and almost always sticks to whatever decision he makes, he often makes them on the fly. This usually works in favor, though it has been known to put him in some sticky situations once in a while. If he sees something that he wants, he tends to go after it without question and is far too stubborn to be persuaded otherwise.
- Inner Mind:
Despite Kadaj’s outward confidence and his fierceness, he tends to hide a lot of the confusion he feels. He is confused about who he really is, whether he is truly just a remnant of Sephiroth or if he is his own individual. It takes a lot to hurt him, but underneath is where he hides any sense of being hurt. He hates being reminded that he is just a remnant and that he came from Sephiroth and only Sephiroth; not only does it infuriate him because of the power difference between the two swordsmen, but it truly makes him question any individuality he thought he had.
The true essence of his insanity rests here as well, for his moods are even more heavily changing and extreme. Sadness is often expressed in screams and his true childish nature comes forth; being younger than both of his brothers is not always seen except when he lets this side of him show, which is not terribly often unless provoked. He still only cares about his brothers and no one else, knowing trust to be a dangerous thing when used correctly.

Stand up and fight.
Weapon(s): Souba, a katana with parallel reinforced blades, is Kadaj’s weapon of choice and is often seen in a blue sheath on his back when not being used. The weapon itself is about half of the length of Sephiroth’s Masamune, the two blades able to equal the great sword’s length. The sword’s actual intent is to trap other weapons between the two blades, therefore disarming the opponent. Kadaj is not seen using that ability much, but he does have that ability along with his knack for being able to easily deflect even the blows of Fusion Swords.
(Extra!) Fighting Style: Kadaj’s fighting style heavily relies on his incredible speed. Naturally fast, he is able to block and deal blows much quicker than the ordinary man. He takes any opportunity he can see in a fight and knows how to use landscapes against others… some of the time. He can be rather confrontational and is not afraid to get in his opponent’s face when fighting, though he has the patience to wait for the right moments. He is also able to jump about fifteen feet in the air when he needs to.
ABILITIES SECTION:
[Magnum Opus] Kadaj is not one of Sephiroth's remnants for nothing; with this ability, he intends to be above and beyond all with his mastery of the sword. He is able to quite nearly match the strength of his opponents and his speed is about double theirs. His ability to use his weapon and his surroundings is almost unparalleled, his predessor Sephiroth being one of the few exceptions to that. The downfall to this is that if he does get hit, physical blows cause more damage to him than normal. This ability makes a masterpiece out of sword fighting.
Range: N/A Speed: 2x the speed of his opponent Cooldown: N/A Uses: Passive Strength: Strong.
[Shadow Blade] Using the power of Darkness, Kadaj infuses Souba with the very element. The sword becomes black in color and the two blades will smoke black. If his opponent is hit with the darkness-infused sword, they will receive Strong darkness damage with a burn status effect. If his sword hits anything else that is not his opponent, said object will catch on fire. The sword will stay infused for three posts after initiated.
Range: Sword only. Speed: Two to three seconds for darkness to completely infuse sword. This ability does not affect Kadaj's normal speed. Cooldown: Three posts. Uses: Four times per thread. Strength: Strong.
[Ability Three Name] [Ability Three Description]
Range: How far does it go? What are the ranged limitations? How large is any explosion? Etc. Speed: How fast is it? How fast does it make you go? Etc. Cooldown: How many posts before you can use it again? Uses: How many times can it be used? If passive, then put passive here. Strength: Weak, Moderate, or Strong in strength?
Everybody’s got a weakness or two; what are yours?
Elemental Weakness: Light Other Weaknesses: Kadaj is rarely thrown off guard and not too much affects his fighting ability. Though, if he is strongly outnumbered, he won't bother fighting and instead flee.
What’s your story? The irony of Kadaj's birth is that he considers it the bane of his existence. He does not have any 'parents' or such things that normal children have. In fact, he did not have a childhood at all; he came into the world exactly how he stood today. His birth was different, as was his brothers' births into the world. All three of them had one thing in common; they were all remnants of the nightmare known as Sephiroth, the man who came from Cloud's darkness. All of them were born after the great swordsman was defeated by the blond warrior.
Kadaj, alongside his brothers, chose to separate himself from the likes of Sephiroth and went on their own path. He was determined not only to be better than Sephiroth and surpass him, but to be an agent of darkness. He loved the power the darkness gave him and relished in it. He also was very aware of how oppressive the light was. The quest to destroy the light was made quickly and the three brothers are currently on the move, out to make the darkness stronger.
Unfortunately, Cloud doesn't see their cause as noble. The three brothers and he had met on numerous occasions and battled each other, the latter always a nuisance along with the rest of the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee. However, that does not stop Kadaj; he is determined to make the darkness alive in the worlds again, even if he has to do it alone.
It all comes down to this: make your choice.
You are presented with three weapons: a sword, a staff, and a shield. The sword represents the power of the warrior; invincible courage comes with this weapon as well as horrible destruction. The staff represents the power of the mystic; inner strength comes with this weapon as well as wonder and ruin. The shield represents the power of the guardian; kindness to aid friends comes with this weapon as well as a shield that will repel all.
Which one will you choose?
Chosen Weapon: Kadaj chooses the Sword without hesitation.
Guard Break The ability to slash through any defensive abilities of Weak strength, Guard Break symbolizes the destructive power of the Sword at its peak.
Range: Melee Speed: Normal swing speed Cooldown: 3 posts Uses: 2 Strength: Weak
