Let’s get the basics down first.
Name: Zexion Nicknames: Cloaked Schemer, Shadow-Walking Tactician, Zex, Zexy, Shorty. Age: Estimated to be around his late teens to early twenties | Birthdate: December 22nd Gender: Male Race: Nobody Homeworld: Radiant Garden | The World that Never Was Alliance: Shadow
You’re just a puppet aren’t you? Played By: Fate Age: 19. Gender: Female. Contact: See profile page. Audition Link: Click Me! Other: - Theme Songs: Ebla by E.S. Posthumus.
- Battle Music: The 13th Reflection by Yoko Shimomura.
- Arcana: Moon
- Fear: A complete and utter loss of control would be the one main thing to make Zexion feel the remnant of fear.
- Voice: Vincent Corazza.
- Likes: Reading, hot tea, and when his plans succeed.
- Dislikes: Disloyalty, loss of control, and cold tea.
So tell me a little bit about yourself.
Physical Aspects: Standing only at 5'7'', Zexion is one of the shortest Organization members and is the opposite of foreboding. If one looks at his face, with slightly tanned skin and all, it is easy to tell that he is also one of the youngest members, if not the youngest, biologically. His figure is average, maybe a little on the thin side, but one can easily assume he does not have too much muscle on him. His most distinctive feature is his hair, which is bluish-silver hair and colour and messily covers one side of his face; it's cut short in the back, however. His eyes are a cold, aqua blue.
As for clothes, he no longer sports the Organization cloak everywhere he travels to but has decided to make himself appear more average, less noticeable. Most of the time, he can be seen wearing a navy blue V-neck tee-shirt, much akin to the one he wore as Ienzo, along with blue jeans, black sneakers, and a black hoodie. Unfortunately, this has the affect of making him look even younger than he really is. For some worlds, he will adapt to their clothing styles as to not stick out through the use of illusions. If there is a formal occasion, he will wear a black pinstripe suit with a white dress-shirt underneath. He refuses to wear boots anymore. Ever.
Persona: - Façade:
"I am not what I am." (Said by Iago, Othello, William Shakespeare, 1601-1604)
Being a master of illusions allows you to make not only other things around you an illusion, but also yourself. Zexion, after learning from his mistakes in Castle Oblivion, plays a harsher game than he did before. He does not trust many, though he is trusted by most. He uses this to his advantage as he continually veils himself with a mask of honesty and loyalty; because he has been trusted in the past to give veritable answers and incredibly loyal to the Organization, he knows that those that trusted him in the past will continue to do so.
By no means does this make Zexion a nice Nobody. No, he remains to be the cold, secretive Schemer he was before. He seems to know more than he lets on and is well aware of the value of information and knowledge. However, he has chosen to step directly into the field this time around instead of lurking carefully in the shadows. He is slowly getting people to trust him, people from both the side of darkness and light. Chaos is not his intension, for he is a Nobody who strongly favors order. Instead, he knows the Superior's lust for power; he's just preparing ahead of time and gathering forces that he can move at any time.
In short, Zexion is a Chessmaster with what he believes to be the best intentions in mind; though, it is up to interpretation on whether or not those intentions are good or bad.
- Inner Mind:
Zexion sticks to his true Nobody roots, never pretending to feel any emotions he can truly not feel. His ability to calculate with detailed observation and his ability to use logic makes him a rather good strategist and a dangerous foe; he makes note of almost everything he sees and knows that almost any minute detail can be used for or against a person. His attention to detail also makes him an incredible planner and schemer, those plans in which he prides himself in having a high success rate. His rather hardworking nature also adds to this; he's only lazy on rare occasions.
Never being a strong fighter, the Schemer prefers to use his words in any situation and keep his hands clean... in a sense. He has a rather gifted tongue and lies roll off of it with ease. Being persuasive is of no issue to him and it can sometimes lead to a small amount of cruelty. Because of his patience, which not many of the Organization members seem to have, he is able to wait for the right opportunity to enact any plans and say the right words, making him rather opportunistic.
If there is one thing that Zexion has learned throughout his Nobody life, it is that trust can do dangerous things. Axel was one he had let his guard down on for a second and that quickly led to his own demise. He refuses to make the same mistake again, distancing himself from many and only trusting a select few; those that he does trust he is loyal to, but not compared to the loyalty he had for the Organization. He acts in secrecy and tells almost no one what he is truly thinking. He tends to speak politely with a somewhat dignified and patient manner, occasionally adding in jest mainly in forms of sarcasm or wit.

Stand up and fight.
Weapon(s): Book of Retribution Description: Also known by its simpler name, Lexicon, Zexion not only reads and writes in this dictionary-sized book but creates illusions of grandeur. The book is said to carry a hefty amount of information and, with it, he is able to trap people inside a different reality. However, because he was weakened after being revived, those illusions cause mental strain and cannot be done for long periods of time. The weakening has also affected his ability to sense others, making it a physical strain to sense anyone not on the world he is currently occupying.
(Extra!) Fighting Style: Zexion typically prefers to use his attacks at a distance, rarely ever getting close. He more than often will hold back attacks and wait for the opportune moment to spring something on his opponent; this is an attempt to deal the most damage possible while doing the least amount of attacking possible. While not as fast as Larxene, he can move quickly on the battlefield if necessary. As far as his attacks go, he relies on a mixture of his dark and light attacks, saving his more powerful attacks only for when he truly needs them. It might also be worthwhile to note that he will not fight unless provoked, generally avoiding combat when he can.
ABILITIES SECTION:
[Meteor Mirage] Zexion is able to summon non-elemental meteors to fall in a selected area from his Lexicon. Once a meteor makes contact with a solid object, whether that be a person, the ground, et cetera, it will explode. The meteors themselves vary in size, typically three to five feet in diameter, and about twenty to twenty-five of them will fall with the time period of fifteen seconds.
Range: The meteors fall within a 50 foot radius, their explosion having a five foot radius. Speed: 65mph Cooldown: 5 posts Uses: Four times per thread. Strength: Strong
[Catastrophe] Zexion knows that by confusing his enemy, he will gain an advantage. Therefore, he creates four clones that surround his opponent(s) within a twenty foot radius. Together, they create one central sphere of light that, upon attacking said sphere, will release light energy. The real Zexion is the only one that will be able to attack the sphere and release that energy while the others serve to be a distraction. This will damage the opponent wherever they are within a one hundred twenty-five foot area and will last for the post it is activated in and one post following unless activated early.
If one manages to destroy one or more of the clones before the energy is released, the ability will lose some of its power; however, one must destroy two out of the four clones before it does. The clones take four normal hits to take down or the equivalent of one weak attack. One must also be careful as well when destroying a clone; they let off a three-foot radius explosion once you destroy them. If it is at its full capacity, the light can cause temporary blindness; opponent has to be five to ten feet away from the light for it to do so.
Range: 25 foot radius for clones, 125 foot area for energy release, 3 foot radius for clone explosion Speed: N/A Cooldown: 3 posts Uses: 4 times per thread Strength: Strong
[Mimic] This ability allows Zexion to recreate an ability of his opponents that are up to Strong in strength. He cannot mimic passive abilities and the abilities he does mimic will be at the full capacity in which they were released. The only thing he cannot mimic of the ability is the cooldown; the cooldown listed here is for when he can use Mimic again. He can only mimic abilities that have been done in current combat and/or once he has seen them done, not ones yet to be done.
Range: N/A Speed: N/A Cooldown: 5 posts Uses: 5 times per thread Strength: Strong
[Cyclone] Zexion creates a whirlwind that draws in his opponent(s). The whirlwind itself is about seven feet in diameter and it has the ability to draw in enemies that are up to thirty feet away from it. It is able to tear up bits and pieces of the landscape around it, though is limited by what sort of landscape it is activated in. If the opponents become caught inside the whirlwind, they are promptly sucked into the Book of Retribution, becoming trapped within it for about three seconds before they are shot out of it about twenty feet away at the nearest hard object. The whirlwind itself, if one is not sucked into the Lexicon, will last for the post it is activated in and for two posts following.
Range: 30 feet Speed: 60 miles per hour for the whirlwind Cooldown: 5 posts Uses: 3 times per thread Strength: Strong
[Shadow Silhouette] Zexion's nickname 'Shadow-Walking Tactician' did come from somewhere. This ability allows him to temporarily disappear from sight, becoming a shadow in the ground; while in this state, he is impervious to attacks but cannot attack back. During his time in this state, which he can only stay in for about thirty seconds to a minute, he is able to travel at about twenty-five miles per hour toward his opponent. He will then reappear near his opponent and send a beam of Darkness at them; if the beam is dodged once, he is able to redirect it back at the opponent, but only once. The disadvantage to that is that he has to remain completely stationary during the directing of the beam. If the opponent is hit with it, it temporarily blinds him or her for one post.
Range: His person; Thirty foot radius Speed: Twenty-five miles per hour; Thirty-five miles per hour. Cooldown: 6 posts. Uses: 3 times per thread. Strength: Strong
Everybody’s got a weakness or two; what are yours?
Elemental Weakness: Non-Elemental Attacks (Physical Attacks) Other Weaknesses: He is not the most physically strong member and his strength is something easily overtaken. While his mind can usually more than make up for this weakness, it is hard for it to do so when he is put into an incredibly dire situation and is unable to use the Lexicon or come up with a plan. He is also a better long range fighter than close range.
What’s your story? Half my life's in books' written pages, lived and learned from fools and from sages (Dream On by Aerosmith, 1973)
Zexion's history is not known by many except himself, the once ruler of Radiant Garden, and a couple of his former apprentices; he often chooses to distance himself from it, especially as a Nobody. Though, as a scholar and one who has a need to gather information, he has it written down in the pages of the Lexicon for his eyes only. Here is the story that he wrote.
Everything began with Ansem the Wise.
Like all Nobodies, Zexion was once whole. His name was Ienzo, a small, slightly naïve boy who inhabited Radiant Garden during its prime. His childhood was mostly uneventful, his parents somewhat wealthy and always willing to feed his growing curiosity and mind. He was a rather intelligent child from the start, polite and compliant with an endless supply of curiosity for the world around him. This part of his life was what he considered to be the best part; everything was peaceful and life was blissful.
That all changed when he was young. Zexion cannot recall the age he was, though he estimates that he was around the age of eight, when his parents died. The causes were reportedly unknown, though Ienzo swore for the longest time he had seen them killed. It was a traumatic incident that drove him to remain mute afterward, only speaking on rare occasions; he thought he would never forget it. However, no one's memory is perfect. He forgot most of his childhood surrounding that time; his mind was powerful enough to block out the bad memories.
Unfortunately, those mental blocks also made him forget about the friend that he made while he was in Radiant Garden too. There was a girl named Emi that he met one day while getting ice cream; she didn't have parents either and they understood each other. She didn't mind that he didn't talk almost at all and he didn't mind that she talked a lot; they matched each other well. They played together until things started changing in Radiant Garden for the worse. Zexion cannot recall much of anything about her, only able to recall what happened afterward.
Because of the deaths of his parents, he had been adopted by Ansem the Wise and the apprentices. The king was conducting experiments on the heart and managed to rope his foster son into them. Sadly, that was most likely the biggest mistake the king ever made, for Ienzo ended up being the only one that could convince him to build the new laboratory.
"As untouched snow turns red, innocence dies" (Feint by Epica, 2004)
This ultimately led to destruction. Radiant Garden became no more and the apprentices of Ansem the Wise became better known as the founding members of Organization XIII, all of them now Nobodies. Ienzo was no more and the cold, calculating Zexion took his place, his naiveté and childhood innocence behind him. However, he carried his quickness to learn as well as his quickness to suspect others, always observant and a rather aloof figure in the Organization.
He performed his duties well inside the Organization with loyalty, especially as their tactician and plan maker. The closest friend, or the Nobody equivalent at the very least, he made during this time was Lexaeus, the rest only allies. Even then, Number Five was a tool to him as well. That was his main purpose inside of Castle Oblivion as he, Zexion and Vexen attempted to counter Marluxia's rebellion against the Organization.
The illusionist recalls Castle Oblivion with bitter resentment. His plans with Riku worked when they needed to and the boy was within their grasp, able to possibly go against Marluxia's puppet, Sora. Unfortunately, for Zexion, Marluxia was killed by his puppet and Riku became unnecessary. Riku also killed Lexaeus shortly before this, one of the Organization's strongest members. This left only Zexion and Axel remaining.
There are many "what ifs" that go through his mind as he recalls his moment of defeat and then his demise. What if the witch had not interfered? What if Riku truly came to his side? Would Axel still have been able to kill him? It would have been doubtful at that point, though Zexion did not control time. Naminé interfered with his plan to manipulate Riku and it nearly destroyed him. Axel's betrayal led to his demise, the last thing Zexion seeing being a pair of bright green eyes.
That was all in the past though; after being resurrected by unknown means, Zexion intends to not let those same mistakes happen again. He intends to get his heart back and he intends to help keep the balance of the worlds. He saw the foolishness that Radiant Garden once basked in when they were a strong world of light. He will not let it happen again.
It all comes down to this: make your choice.
You are presented with three weapons: a sword, a staff, and a shield. The sword represents the power of the warrior; invincible courage comes with this weapon as well as horrible destruction. The staff represents the power of the mystic; inner strength comes with this weapon as well as wonder and ruin. The shield represents the power of the guardian; kindness to aid friends comes with this weapon as well as a shield that will repel all.
Which one will you choose?
Chosen Weapon: Zexion picks up the Staff and holds it firmly in his hand.
[Magic Bracer] Symbolizing the determination of the Staff, this ability enables the mage using it to ignore up to Strong ability damage in order to continue the use of any of their abilities without hampered aim.
Range: N/A Speed: N/A Cooldown: 3 posts Uses: 3 uses Strength: Strong
