[1] The use of Internet "leet" speak (lol, gr8, et cetera) and emoticons will not be tolerated in posts.
[2] Out-of-character comments should not be included in in-character posts. The chat and/or the other boards are made specifically for this purpose. The only exclusion to this rule is comments made specifically in regard to the thread posted in.
[3a] No God-modding, power-playing, and things of that nature. A warning will be given the first time, and you will be allowed to edit your post. It will be assumed you did not know what you were doing; however, after that point, the rule breaking applies as per normal.
[3b] While making a strong ability is fine, you must be aware that your ability can only have one primary effect--if it has a side effect such as a status effect, that is all right; however, if it wanders into the territory of an entirely different ability, then it may come under question by the staff, and we shall review it to determine whether or not it should be an additional ability.
[3c] No character is allowed to have more than two abilities in effect at once. This also goes for abilities that don't do damage but provide stat multipliers. This does NOT, however, include passive abilities that are continuously active. Mood or perception altering abilities, such as invisibility or the like, cannot be used along with offensive abilities.
[4] Keep things at a PG-13 level on the forum. If you wish to go above that, please make it private through PM. Please, keep the Proboards’ Terms of Service in mind when making characters and threads.
[5] In regards to character death: it is required to ask permission of all parties involved when killing a character off. Once a character is dead, there is no revival process; they are dead and that is that.
[6] If your character is injured, the injuries do not magically disappear. Healing must be undergone, or it will scar. Potions and the like are also good for this purpose.
[7] Due to careful consideration, the staff has decided there will be no post length requirements. However, the post must be of enough quality that your posting partner(s) are able to give adequate reply.
[8] There is a large difference between Open and Closed threads. Open threads either say nothing in the title, or say [Open]. Open threads you may enter at any time, should you wish.
Closed threads are closed, not to be entered without permission. If the thread says [Closed], then it is invite-only. You need permission from either the acting admin(s) or the people in the thread; if you intent harm, then you need permission from the members of the thread as well. The other varieties of closed threads, also equally inaccessible without cause, are as follows: group threads, such as [Organization XIII] or [RGRC]; specific only, such as [Zexion] or [Jericho, Nadia]. Some might put closed in the title as well, or they may not--[Zexion] or [Zexion/Closed]. Regardless, you need permission to enter said threads.
[9] You may RP so long as your character is fully completed and posted in the finished area, however, you may not use any abilities until it is accepted. If you wish to fight without any abilities in effect, however, that is up to you.
