The coliseum is just as big as I remember it...
Those were this man's first thoughts as he had opened to doors and spotted the coliseum. It had been a long time since he had been here, the exact reasons as to why still a little fuzzy in his mind. However, he was here again now and even though he wasn't exactly sure as to how long he had been away since the coliseum was still here that meant that the trainer should still be here as well. The man smirked, and ran to the entrance pushing the doors open.
Sure enough, he spotted Phil inside, his back turned busy with something or another. The man was about to speak but Phil beat him to it. "Great kid, you're here," he said leaving a confused look on the man's face. "Look can you move that block over there? Its in the way," The man looked over at it and was surprised by how big the block was. He guessed it was going to be pretty heavy. Though that wasn't going to stop him from trying! "No problem! Just leave it to me!" he exclaimed and rushed over, starting to push on it.
However, just as he thought, it was too heavy for him to move. He kept pushing though, growing more and more tired as he tried. Phil seemed to hear his grunts and failed attempts as suddenly he started heading over. "This small block should be no problem for ya Her-" it was then Phil realized the man pushing the block wasn't Herc, but another person one who had tried to become his trainer before but lost to Herc. He may have been older now, but he was still recognizable. "Zack! Is that you?" Phil asked surprised. "Its been years since I last saw you! How you been?"
Zack stopped pushing the block for a moment to rest and grinned over at Phil. He was surprised to hear him say it had been years, but that at least gave him an idea of how long he had been gone. He gave Phil a thumbs up to his question and a cheerful smile. "Well you definitely look quite a bit different since I last saw you," Phil told him and Zack thought that Phil said he looked more like a hero now."Does that mean I have that hero look yet?!" he asked excited. Phil looked him over and after a moment said, "Hmm....nope something's still missing," Zack sighed disappointed.
However, maybe Phil would help him now. Phil looked over back at Zack seeing that he now had a determined look on his face. It reminded him of Herc's before Herc had become a hero. "Well, can you train me again? My dream remains the same..." Zack told him and he put his hands on his hips taking a heroic pose. "My dream is to be a hero!" Phil couldn't help but smile. The kid was still a bit naive but he had the same spunk he had seen all those years ago.
"I'll tell ya what you need kid," Phil started telling him. "What you need is to explore. Go out and travel. Find out what it means to be a true hero," He was going to continue but then someone from the town came in, out of breath. They told Zack and Phil about how a giant creature had appeared, most likely a heartless. Phil wanted to call in Herc, but he looked over at Zack and saw that same determined look on his face. "Go get 'em kid. Though I'm calling in Herc if you get too roughed up," he told him. Zack's face lit up and he jumped up with excitement. "I won't let you down, Phil!" he exclaimed and followed after the person that had came in to where the creature had been spotted.
They reached it fairly quickly, seeing that it was Cerberus, obviously Hades causing trouble again. Zack took out his sword, it hadn't seen any use in awhile but it was about to get some use now. He held it out in front of him, looking at his reflection in the blade and took a deep breath. He then grinned, jumped up and charged the beast.
