Love. So. Freaking. Much.
Slash makes an excellent Saix. Now, excuse me while I go frantically write up a response.Preserved flowers are nice. Yes, everything was working well. He would kill Marluxia and Nyxar, and in doing so would carve out a better place for himself. Meanwhile, when reporting to Xemnas he would make sure he presented himself as being loyal. While pretending to be blindly loyal would be very suspicious, he was simply going to make it look as though he really believed that it was the only way to regain his heart, and that rebellion would just be a futile effort. "Indeed, although I think these particular flowers sprout from a weed. I think I'll have to uproot it completely before flattening it." He moved outwards a little, still in Axel's view but slightly outside of the cave. This was partially because he wanted a better view of his surroundings. There remained a slight chance, however, that Axel would betray him to Zexion. A slight one. While Saïx believed that Axel would usually take his side, he could not account for everything the Flame did. Perhaps Axel held some resentment against him. Saïx could not say that he would not do the same, provided he had emotions. He had taken Roxas's side, after all. The plan had fallen through, because a Nobody had willingly given him the fake companionship he needed so that he could pretend he had a heart. That betrayal would probably always hold a place in the back of Saïx's mind. And why had he done that? Saïx believed that it was because Roxas was so willing to feign a liking of Axel, to laugh even when he could not feel enjoyment. Axel found it endearing, Saïx found it annoying. Still, if he could have felt, he wouldn't have used Axel as violently as he did. But wasn't that the point? He had to do what he had to do. He would never have done it if he was human, but he wasn't. A pity. And while concerned with old memories, he did the unthinkable- he feigned emotion. A single shard of fake regret slipped through before he could destroy it. "Axel. What happened before, with Roxas, and what I did...I apologize. I didn't-"He clamped his mouth shut. Stupid! How stupid. How pitiful. Why didn't he just produce some fake tears for the effect? It was all just a show, after all. All of it. Like actors on a stage. By pretending to be sorry, he had for a moment become a twisted mockery of what he used to be. Idiot. You can't feel, so why should you care what he thinks? Why should you care about anything? Even if you have a reason, it doesn't matter. Because you can't care, even if you want to. He reprimanded himself violently. If he had emotion, he would be screaming at himself, but his mental voice never became passionate or loud. There were no emotions to make it so. Look at yourself. You can't feel. Not even the slightest bit. Never pretend you can. Never. He forced himself to bring up all sorts of memories, ones that carried a wide array of emotions. He looked through them, one by one, pulled out the emotion that corresponded with it, then ripped said emotion apart. Over and over and over. You have no heart. You can not feel. Remember that. His face never changed its expression. It was an emotionless mask no matter what. Finally, he had finished. He wouldn't make the mistake again. He was a Nobody, and would act like a Nobody. His mind was once again firmly on his goal, and would not waver. "Or I would be. It doesn't matter." He dismissed it, the emotionless indifference in his voice even more prominent than usual in compensation for his previous mistake. He moved back to the previous topic of conversation. "You can have a flower for kindling if you wish. But I wonder. War is often so polarizing. Between all the choices, I wonder what you would eventually choose. Illusions can be so convincing, after all." He moved a little farther out of the cave. "The sun could do whatever it wishes, I'd imagine. Who can claim the loyalty of the sun? The moon would endure."
I laughed really hard. This is such an awesome post.
mmmPunchingBag
This might have been a clock tower, but it just wasn't the same.
Nevertheless, Axel found himself here, high above the civilization of this world, and decided to take the opportunity for a breather. This particular clock tower had ample space to walk around in while still affording a nice view of the starry sky. He sure had been spending a lot of time underneath night skies lately. Saïx's fault.
To the Flame's surprise, none other than Zexion himself was sitting against a wall, eyes closed. How perfect. In the span of about two seconds, an idea formed in Axel's head that would give him some personal satisfaction and also help cover his tracks.
Approaching the Schemer quietly, he crouched down to a better level, drew a fist back behind his ear, and punched Zexion square in the face. With a practiced scowl, he ranted at the probably reeling Number Six.
"Why the hell have I heard nothing from you in four days, dammit?! You just love to do that to me, don't you? Leave me hanging, promising instructions, and then never giving me any! You're a tease, Zexion! That's what you are! And I won't stand for it any longer!"
For good measure, he stood up and dug a boot into Zexion's ribcage. He knew he should probably back off a little, but there was still a trace of aggression in him left over from the Dark Meridian. In a huff, he plopped down next to the Schemer. One second later, he was now acting as if nothing had just happened.
"So. What's new in the world of Zexion?"

That was the creepiest thing ever. I think we scarred Prythian for life with that.
Here's something else that we came upon the realization of last night. We were on crack last night. Or ice cream. Yeah, it was the ice cream.
And Axel proceeds to tell a story.
After clearing his throat in a very dramatic fashion, the Flame began. "Once upon a time, in an enchanted castle, there lived... a turkey. This turkey loved to boast about his supposed higher intellect and his greater prominence among the rest of the animals in the castle. It was very annoying, to say the least." "One day, the turkey was stupid enough to argue with the resident flamingo. The flamingo, after taking a moment to preen his bright pink feathers, told the annoying turkey to shut up. But the turkey refused to listen and continued to annoy the hell out of everyone." "Since the flamingo didn't want to spoil his well-groomed plumage, he decided to request the services of the castle's resident hunter. This hunter was very skilled in dispatching unwanted nuisances, and he agreed to do this task. And despite the turkey's pitiful protests, the hunter killed him. After that, everyone lived happily ever after. The end." Axel turned his head toward Zexion and grinned. "Well? How was that for entertainment?"
[/blockquote]

Aerith and I figured out the two most powerful forces in the KH universe, Jericho got a new plan, and the height difference between Jericho and Scrooge was noted. _________________________________________
[20:26] <Slash> You can't twist Aerith. No sir. [20:26] <Aerith> No. She has flowers. [20:26] <Aerith> And rainbows. [20:26] <Slash> And friendship. [20:27] <Aerith> Oh, yes. [20:27] <Aerith> Can't forget friendship. [20:27] <Aerith> The most powerful force in all the KH universe. [20:27] <Slash> Oh yeah. [20:28] <Slash> Next to sea salt ice cream. [20:28] <Aerith> Yes. [20:28] <Aerith> That could be more powerful than even friendship. [20:28] <Aerith> And when COMBINED with friendship... you might as well just forget about beating that. [20:28] <Slash> but [20:28] <Slash> what if Jericho harnessed the power of sea salt ice cream for EVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVIL? [20:29] <Aerith> : O [20:29] <Slash> HIS PLAN IS ALL FALLING INTO PLACE. [20:29] <Slash> MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA. [20:29] <Aerith> Scrooge might object to that. And start hitting Jericho with his cane. [20:29] <Slash> Scrooge can't reach higher than his shins. [20:29] <Slash> It's all good. [20:29] <Aerith> xD [20:29] <Aerith> But getting hit in the shin HURTS, man.
