[1] The requirement is not post-based, but you must have completed a thread that has at the very least reached two pages. The staff will be the judge of the worthiness of the thread. This is to ensure that our members know what they are doing RPing, as well as filling out the character application. It lets us know you know what you are doing and puts our collective minds at ease leaving the canon in your hands.
[2] You have to audition for one. Of course. We aren't just handing them out like candy. The template is below the canon list in the Canon section. The canon list will be the first post, the template the second.
[3] There will be some restrictions, such as the fact that if you are inactive, you will not be allowed a canon, as well as the fact that you cannot have two canons too closely related. Sora and Riku, Axel and Saïx, Xehanort's Heartless and Nobody, and other such are too closely related. We cannot allow anyone to have those canons which are closely related like that. So, don't try.
At this point, this is all of the restrictions. The staff reserves the right to deny an audition if they have reason to believe the one auditioning will not be active, or has not been active, either in general or with their characters.
[4] Square Enix characters not included in the normal KH universe are accepted here, so go ahead and audition for them.
[5] Auditions will be accepted by at least two staff members. There may be special cases in which we'll call in a third, but in general, two are required.
[6] We will auto-deny auditions for characters in games that have not been released yet. Don't try to go for a character who no one knows anything about, because things can change, which messes with our precious continuity.
[7] If you are NOT taking advantage of a canon drive, then you must wait a week to audition for a new canon, or re-audition for the same canon. There will be exceptions to this rule, to be used at the staff's discretion.
[8] (December 18, 2010) You may not audition for or make a profile for a character that is not in the Kingdom Hearts or Square-Enix realm. I apologize that this rule was not originally here and for the confusion. |

Most importantly, in all aspects of the rules, we encourage you to have fun and enjoy yourselves. This forum was made with the specific purpose of having fun.
The Administration of Shades of Grey reserves the right to change and enforce the forum rules at any given time. Members will be notified of rule changes upon their change. |
