She said something, whatever. The dark guy coldly stared at him, while he had to squeeze a talk about dark and light into it he felt that he said everything that was needed to say. He had inially welcomed them then acted differently as soon he was seen but Ain was not going to start anything if it could be helped, his emotions did not reach the surface of his body. Standing still as can be, no body language to reveal his intent but his gauntlet slightly shifted. "No reason at all." he stated dully, his right eye quickly glancing to his side at Nyx then back at Everto. "-Taking a break from hunting down darkness. Drifting and Investigating if you will." Ain did not move as his eyes stared sharply at Everto, everything around him blurred out and he ignored everything else. His white and red clothing flapped in the cold wind ever so slightly, as did his dark hair both covering his eyes and pulling off to the sides. Regardless weather effects never really effected him and he stood tall as can be just as a soldier would, half expecting a conflict and to that end was ready for anything to happen. But who was to say he was paying attention to anything else as he slightly snapped out of it enough to here the words, "-humanity. Do you understand?" Was someone talking, really? He glanced about a bit, at Nyx then back at Everto then finally rested on Furiae. She was a strange girl but he payed her no mind, though he did wonder what she was saying to them but not enough to ask. Does someone normally butt into a conversation with strangers, instead of paying her attention he turned back to Everto and ignored Furiae. "-You don't mind, do you?" he stated dryly.

Nyx's questioned had not only been answered once, but twice. She listened to the new comer's words, suddenly a little confused by the woman's words. Though she had listened intently and gathered in the information it seemed all too much for her to handle. Leave both light and darkness behind? She was wondering what this woman was talking about and where she was going with it. Her words kind of made Nyx's mind spin a little. She looked down, hands glasped together in front of her chest as she began to feel a little weak. Her knees shook a little as she stood there on the beach.
Was she selfish?
Stepping back a few steps she reached the edge of the water as a shallow wave moved around her feet. She continued to look down, her eyes closed now as she felt herself fighting something. There was this pain in her head and then it surged to her head, causing her to press her hands to her chest. Her knees buckled and she knelled down into the shallow waves that crashed along the shore. As she felt the coldness of the ocean against her skin there was a sense of relief that washed through her body.

His question had been answered. This warrior of the light, what e'er his name may be. He was taking a break from hunting down the darkness? While Everto was more than certain that he could best this warrior in combat, he was somewhat relieved that he would not have to. After all, it was energy best conserved for other things.
"I see no problem in allowing you to stay if you wish to recuperate."
After all, he need not drag himself into an unnecessary conflict. Furiae's words were lost on him however. He shook his head.
"Perhaps your words ring true, but not upon my ears. I am deaf to speeches of peace and tranquility, blind to the effects of casting aside both the light and darkness, and mute to thoughts of such a thing." He turned toward Furiae, and smiled.
"You speak of transcendence, yet I wonder. Do you believe your own words?" He shrugged.
"I suppose it matters not, but to make such a bold speech, one would surmise that you would have to believe your own words." He began to walk toward Furiae.
"But if you knew what I do about the darkness, then you to would see as I see, hear as I hear, feel as I feel, and speak as I speak. The darkness is an ever consuming void, whose thirst can never be quenched. It pulls you in, and once it has you within its grasp, it refuses to let go. Those who have escaped are few and far between. And for better or for worse, I cannot escape it at this particular moment in time." He continued walking, and was now heading away from the three.
"Not to say I want to."

Complicated matters should be avoided This day had started nicely enough, the cool waves that he had immersed himself with had since faded and now the darkness that he sought was at his front door once more. As he heard everyone's take on the dark it always came back to himself and if he who has trouble feeling anything at all held any darkness within him or maybe it was too deep to realize fully. His feelings, his desires only really came to the surface in battle or confrontation albeit barely. Still it was almost certain that if his feelings ever came to the surface only sadness and anger would be his reward. His eyes glanced at Everto as he left them, his body unmoving. Even though he was a man that dived deep into the darkness it appeared that even he wasn't as bad as he would have thought, at least he wasn't going around attacking people like the heartless would. Was darkness really evil, or maybe it is just that the light pushing the darkness. Turning around he walked through the shallow waters past Furiae, not paying much attention to her. It might have been that she seemed weird or beyond his understanding but he didn't want to be confused by her logic that seemed contradictory in nature. As he walked he stopped flat next to Nyx and leaned to grab her arm. "The water can be so soothing.", His cold emotionless eyes looked down at her dejected form as he lifted her to her feet and held her still just in-case she would fall again. "If your done here, we should get going unless you changed your mind."

Nyx seemed almost frozen for a moment as she knelled in the ocean water as it continued to move back and forth along the shore, rising and falling. Her head was facing downwards but as Ain grabbed her arm she slowly raised her head to look up at him. Her eyes almost glowing for a moment but as a sort of darkness that had hung over her eyes disappeared so did the glowing, but it would have only been a few seconds. A glance to even notice it. A trick of the light perhaps. A sort of half grin had creased across Nyx's face as she had been knelling there in the water, but as Ain helped her up it disappeared. Not even noticeable. But it had been there.
She looked at Ain, almost as if she were frozen. Then, the next moment she looked confused. She looked curiously at Ain and then looked towards Furiae. It was as if she hadn't known what had happened. She moved away Ain, pushing away some. Then felt pain in her heart again, as if it was pulsing. She clutched her chest again. She looked up at Ain, "I..don't feel well..I haven't rested in awhile.." she said to him, lying a little. She didn't know what this feeling was, but she felt like she needed to hide it. "If you don't mind, could.. I rest in your ship?" she asked.

Everto didn't stop and wait for a reply after his last few words in respone to Furiae. He simply chuckled and nodded. His words felt right to him, there was no doubt in his voice, no hesitation that he could sense. Perhaps she was right, perhaps it was he that was. It didn't matter in reality, at least it wouldn't to those who weren't in his position. He was a tool of the darkness, a slave to it. So he vanished into a corridor of darkness, and reappeared a block away from his home.
Caliga took off, scouting for anyone nearby that would seek to harm him, and came back informing him that they were alone. Everto frowned slightly, and shrugged.
"It would appear my dear brother has not bothered to wait for my return. Then again, I suppose he wouldn't get any stronger if he did." He walked up to his house, and turned the doorknob. The door opened, and after taking a quick glance into the modest home he'd once called his own, he shut the door. The feeling he felt on the beach had returned, and he now had something more concrete to associate the feeling with, thanks to Furiae.
"Tranquility." He opened a corridor of darkness, and as he vanished into it to leave the world, he spoke three more words.
"A powerful feeling." And perhaps a feeling that would manage him to finally be free of his so called master.

Invitation to Rest With a cold glance, he stared unemotionally at Nyx as she pulled away from him using a push. Rather then observe her more to try and tell if she was telling the truth he decided to partially believe that the girl was in fact very tired and needed to rest but took note of the fact that she had clutched her chest as well as her odd behavior. His greater strength was his memory. He was a skeptical guy, never one to trust from a person's words alone as actions of people could change in a heart-beat. He had been betrayed too many times in the past by friends, enemies and the like to know that allowing people on his ship was a dangerous practice. Perhaps it was just chance, however he felt deep down that he should help her and others-- the power of light. Ain's muscular body shifted in the sands turning away and started walking slowly like a march towards his white ship. It's sail expertly tied to the mast but he had forgot to anchor it. The water was starting to push against the boot and push it slightly due to the messed up tides, it was time to leave the world. It was however a shame since he liked being close to the water. In a sense he almost looked like he ignored Nyx's words as walked but as soon as reached the boat he turned back to her. "I don't mind, please treat my ship, The Graceful Light, nicely." he stated dully as he extended his hand out to her. "Let's go Nyx."

Nyx didn't particularly like hiding things from others but what she had said to Ain was true in itself, she just didn't really explain on why she wasn't feeling good. One reason of which was because she didn't really know what it was. What might be wrong with her. She didn't want to put her troubles onto Ain. She didn't like being problems for anyone or to have something happen to someone because of her.
She looked over at Ain, his boat behind him, moving with the waves. Taking his hand after she took some steps towards him she joined him on his boat. She nodded her head some then said, "I won't be a problem," she said to him, "I probably won't take up much space... And, I'll be very respectful to you and your ship, Mister Ain,"

Mister Ain!? Gah, I'm not so old to be called Mister! "I appreciate it." he stated quietly as he released her hand swiftly and took a few steps into the center of the deck. "This is my home, since I don't have one in any world." The boat was much bigger up close then could be noticed from a distance. A white planked deck gave the impression that it was very clean and well kept ship, along the railing was rope and fishing gear among other things that sailors would have. The mast was black in contrast to the rest of the boat but the sail was still white, near the front of the boat was stairs going down. Aside from that was a strange symbol that was marked with the words 'Marine Corp'. Ain quietly lead Nyx down to the lower level down the stairs which creaked on the way down, his social skills lacking for the most part. He still wanted to play tour guide until she was used to his home. Once down stairs it was pretty much the same theme as above, white planked floors and strange symbols on the walls. Just down the stairs was a sitting room, chairs, tables and a book case with only a few books. Behind the stairs was boxes that were mostly empty but some had some salted fish and cooking ingredients. He stopped and turned to Nyx in the sitting room, and stared down at her for a second with cold eyes. "The door on the left is the kitchen.." he said pointing to the left, "..the door at the end of the hall is my room and the one next to it on the right is yours to use as you please. The rest of the rooms are empty and the level below this one is also empty."

Nyx kept her hands at her sides as she followed her new companion. She really appreciated his help and offering her to stay with him. She didn't particularily like being alone, sometimes she was alone because she was too shy to really interact with others. But at the moment she felt she needed to be alone but at the same time she didn't want to be alone because she had been alone for awhile. She wasn't good at making decisions by herself, she needed Jason.. Jason. She wondered if he would ever remember her, if they would meet again. She hoped so. And that their encounter would be better than their last one..
Her head been facing downwards as she had followed Ain into his ship and he had begun to show her around. She looked up at him, "You have a very nice boat, er, ship, Mister Ain," she continued to insist on calling him Mister. He hadn't objected to it yet, so she thought it was polite to call him Mister because he was relatively older than she was. She looked around with her eyes as he showed here where everything was. She looked down shyly as she thought of a question to ask him. She didn't really like asking questions because she was mostly shy about asking. But, lately she had gotten over that fear. "Uh, Ain, I might not be the best at it but I can cook, that is if you wouldn't mind me cooking...Uh, it could be like a sort of way to pay you back for letting me stay here," she offered to him, her eyes looking up at him brightly with a hint of shyness. Her hands were now folded in front of, neatly laying against her skirt.

Yes! She can cook! What was usually a quiet marine vessel, it almost shocked him to hear another voice other then his own. He had been traveling alone for a long while with the exception of the winged guy Soren that had traveled with him for only a short while. As the days passed he felt much better being alone, that why he didn't have to talk to others or deal with others and fight with others. Now he had invited a girl onto his ship of his own will, a sign of his dormant kindness he once felt when he was younger. Ain turned to Nyx as he again heard her call him mister, deep down he felt a bit of frustration swell within him but that didn't effect his body in the least. As she spoke to him his eyes opened more wide, what he ate for the last while was only fish and he was a terrible cook making every bite taste horrible. If he had to eat another bite of his cooking he would probably die sooner rather then later. Standing over her he patted her on the head lightly, "That would be great, is there anything else that you need?" he stated dully, but the prospect of good food gave his eyes much more life and even sparkled a bit in the lamp light. "Change of clothes?"

Nyx smiled up at him as he patted her on the head. She was used to being patted on the head by her elders, mostly in her home world. She felt a spark of sadness as she began to remember her home but then as soon as her head lifted down some she looked back up at Ain and shook her head. "I've been living with these clothes ever since my home disappeared.." she stated, "They could use a wash though.." she said, looking down at her clothes. There were dirt stains here and there, but nothing too visible. She wore undergarments underneath and could probably wash them and hang them up to dry. If Ain didn't mind her walking around his boat in her undergarments (that mind you were not that revealing, white shorts and a white top). She could also go for a bath, she began to wonder if his boat had a bath. She could always go for a swim in ocean though.
"Mister Ain, have you eaten supper?" she asked, wondering if he was hungry. She could rest for a little while and then perhaps cook for him. She was always willing to work when the time came for it. And it seemed that if she wanted to get anywhere (which at the moment she didn't really know where, but one thing she knew was that she wanted to find her home-world, or at least people from it).

..Because my cooking is awful!
Ain looked at her for a moment, as he heard about her world that disappeared and wondered what it must have felt like to lose everything. To only have one set of clothing and be traveling in a place far from home, was she sad- maybe even depressed. It had been long since he felt such a thing, such a feeling that he should have felt when he lost his family. His body stood tall like a soldier would, his eyes locked on her small figure and his arms at his side. "The room on the right has a wash bowl, and bathtub. The water is cold though, you can use it if you like." he stated quietly, his voice a tad lighter then normal. Walking over to the kitchen he opened the door, inside was a table with only one chair and a counter top. Next to the counter was a gas stove and a shelve with many ingredients for cooking. "I am pretty hungry, I haven't eaten today.." he stated as he moved to the side and stood there nearly unmoving. "Forgive my manners, this is the first time I had a girl in my home, Nyx."

"Would..you mind if I took a short rest? I am a little hungry myself, get settled in for a bit.." she asked him after he told her that there was a bathtub and things for her to clean up. It seemed Mister Ain's ship had about everything. It had seemed small from where she stood on the shore but further inspection of the man's ship showed it to be bigger than it actually was.
"It is quite alright, Mister Ain," she said with a small laugh. This was a little change from her demeanor on the beach where she had seemed a little distant. "I don't think..that you would really notice me, I'm pretty quiet." She would clean up after she fixed dinner for her and Ain. But, first she would get settled in for a little bit and perhaps take a nap if she felt up to it then cook supper. She looked towards the room that he had said she could stay in, waiting for Ain's confirmation that she could go rest for awhile.

Maybe I should get some sleep too... It was quiet in the ship aside from their voices, he could not tell if it was day or night due to the nature of the world but it must have been night. His eyes glanced her way and he looked at her for what seemed like two minutes before he broke from his stance and walked past her to her rooms door. he opened the door up and reveal a rather vacant room with a small bed on the other side, their was a blue blanket and a white pillow. Again he glanced back at Nyx, and moved to the side so she could enter her room. Ain nodded to her slightly, his six foot figure nearly as tall as the door frame. He was hungry but he wasn't about to force the girl to cook for him, and the reason they came to the ship in the first place was because she was tired. "Please rest up, I don't mind." he stated as he waited for her to reply, his stance back to that of a soldier.
