She softly smiled over at him as he walked past her and opened the door to the room that she was to be staying in. She did feel a little tired, now that she thought about it and saw the relatively comfy looking bed. She looked at Ain as he moved aside so that she could enter, before she entered fully she said, "Thank you, Mister Ain," she said to him. She was thanking him not only for taking her in and being relatively nice to her (though he didn't seem to be a little withdrawn, not showing much emotion. But, perhaps that was just how he was. He did seem to have the demeanor of a soldier or police-man, but she wasn't much of one to really know that kind of stuff. Perhaps she could ask him sometime, for the meantime she seemed to be more tired than she first thought she was).
She walked into the room and looked around. She then remembered she had left some of her things, though they were not that important, back in the inn. She carried mostly everything that was important to her with her, which wasn't much. She had left almost everything back in Radiant Garden in her friend, Leanne's, place. Unconsciously she laid on the bed and seemed to fall asleep. It seemed she had held true to what she had told Ain, though it hadn't been much of the truth when she had told it. She didn't know what had come over her, but she seemed to be really tired, perhaps it was only after seeing a comfy bed that she had become really tired. Curling up on the bed she fell asleep (mind you, Ain was probably still outside the door, watching her for it took only a few minutes for her to collapse onto the bed and fall asleep).

Good-- Night? Dusk? Dawn? The lamps on the walls of the ship provided the only light within the ship, the shadows behind everything growing as the flame flickered and shrinking as it grew strength. It was quiet in the ship now, the same silence that he lived with and for most people it was enough to become depressed. It was not so for him, everyday was simply moving forward. There was no time to waste on loneliness and less on other emotions, instead with his feeling bottled up it was most of the time that he just follow logic- whatever made sense and his emotions that felt so distant within himself was simply a after thought. He didn't even realize that he was acting wrong in any way. Ain glanced in the room and watched as Nyx fell asleep relatively fast. It was a bit cold in the ship but he didn't mind, taking a few steps into the room he grabbed the blanket at the foot of the bed and covered Nyx up so she wouldn't be cold. As small as she was she was pretty tough and stayed awake even when she was ready to drop, he liked that about people. After doing so he glanced at her from the side and started out of the room. "Good night-- Nyx." he stated as he closed the door behind him. With that done he turned to the right and opened his room's door, inside was more well decorated with pictures of birds, a map of the lands he knew in Atlantica, a desk with a compass on it that proved useless, and a large comfy bed that was way too big for a person such as he(one that he would rarely use). It was a lonely ship that looked like at one time a whole crew must have used it to cross the seas, now it was JUST a gummi ship and his home. His eyes unemotional as ever sat on his bed and pulled off his boots, letting them drop to the floor below. Taking off his jacket he tossed it on his desk and was now bare-chested due to the fact that he wore no undershirt instead he had some bandages covering wounds. After a moment he pulled himself into the blankets on his bed and closed his eyes, falling asleep fast he hoped for a nice dream for once.

The girl did not stir as her new companion, Ain, or as she called him Mister Ain, placed a blanket upon her body as to keep her warm in the coldness that the ship offered. She remained curled up where she had been, her hands resting in front of her chest on the bed. She slept soundly for the most part. Nyx hadn't been able to really sleep recently, she had been thinking too much; about what happened to her world, what had happened at Radiant Garden, whether Leanne and Jason were okay. This was all so new and weird to her. She was trying to adjust which was taking some toll upon her mind and heart.
----------------------------------
Nyx woke in a small sweat, she sat straight up as she woke up from a nightmare. Placing her hand to her face, she let out a small sigh. Relaxing a bit she began to breath a bit easier, not as heavy as she had been when she woke up. She glanced around and began to recall what had happened. She was in some man's ship after having met him on the beach in Twilight Town. She then remembered that she had offered to cook for him and hadn't made or had supper had. Standing up she pulled the blanket (of which Ain had placed on her) off and walked out of 'her' room. She wasn't sure where Mister Ain was so she looked around briefly then headed to the kitchen. Looking around to see what the mister had she decided upon what to cook and began to cook it, using what spices she could find.

A dream, is a sweet memory. Nothing more. The water pushed to the shore one sunny day, A tall gruff man with dark hair and beard- relaxed on the beach with a young blond-haired women- the faces blackened out. It was a peacful day with a small town behind them, many birds flew overhead as the warm breeze pushed against them. For a long time they just sat there, and embraced each other softly. The lady apparently aware that someone else was there then looked up and smiled. "Ainus, time to get up." she said in soft happy voice, the dream ending when he opened his eyes. Ain lazed there on his bed for minutes after he woke, a tear had rolled down his left cheek just moments before but his same emotionless face stared dully at the ceiling. Getting up he wiped away the single tear from his face and stood up from his bed. Putting on his boots and jacket, he left his room and smelled something cooking in his kitchen. He just remembered he invited someone to stay with him an though he would have been gone from the world otherwise he had rested. Straightening himself out he walked into the room and walked behind Nyx to see what she was doing. "Did you sleep well?" he droned, not noticing how messy his clothing was and the fact that he had not done up his jacket leaving his muscular chest exposed.

Turning her head some as she looked towards the man, Ain, who had walked up behind her to see what she was cooking. In a large frying pan were two small-medium sized fish fillets. She smiled at Ain as she turned to look at him. "Yes, thank you for asking.." she said to him, though she had had a nightmare she actually felt pretty rejuvenated. She had needed sleep and had got it. She also began to wonder how long she had been asleep and if they had sailed anywhere.
But the first task at hand was getting uh, breakfast ready, or was it still supper? "What do you like on your fish, Mister Ain?" she asked as she turned around a little to face the stove again, checking on the fish.

Time to leave this world, but what is our destination The girl was kind to him despite his bad behavior, she was traveling with him regardless of how anti-social he was and now she was cooking for him. They had only met today and so much had happened, it was no wonder that he felt comfortable around this girl and her smiles. The fish she was cooking smelled good, no matter how she would have cooked it he was sure he would like it and eat it since he was so hungry. More pressing matters were at hand then food however, from the moment he awoke he realized that he lost a lot of time just being with this girl. In his travels he had often gone without sleep and without food in search of the source of all darkness and now as he had learned more then he had hoped it was only a dead-end. Ain shook his head a bit, and walked over to the side so he wouldn't get in the way. He didn't pay much attention to Nyx, mainly because he didn't know how to act around her and as such decided on doing nothing instead of something. Doing up his jacket finally, he got down to business. His eyes staring seriously at her, his expression slightly more full of life. "I don't mind, your cooking smells good. Anything is fine." he stated quietly his voice almost fading out, his stance that of a soldier yet again. "We have not left Twilight Town yet, we are just drifting out further from the coastline. Where and when do you want to go, I will set the navigation gummi when you are ready."

So, he wasn't really picky about his food or what it tasted like. She wasn't that great at cooking, well yet but her mother had taught her a few tricks and other knacks in the kitchen. She had just begun to cook with what she knew about cooking from her mother. Occasionally she had cooked herself something, once or twice it came out pretty good. But, she knew this cooking wouldn't be as good as her mother's. Her mom's was so full of taste and flavors you could just savor it inside of your mouth. Looking down for a moment she felt a little sad that she hadn't had her mother's cooking in awhile. Thankfully she was looking down at the food and hopefully Ain wouldn't notice her small change.
She continued to cook the food and then spoke, "Whenever you are ready to leave Mister Ain, it seemed..when we meet on the beach that you just arrived in Twilight Town. If you had some things to do in town, I don't mind if we don't leave right away.. And, I'm not really sure. I'm kind of knew to this whole world traveling thing," she said to him, now looking over at him. A small smile formed on her face as she did. But, there was still a small bit of sadness because she missed her mother. She hadn't really had the time to think about her mother lately, so she didn't really miss her. It was not occurring to her that she probably wouldn't see her mother or father for a long time. There was hope inside of her because she had seen Jason, knew he was alive. And there might be a chance that she can be reunited with everyone else as well (though she would be happy to just be with Jason and/or her parents or even Leanne).
"I think supper is just about ready," she said, taking a spatula and putting the fish fillets on different plates she had grabbed from the cupboard earlier. "I could only find fish," she stated, almost laughing. It was a wonder that the only food Ain had was fish, this was a boat which sailed on water. Where fish was a readily source.

Halloween Town was probably the best place to search... Looking around he realized that he only had one chair, living alone he never really thought about it. Glancing over at Nyx for a second he could have sworn he saw a sad look on her face, he was bad at that type of thing so he just kept his mouth shut and waited patiently by the wall. He was aware that he must have been boring the hell out of Nyx with his personalty and even though he realized this he just couldn't change the way he acted like it was beyond his control as a person and a man. "Alright, we will head for Halloween town since it is the closest world on my navigation gummi." Ain stated bluntly to Nyx as he turned to the wall, a panel opening up to a computer console. Typing in a few numbers he confirmed the destination and the ship was ready to go to Halloween Town. A town full of dark desires, a world where every day was Halloween. "We are set, it will take about a hour to prepare before we leave Twilight town and about 2 days to arrive." The console on the wall flipped around and it again only looked like a regular wall, perhaps one of the mysteries of Ain's ship was how it acted as a gummi ship in the first place. Turning back to Nyx, the comment about only fish leaving him speechless. His father fished a lot and he was taught how to fish too, it wasn't that he liked fish that much but it was a easy meal considering his skill at fishing. "Sorry about that, I haven't got a chance to restock my kitchen." he stated, with a slight tilt of his head as Nyx apparently found it funny. "You can have the chair, I will stand." he said as he moved to the other side of the table and started eating the fish. "Thank you for the meal." Despite his outward appearance his table manners were excellent, using a fork and knife instead of his hands. He rather enjoy her cooking, it was not the best cooking he ever ate but it was much better then his cooking that was so bad he could die with a single bite. "This is pretty good, Nyx." he stated his eyes sparkling with delight, this was the best food he had in 2 long years. He kind of wished he bothered to buy more food while he was out in the many worlds, no matter his emotionless self he seemed rather happy for once which showed on his face and even his body.

Nyx had no clue what Halloween Town was, but it sounded inviting as well as creepy since Halloween was usually spooky and stuff. In her homeworld she had such a holiday as Halloween and had always dressed up as a witch when she was little. She watched speechless as panel opened in the wall to a computer console. She nodded as Ain explained to her how long it would take.
"It's alright, fish does sound good at the moment," she said to Ain, giving a small smile as she walked over and handed Ain his plate. She smiled as he offered to stand, she didn't mind standing though. However, she accepted his seat and began to eat the fish she had just prepared. "Thank you, Mister Ain, and you are welcome, cooking brings back sweet memories," she said to him. She remembered cooking with her mother as a young child. However sweet the memories were though, they also brought sadness because she missed her mother.
"My mother taught me to cook some.." she explained and then stuck some fish into her mouth, as to not talk about her mother some more. She smiled briefly at Ain and continued to eat.

I think I would be happy right about now... While he ate the fish that was set before him, his eyes glanced downward as he thought about his dull self. The taste allowed for a much more sweeter thoughts then he would normally be able to, since his emotions have dulled and sunk deep into him on that day years in the past he had not been the same person. Regardless, his senses were sharp as razors allowing every little feeling to effect his judgment and logical ability but his emotions were too deep to effect him even now. Each time he felt something, tasted something he felt more alive if only the sensation could last longer then that he might be able to regain what he lost. He did not know why his emotions were suppressed, instead he only knew that it happened after his father had lost his heart and he barely survived being thrown into the sea. A event that he should have died and now he is still alive and breathing-- was it luck or not?
Ain looked up at Nyx as he finished his plate and placed it on the counter top next to the sink. His expression dulled once more as soon as the food left his sight, leaving him to drone yet again. His body stiffened and he walked past her on his way out of the kitchen. He thought for a second about how he could thank Nyx and decided just to owe her a favor. "Nyx, if you need anything just ask. We will be staying together so anything is fine." he stated dully, before turning and lifting the side of his cheek up so it looked like he was smiling(though it wasn't exactly a smile). A bad attempt at a expression maybe but it was the best he could do given his circumstance. As he left the kitchen he walked straight without a thought and made his way to the sitting room. Taking a seat on the couch, time just peeled away. The ship soon took off for it's destination, Halloween Town.
