[1] Adhere to the Out-of-Character Rules. Flaming, trolling, and/or spamming will get you kicked and/or banned depending on the severity.

[2] No flooding will be tolerated. If this is done, you will be promptly kicked from the channel or cbox.

[3] No spamming or advertising; advertise in the correct section of the board please.

[4] No impersonations. This means no stealing someones cbox user name and pretending to be them. This rule is also strictly enforced, mainly due to issues with it in the past. In the IRC channel, you can register your nickname to prevent this. Read this thread to see how.

[5] If you are staff: do not kick or ban unless there is a legitimate reason to do so, as listed above in the Out-of-Character Rules. Abuse of power will equal power taken away from said staff member, temporarily or permanently—so be responsible.

[6] The chatbox is a place for casual off-topic conversation or asking for help on things regarding roleplaying. Controversial conversations, debates and the like should be carried on via private message or an IM service. That being said, drama will happen. The staff will kick or ban people if it is carried too far, but even the staff cannot stop it from occurring. If you are a regular participant in the drama, however, you may find yourself with a temporary ban or worse.

The Administration of Shades of Grey reserves the right to change and enforce the forum rules at any given time. Members will be notified of rule changes upon their change.
