Audition:
Out of Audition: Using a possible plot idea for Jecht here, where he and Maleficent and Ava are "working" together. This audition depicts a scene regarding the three. All three may or may not actually appear in this audition physically. Nah I joke, only Maleficent and Jecht do.
Actual Audition:
A corridor of darkness opened, and a tan, muscular figure stepped out. His bright red eyes contrasted the darkness of his skin, and his dark beard and long, scraggly, black hair. He began rotating his right arm in a circle, his left hand holding onto the right shoulder.
"Honey, I'm home!" the man said, his gruff voice fitting perfectly with his rugged appearance. What little sunlight that managed to get into the area reflected off of the sweat on his skin, causing the scars that lined his torso to stand out more. He quit rotating the one arm, and folded them. He let out a slight grunt, and found a wall to lean on. Moments later an almost dragon-like woman entered the room, darkness eminating from her.
"So you have finally returned Jecht."
"It's not like you expected me to be back anytime soon. If you had you probably would've sent one of yer other goons to do the deed."
"So it is done?"
"Yeah, though it wasn't easy. Nearly lost what's left of my humanity thanks to yer little gift. Next time why don't you warn the Great Jecht before you give him something. That way I can tell ya to take the damn thing back."
"Oh? You didn't like it?"
"Hell no! The thing almost took over, and if it had, you would've been screwed out of your little army. And the castle."
You managed to retrieve the castle as well? Impressive." Maleficent said. Jecht laughed slightly, and quit leaning on the wall.
"Whatever, so when is this shindig going to get interesting? Or have I spent the last three years working my ass off for nothin'?"
"Patience Jecht. Are you really that eager to get back to your son? After all, I have an ally who says you've just returned from visiting him from afar." Maleficent smiled at this comment, and Jecht scowled.
"You tell yer stinking spy to mind his own business!" He walked over to Maleficent, and conjured his blade.
"Now remember our agreement. I scratch your back, you scratch mine." Jecht backed up, giving the witch some space.
"An interesting way to phrase our agreement. Why not state the agreement as it was made. You work for me, and your son will be protected when the world falls to darkness."
"I don't say that because it's not exactly kosher."
"Say what you wish, but be warned. Time is of the essence, and I suggest that if you love your son, you'll stop trying to visit him."
"Is that supposed to be some sort of threat?"
"It could be, or it could simply be a reminder that you aren't the best father." Jecht's grip on the handle of his blade tightened, and he charged at Maleficent, grabbing her by her clothing, and shoving her against the wall.
"Now listen here ya hag. I may not be father of the year, but my boy's a good kid, and no matter what he does, or what sort of man he becomes, as long as he ain't a stinkin' crybaby I'm proud of him." Maleficent disappeared into the darkness, and appeared behind Jecht.
"How sentimental. Keep that in mind while you work for me, and there won't be any problems." Jecht dispersed his weapon, and clenched his fists. He gritted his teeth, and responded with a very gruff.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good. Now for your next assignment I need you to find a certain Keyblade wielder that has been causing our mission some grief as of late. Think you can handle that?"
"I think I can manage."
"Good. This task will take you back to your home. Do you think you can handle going back without stopping by to see your son?"
"If that's what ya want, then I'll do it. So what's the Keyblader's name?"
"Sora." Jecht's scowl depened when he heard the name.
"That kid's a Keyblade master? Interesting." He turned around, and looked Maleficent over.
"I'm not killing the kid. He doesn't deserve it. He's a good boy."
"I never said you had to harm him. I merely want you to keep him occupied while we make our next move."
"Alright then." He turned away from Maleficent and opened a corridor of darkness.
"And will you tell your crazy Heartless friend of yours to quit drooling over my heart? I don't particularly like having my chest oggled by anything other than women. And even if that thing was of the female variety, I still wouldn't want it looking at my chest. I'm no good to you if I'm some mindless monster."
"Very well. Ava shall be told to leave you be."
"Good." Jecht stepped into his corridor of darkness, and vanished. He was on his way home, and this time he'd spend more than ten minutes there. And if he played his cards right, he'd actually get to speak to his son for the first time in five years. As he emerged from the darkness back on his home world, he spoke three more words.
"I'm home, Tidus." It was just too bad that he wasn't around to see his father, or to hear his words.
