So this is the home of the Nobodies. (July 19th, 2010) Furiae looked silently around her. This was a large place, some sort of vast grey room with glass platforms serving as floors. Interesting. What were the other rooms like? She put a hand under her chin in thought and quickly noticed the feel of flesh. So, she was not a golem, but was humanoid after all. She felt a sort of cold, detached relief that was not truly relief. The Nobody of Furiae looked almost the same as the human one, but was still different in a fundamental way. Her white hair fell lifelessly onto her shoulders, framing a face with skin that was as pale and smooth as porcelain. Her movements were slow and quite graceful, and she almost seemed to be floating over the platform instead of walking. She would have been quite attractive, almost beautiful, if not for one thing. Her eyes. Her eyes were the same ice-blue they had been before, but they were completely blank. There was intelligence behind them, yes, but nothing else. No liveliness, no emotion (feigned or otherwise)...they lacked any of the spark that could have made them remotely human. They, combined with her other features, made her disturbing instead of lovely. Instead of appearing human, she seemed instead like a doll that moved, a yawning void wearing the skin of a girl. She turned quietly to the Corridor, waiting patiently for Zexion.

Sleep Is Not Important Right Now Of all of the times to be sleeping, this was most certainly not the time. If Zexion could feel the emotion of annoyance, he would be at this very moment. The Superior was sleeping when he needed to initiate a new member into the Organization. Not only that, but he had extremely important news to deliver. He had his findings in the Keyblade Graveyard and that was something even the Superior wouldn't want to miss knowing out on. He was trying to complete Kingdom Hearts after all, just not for the same purposes as the rest of the Organization. He would have to hold a meeting himself to take care of this and inform everyone.
He walked out into Twilight's View, Furiae already there. She was rather quiet in the Castle, though that was expected when one was getting used to everything. Still, it was much better than listening to complaints from Demyx about having to do work, ramblings and prying from Vexen, or even the dreaded monologues from dear Superior. It was one of the many reasons why Zexion chose to stay away from the castle as much as possible. Luckily for him, and Furiae, she wouldn't have to be subjected to that.
"Thank you for waiting," he said, "You will not be seeing the Superior today. He is currently taking care of important business." A lie of course, but Zexion supposed the business was important to the Superior. "I will be taking care of your initiation where you will be given a new name and a new title, much like this." Just as the Superior typically did, except in the case of Axas, he formed silver floating letters of his name and made them disappear quickly. "Is there anything you wish to say before we proceed?"

I wonder where the others are? Furiae watched as Zexion exited the Corridor. He mentioned the Superior being busy. That was slightly disappointing. She wondered when she'd be allowed to meet him- and the others, for that matter. Not that she minded the company of Zexion. In fact, she would prefer if the others were similar to him. He had helped her as a human and he was helping her immensely as a Nobody. She would never be able to repay him fully, but she would certainly try. She watched the silver letters intently. A new name? She wondered vaguely what it would be. Anything would be fine, as long as she could discard her old one. If she lost that, then she would lose her old identity completely. That was desirable. "I have nothing to add," she said quietly, and waited.

Everything Starts Here Zexion nodded to this. "All right then. We will proceed to the Meeting Room. You will meet the rest of the Organization there." He summoned a Dusk next to him and looked to it, giving it simple orders. "Alert the others that we are initiating a new member into our ranks. Tell them to meet Where Nothing Gathers." The Dusk didn't respond, merely going into its own Corridor of Darkness. Zexion waited a minute before it was gone, allowing it time to at least get to another member, before he made his own Corridor of Darkness to the Meeting Room.
"Right this way," he said, keeping everything short and concise. He allowed her to go first before going through himself. This was a different experience for him to say the least, not used to initiating new members at all. That was Xemnas's job and his only. However, that was going to change soon. Furiae didn't know this of course, and neither did a lot of the Organization, but Xemnas was not going to be the Superior for too much longer. She may never even get the chance to meet him, which he couldn't say was a tragedy. He wasn't following the true Organization goal anyhow.
Though, who would be doing this job after the Superior was gone? He saw only two choices for the top spot really, himself and Saïx. No one else would want that spot or be able to do it, Xigbar already making that clear for himself. Both of them were capable too; even though Zexion didn't trust Saïx that much, he did acknowledge his ability to perform administrative duties and get things done. He would be effective, yes. Zexion wouldn't fight him for that spot, though his trust would still be limited.

So I do get to meet them, after all. If she could have felt excitement, she would have. As it stood, she entered into the corridor and emerged in a white, circular room with thirteen thrones lining the walls. --------- I Just Hope It's Not Another Axas Saïx was sitting quietly in the Grey Room, looking out the window. No one else was here, and the Superior was sleeping, so Saïx had decided to fully appreciate the very little time that he would get to spend in peace. It was a little time, indeed, for right as he considered it a Dusk appeared and told him that there was a new member being initiated. And the Superior ws busy sleeping? That figured. At least this'll be quick. Hopefully she's not going to turn out like Axas. He wondered if he'd end up killing her, too. Axas was dead, and Nyxar was going to die. Were all new members useless? Saïx would attend, if only to appraise the new member. He made a Corridor of Darkness into the room, immediately seeing the new woman. She was a white-haired girl with absolutely no expression, and said nothing upon seeing him. Instead, she slowly moved a step backwards and turned her eyes down in a gesture of respect. Hm. He was already sure she wouldn't be as bad as Axas, which was a relief. The more important question was if she was like Nyxar, working for another member in secret. Her general icy appearance made him think of Vexen, although he couldn't imagine Vexen using the same tactics as Marluxia. Still...

What Do We Have Here? Vexen was inside of his laboratory when a dusk arrived, carrying a message from Zexion. He had just returned from a little errand-- not an official mission, but something related to a "person project" he was currently pursuing. The Academic often took up various research topics, being a scientist after all, but he had a feeling this particular case would prove to especially interesting... Having been about to begin the experiment, he was quite dismayed to find the lesser Nobody interrupting his work. The announcement that it brought, however, was more important than he had been expecting.
A new member was joining the Organization, and their initiation was currently about to take place.
Well although it was unlikely that this meeting would turn out to be nearly as fascinating as the experiment he had planned, Vexen still figured it could possible prove worth his while to attend. Besides, he had already missed the last initiation of that Axas fellow. In fact, he had never even gotten around to meeting the Larcenous Amnesiac; rather lucky on his part, from what he had heard. He supposed he ought to at least meet this neophyte before it met its not so tragic end in a week or two.
A column of darkness engulfed Number Four's chair in the room Where Nothing Gathers, leaving the Academic sitting there as it faded away. Looking down at the platform below the thrones, he spotted the the new member. It was a female, apparently, will short white hair and strikingly blue eyes. She stood quietly next to Zexion, her face totally blank, as those of newly formed Nobodies usually were. Shocked from the sudden lack of a heart, unable to even force the faintest appearance of an emotion.
Crossing his arms, Vexen rose his fist to his chin, forming a pose of someone deep in thought. "Well now, what do we have here?" Zexion stood next to her, not having taken his seat yet. Glancing around the room he noted that he was the only one there, aside from Saïx. Choosing not to address the Diviner, he turned his gaze back down, studying the girl for a moment. He was unsure of what to make of her just yet. "I believe introductions are in order Zexion."

Demyx was, of course, sleeping in his room when the dusk came. He felt a poke to his side and just swatted it away, until he finally opened his eyes. The dusk was staring right at his face and it caused him to jump. "You guys need to like, quit doing that!" he yelled at the dusk. When he calmed down he sighed as he listened to what it had come for. Apparently it was initiation time for a new member.
"A new one already?" he asked aloud. Apparently that one Axas guy they had recruited had been killed awhile ago and it looked like they were ready to replace him already. Well how about that? He didn't really feel like going to see who would be joining up, much rather preferring sleep. However, he knew somehow Zexion or Vexen or whoever would yell at him for it for whatever reason. He sighed. "Ugh...I guess I might as well go..." he said and was soon enveloped in a corridor of darkness.
He soon appeared in his seat where the initiation was being held. He saw Zexion was already there, as well as Saix and Vexen. Of course all the people he disliked him the most where here. Great....where was Luxord or Xiggy when you needed them? And then he saw their new recruit, a girl this time it seemed. Hopefully she wouldn't end up a total witch like Larxene was. He back in his chair, getting comfortable. This would probably take awhile, so might as well catch up on some Z's before the others noticed.

An Unwarranted Distraction Luxord had been carefully reading the cards ever since he had witnessed the event in Enchanted Dominion. Something about it wasn't right, but he couldn't discern what that was, and neither could the cards. Yet, he was a gambler--infinite patience was on his side. That didn't mean, however, that he enjoyed being distracted from his studies. A Dusk had just swam through the air and into his room, breaking his focus. The cards that had been floating in front of him fell to the ground, and Luxord turned sharply at the Dusk. " A new member? Very well. One must always allow some time to cool off." Gathering up his cards, he vanished within a Corridor of Darkness. --- Appearing in meeting room, in looked down at the newest member of their number. She looked just as blank as that traitor did when he joined. Even for beings without emotion, it was folly to not act. They were all players in this game, and a show was required for the audience. " She may live longer, but it will be wasted in the end." He foretold. Unless this one could feign emotion, then she would ultimately be lost in her own emptiness. Looking around, Demyx clearly didn't want to be there, Vexen was prying for some data, Zexion was taking charge of everything, and Saix was inscrutable as ever. Why was he here when he could be reading the cards? What they told was infinitely more important than some initiation.

Fitting the Part At least a few of the members were here, which was enough for Zexion to start what he was going to do. Only Vexen spoke as he entered the room, the other three remaining silent. Demyx looked like he was sleeping, which of course would have to be fixed. He looked to Saïx and made a subtle gesture, pointing his eyes toward Demyx. He could trust that the Diviner would make sure the Nocturne would at least stay awake for the meeting before he went off and continued to shrug off his work. No matter who was in charge next, that had to be fixed.
"Thank you for coming," he said to the rest of the members. He wasn't going to make this as grandiose as Xemnas often did, attempting to keep it as simple as possible. "I would like to introduce the Organization to its newest member, Furiae." As he said that, he created the silver letters of her name above her. Within another minute, he switched the letters around and added the letter 'x', as per custom. "Now, she is known as Number Twelve, Aixfeur, The Relentless Soldier."
There was a good reason he had picked both that number and that particular title. The other free positions, three and eight, were much too high for a new member; besides, eight might be filled again depending on what occurred next in the Organization. Her title was very fitting. When he saw her fight, he had seen just how relentless she was even when fighting mere Heartless and Nobodies. However, she could also play the part of the soldier well, at least better than some of the others here.
"Aixfeur, welcome to the Organization," he said, making the illusion completely disappear. "Once settled, we will assign you missions that need to be completed. You also have pre-arranged sleeping quarters. If there is anything else that you need, any questions you may have, feel free to ask." He looked to the other members now. "Is there anything else I'm missing?"

The Slumbering Nocturne Saïx noticed Zexion's signal and looked towards Demyx, who was...dozing off. That's not surprising. Saïx made a mental note to force him to go to Atlantica. Or Monstro. It didn't matter if there wasn't really anything to be done. Saïx was sure he could make something up. First things first. Keeping the Nocturne up. Saïx would have preferred to have a rock or something to throw at his head, but he didn't have a thing in his pockets and whacking Demyx with his claymore wasn't exactly regular procedure in initiations (not that he wouldn't resort to that eventually). "Ahem." Saïx cleared his throat just loud enough for Demyx to hear, then gave him a look that promised lots of new missions in Monstro if he didn't keep awake. It was an incredibly quick initiation, truth be told. Zexion was not an eighth as long-winded as the Superior, and got the essentials out of the way within the span of about two minutes. He then asked if he had missed anything, to which Saïx's only reply was a small gesture signifying that he didn't think so. Perhaps this would be the quickest initiation the Organization had ever witnessed. ______________________________________________ Aixfeur. She thought about that name for a while. It would do perfectly well, and she accepted her new name and title readily. She took a quick look around the room. There were four people looking down at her- rather, three looking down at her and one who seemed to not be paying attention. Of the three actually aware of her, one was a man with long blue hair and an X-shaped scar on his face, another man with short blond hair and a goatee, and a third who had spoken, a man with very long hair. The person who wasn't paying attention commanded most of her attention, though. She wanted to jump up there and prove herself worth noticing, but that would be incredibly rash. His reason for ignoring her was probably because he was so powerful that she didn't even seem worth bothering with. Yeah, that must have been it. Well, she'd have to be stronger if she was going to be noticed. But right now, she just kept quiet and tried to be as respectful as possible.

Demyx thought he would've had a bit longer to catch some Z's but apparently not. He soon heard someone say "ahem" and it sounded aimed towards him. He yawned and soon found that it was X-Face giving him a look that said get up now or face a horrible mission. So, he got the hell up. Man, it was such a bummer to have him back around....Zexion and Vexen were enough.
He looked around and saw that Luxord had arrived after him and that was about it apparently. Zexion had started the initiation already and well, it was just about over when he finally started paying attention. Aixfeur huh? Man that was going to be hard to remember. Other than that though, there really wasn't anything else he needed to pay attention to. It had been over so quickly, it was a bit odd. Why did he even bother to show up if it was going to end so quickly?
Whatever the case, he hoped they hurried this along and told them to go back doing what they had been previously doing. He for sure wanted to go back to sleeping. Or maybe play his sitar, either would be fine with him.

Test The meeting was soon joined by two more members, Number Nine followed practically immediately by Number Ten. Neither said anything upon their arrival. The Nocturne actually appeared to be falling asleep already, rather ridiculous considering the fact that he hadn't even been sitting there for a minute. Vexen was about to put a stop to this, when he was beaten to it by Saïx, who was making sure the lazy oaf stayed awake. Well so long as someone kept an eye on him... Probably better that the one sitting right next to him did so anyway.
Apparently satisfied with the current turnout, Zexion began with the initiation. Much to the Academic's surprise, and most likely to everyone else's as well, things were kept unusually short. Quickly giving the Nobody a new name and title-- Aixfeur: the Relentless Soldier (clearly that task should be left to the Superior from now on)-- and filling her in on all the immediate need-to know information, the Schemer seemed ready to finish things up. Asking almost rhetorically if there was anything he had forgotten, obviously not expecting anyone to have anything.
However Vexen was not quite so ready to call it a day and return to his research. It was standard protocol to test every possible member before admitting them into the Organization. They did not need dead weight taking up space and getting in the way; they had enough of that as it was. Chances were Zexion had already taken care of this, but it was hard to be certain with him... Might as well be sure. Besides, part of him wanted to drag the meeting along a bit longer just to spite those so eager to leave.
"Although I am sure that everyone here has the utmost of faith in your judgment, Zexion, I think a demonstration of is in order." He turned his gaze from Zexion to the new Number Twelve. "We certainly wouldn't want to have anyone doubting the abilities of our newest member, now would we?" Perhaps the Soldier should use Demyx as the target. Then he might actually start paying attention.

Truly Capable Demyx was woken up and Saïx did not see anything missing. It was an incredibly short initiation, shorter than any the Superior had done before. This was also Zexion's first time doing this, hence his question. He was ready to call this officially to an end then and let the Organization resume its usual activities. Though, naturally, Vexen had something to add. Was that questioning of his judgment he sensed? Of course it was. The Academic's tone suggested purely that, which caused the Schemer to give him a short glare. Now wasn't the time for it, nor was it ever.
Though, he supposed he could act upon that request. "I think we can do a demonstration, yes. You should find this particularly interesting; her element is very similar to yours." He backed away onto the edges of the circle a bit, then summoned ten Dusks. Some fighters would not have liked dealing with that many of the pesky Nobodies all at once, but for Aixfeur, this would be child's play. No matter how many Heartless or Nobodies he and Sephiroth had given her that day, she dominated the battle and didn't allow a single scratch on her.
"You may show the Organization what you are truly capable of," he told Aixfeur. Vexen would not be able to doubt his judgment in recruiting a new member for a long time after this. Not only that, they would add a little more brawn to this Organization that they could use. It would be nice to see the Organization with as much formidableness and power as it once claimed to have. Sora, nor Riku, would be able to storm into this castle and defeat the entire Organization single-handedly. It would take much more than that to defeat them.

Far too easy. When the long-haired man spoke up about a demonstration, Aixfeur became very interested. This was what she had been waiting for. Zexion consented to the demand, and summoned ten Nobodies for her to fight. These are weak things. Make it as quick as possible. Prove yourself. As gently falling snow could quickly become a raging blizzard, so too did the Soldier's manner change entirely. Her curiosity became blunted, replaced by a strong focus on her enemies, and her politeness morphed into stark brutality. Summoning her scythe, she slammed the hilt once against the ground in a sort of challenge and went into a battle stance, attacking the nearest Dusk. They were fast. She was faster. The first one died quickly, being cut neatly through the head by Iceheart. Another two attacked her quickly afterwards, trying to get her from below. She avoided both strikes and knocked one into the other with a well-placed kick, then destroyed them both with a series of powerful horizontal slashes. Seven more to go. She'd have to speed this up. The Dusks weren't mindless- the remaining seven had begun to swarm her in an attempt to divide her concentration and score some hits. It was a good effort, but a failed one. Immediately, she summoned the ice shards to her, then shot them out and jumped back before the impact. Four Dusks were impaled and killed, with the other three caught by some of the smaller shards that had exploded outward. In their weakened state, Aixfeur had no trouble dispatching them. She stopped, the enemies gone. It had been somewhat tiring to kill them all so quickly, but the Soldier made sure to regulate her breathing and disguise any signs of fatigue. She would not show weakness in front of her superiors. Wordlessly, she dismissed her scythe and took her place in the middle of the room. Hopefully she had proved adequate. [Aixfeur used Shards of Destruction. Cooldown time: 7 posts Uses left:1]______________________ Saïx looked down at the new Number Twelve. She had finished quickly, that was certain. The loud noise probably had helped Demyx keep from his incredibly important sleep. She shared an element with Vexen, although from what he could tell they had little else in common. The Soldier's strength did not win her any favor with him, though. If she was working for another, then she would prove to be more of a threat than Axas had been. Even if she wasn't, it was possible that she would defend Xemnas should she be around during the coup. If that was the case, she'd be eliminated. Still, at least she knew when to keep quiet. That was something the previous Number Twelves had not understood in the least.

Color Me Impressed Lamenting the loss of time, Luxord was hardly paying any attention to the initiation as it proceeded. That is, until their newest Twelfth began to massacre a group of Dusks with some fair skill. Raising an eyebrow, he couldn't help but be somewhat impressed with the icy grace of the Soldier. Raising a hand to his lips, he stroked his chin thoughtfully and reevaluated her worth. " Well, she may not fit the bill of a Queen, but in Chess she would certainly be a Knight." Studying her closer, he could see that she was far too eager to prove herself. One must know when an ante will break them, and clearly she didn't. That little stunt she pulled may have been something to watch, but on the field she wouldn't have been so lucky. After all, it would take a little while for her to adjust to her new existence...or non-existence more rather.
