Maleficent calmly walked the halls of her castle. Not much had been done yet to get rid of that accursed light on this world. However, it could not be helped they did not yet have enough strength to do so. If only that dark figure would join up with them....they would surely get rid of the light and fill the worlds with darkness. Which is why she called her followers here today. She wished to find out what information had been gathered.

She soon arrived at the spot where her minions would gather. One by one they would come and soon they would all report in what they had found out. And after that, she could decide what their next course of action would be

For the Better

[First part of this post takes place July 20, 2010]
Something was up.

Kadaj didn't know what it was, but the Restoration Committee seemed different when he walked into town this morning. He wasn't looking for a fight, though he'd more than welcome it if the opportunity arose. Once he actually got near the Borough, he started to look for information. Why were the members of the committee all look depressed, as if something had come in and tore apart what was dear to them? Even that Sora kid was here with that girl he had been with before, all of them wearing this shocked and torn looks on their faces. What happened?

He stuck around a bit, making sure to stay unseen, and eavesdropped to see if he could pick up anything. He heard the name Mickey mentioned, which made his eyes narrow. What did that mouse have to do with anything? That mouse that had defeated him once and brought him to a stalemate the second time. Was he here too? No, no he wasn't. Yet all of the heroes and whatever were talking about him... but why? It didn't take too long, but he found his answer, one that astonished him.

Mickey was dead.

Normally, one would feel some sort of sadness with this. Melancholy, maybe even angry at whatever had caused such a tragedy; while listening, Kadaj picked up that it was the Champion, but that didn't register quite yet. Mickey was dead. His enemy was gone, the one that so foolishly stood in his way in the name of light. He couldn't help but grin wildly at this, laughing even as he walked out into the street. Mickey was dead! He most likely looked insane while doing this, but that was already common knowledge wasn't it?

Of course, he hadn't taken Mickey down himself. That made Kadaj stop laughing and stop smiling real quick. The Champion had done it, which made him extremely strong. Even though the silver-haired remnant wanted to be better than him, something like that earned respect. Maleficent would need to know of course, and then they could plan from there.

It was now when he entered the meeting room first, as usual. He always liked to be right on time or early; that was the kind of remnant he was. Maleficent was already there, but he was first out of her little minions to arrive. He didn't sit down, instead coming in with the hint of a smirk on his face.

"I've got news to tell you," he told her nonchalantly, "And it's very important. Maybe I should wait before I say it, wait for everyone else to show up? You're going to love this Maleficent; I know you will." It was far too natural for him to just tease like this, but he liked doing this. Though, he supposed he could spill what he had to say now since Yazoo was nowhere to be found and Loz would be late as usual. And Ava had been out and about lately... hmm...

"I overheard the committee talking yesterday. Turns out that King Mickey was killed by the Champion." A little glee slipped into his tone. "Interesting enough for you?"

Suddenly, a window opened up in the chamber and out came Ava. Looking around, Ava noticed Kadaj and Maleficent were already gathered. Good, I don't have to go looking for them. "Auntie Mally, Kadaj. I just talked with the Champion a couple of days ago," the Chaosling said, "and he said we should meet him at the Keyblade Graveyard on the 25th."

Ava nodded and looked around again. Kadaj and Auntie seemed to already be talking about something. The death of Mickey? Huh, well, it made sense for the keyblade wielders to be falling. "That makes sense." Looks like they knew things he didn't. Well, then, it was a good thing he was here.

And now, he was to wait for further conversation.

[Loz]

Hey, Why Wasn't I Invited...

Loz was so bored... For the past couple weeks there had been absolutely nothing to do. Sure, he could probably go into town and cause some trouble. But he never seemed to be able to find Yazoo or Kadaj, and he didn't really feel like going by himself. In fact, he hadn't seen Yazoo around at all recently. Where the heck was he?

Wandering by, the remnant heard voices coming from the Castle Chapel. Curious, he made his way into the large room, finding Kadaj, Ava, and Maleficent in this middle of some sort of discussion. It looked like they were having some sort of meeting. So why hadn't Loz been invited? He scowled, offended by his lack of inclusion in their plotting. He did his best to replace this unhappy look with what was supposed to be the cool, aloof expression that Yazoo usually wears, before starting to make his way over to the others.

Alerting them of his presence in the process, he called out to them. "What're we talking about?"

[Fate]

Killing people? I'm up for that.

Oh, so the Champion wanted them to go to the Keyblade Graveyard and meet with him. That was what Ava had to tell them. That probably meant a fight was going down there. He had personally never even heard of this place, but they'd find it easily enough. Ava probably knew where it was if he had met with the Champion himself. Did it really matter that the Champion met with him but not the others? Not really. They'd all meet him in time at this place.

Loz came in and wanted to know what was going on. Kadaj grinned. "The Champion wants us to meet him at the Keyblade Graveyard and fight with him a couple days from now. He's been killing Keyblade Masters, including King Mickey. And we're going." That was all that was necessary to say. Kadaj didn't want to sit down and discuss anything else. Maleficent got her information on what was going on in a nice brief manner and they were going to fight.

This day couldn't get any better.

I'm Game

The Champion wanted them to meet him at the Keyblade Graveyard and fight with him? Wait-- who? Oh right, that was what they were calling the Tool of Darkness guy now. Loz remembered Yazoo saying something about that. "Sounds like fun." He replied with a grin. He was always up for a good fight, of course.

Though he was still a little confused about the details... Mainly who they were facing. "So but wait. Who're we gonna be fighting?" Besides, what did someone that was supposed to be so powerful need them for? Apprently he didn't have any trouble killing keybladers.

He frowned. "And why does the great Champion need our help anyway?"

[Fate]

Simple!

Both questions were easy enough for Kadaj to answer. "Who else do you think? Only the Keyblade Masters and everyone else that's on the side of light. Probably everyone we've seen in this world will be there. The Champion probably just wants us there so it's definite that he'll win." That pretty much set it in stone for the silver-haired remnant. If the Champion wanted them there and didn't think he could handle fighting everyone like he did before, then he wasn't all powerful. By that logic, that meant that he could be surpassed.

And Kadaj's goal was to do just that. But that wasn't the point. He looked at Maleficent briefly. "We can handle this. And we'll definitely return. You can count on that." According to him, this meeting was officially over. They didn't need to talk about anything else now. They would go to the Keyblade Graveyard, fight with the Champion, and kill some people. This would work out great.
