The pieces of worlds surround me. Shisou walked with a light step among the ruined worlds of the End of the World. How shocking this world had seemed the first time she had found it, many years ago. The world of the girl she had been was somewhere in here, but she did not care to find it. She found the place comforting, even considering the Heartless. The place reeked of death and ruin. She held one of her fans up to the sky and considered dancing. That was really the only thing she felt like doing when there wasn't anything to kill. Perhaps she would run into a swarm of Heartless and fight. It held no real danger for her besides the threat of a Resurrection- being a Cursed One, she was forbidden from finding solace in becoming a Heartless. No matter. The black flame within her was comforting enough. She stood up on a high cliff and looked down. If only she could fly...how interesting that would be. How tempting the idea of dancing on this cliff seemed.

Far off, too far to be seen by normal site, off on the solid empty space that made up the entrance to this world, the Champion seemed to be enacting some strange ritual. In one hand, he held the golden greatsword that transported him from world to world. In the other, he held a silver katana. He slowly held them up to the sky, and then crossed them, a glow appearing where the blades touched.
From where Shisou stood, she would see off in the distance a dark stain spreading across the sky with great speed, replacing it with a deep black dotted with points of light.
The starry expanse spread outwards from the Champion, but the regular sky swiftly returned as the Champion stood there, his swords nowhere to be seen.

-You would think a place called 'End of the World' would be more interesting.- "Oh, what an exciting world this is."
With her ship stopped outside the world's entrance, Katherine looked out and saw nothing. It was barren, boring, and not of interest. No one even lived here, did they? Why would anyone live here? Though, it was the first world she had stopped at in some time and she might as well explore a little. Deciding to leave her coat in the ship and leaving her whip attached to her belt-loop, she stepped out and embarked. And what timing too. When she entered the world, another was there. He was taller than her and was holding two swords, one in each hand, and wore a silver robe not like any she had ever seen. If he was actually able to use those swords at the same time, she probably shouldn't mess with him. Though, what was he going to do with those swords now that he had 'em out? Was he planning on fighting something here or something? There didn't look like anything to fight in this place. She stood from afar and watched as the swords crossed, then creating a dark sky above them. How in the... how was he able to do that?! This was no ordinary fellow then, someone who had power. That meant she couldn't take him obviously, though she didn't have a reason to yet. But why was he doing that here? What was the point? And what else could he do with those sword... wait, his swords were gone now. Now that was interesting. Now, how to greet someone that just created a sky with swords. She walked in closer, not a single trace of hesitance in her stride. Might as well ask, right? She was never one for proper introductions anyway; that was boring. "How did you do that?" she asked, keeping her tone polite --for now-- and curious.[/blockquote]

Far off, she saw something interesting. A darkness marred the sky, spreading with great rapidity and then just as quickly disappearing. Ah. There was someone or something else there. She opened a Corridor nearby, intending to investigate. Exiting towards where she had seen the stain emnate from, the first thing she saw was a man with skin the color of onyx wearing a silver robe. If he had created that blemish in the sky, then he was obviously very powerful. More powerful than her? Perhaps. Did it matter? No, no it didn't. But there was another person here, a girl. Shisou's gaze turned to one of steely contempt as she saw her. It was a human, and a rather young one at that. Her voice grated on Shisou's ears, and her humanity was an offense grave enough to deserve only death. I should kill it, yes? Yes."Human," she said in a tone that seemed almost like an accusation. "Have you lost your way, little human? This is a dangerous place." She pointed the unfolded fan at Katherine, a part of the steel edge catching the light. "And you." She opened the other fan and pointed it at the Champion. "After I finish tearing apart the little one, perhaps you can give me some amusement?"Without another word, Shisou struck first at the girl, moving quickly and striking one fan down in a downward slash at the girl's shoulder.

"Why wait?" The Champion asked, a black-bladed longsword appearing in his hand. "I'm sure I can entertain you just fine now." He directed his next few words to Katherine. "Power is your answer. Defend yourself and maybe you can see more of it." A sword of darkness appeared in his other hand, and he swung, sending a surge of darkness at Shisou. Almost as if by accident, such an attack threatened to hit Katherine as well.
The look on his face revealed two things: Curiosity and some unknown decision.

-And the fun starts.- Finally, something of interest. A woman wanted to fight with her and the swordsman was encouraging. No point in socializing now. Katherine jumped back to dodge the blow of the fan while the man produced yet another sword and sent darkness at the other and herself. So he had more power than just making the sky look nice, that was good to know. She had to dodge his nice little dark attack too, making sure to do so while producing her whip. Not waiting until after the man was finished speaking, she infused the whip with darkness of her own and went straight for her enemy, making a loud, cracking noise in the process.

How absolutely like a human to be so cheap. Shisou dodged the surge when the other girl struck with a dark whip. It coiled around her, binding her close with a burning darkness and keeping her from moving. This angered her almost beyond words. Typical human! No strength of her own, so her only hope is to paralyze the other! How pathetic! How absolutely pathetic! And with a corrupted, fake version of her own flame, too! This burned, but it was not fire. Not even close. When she was free of these bonds, she'd show the human what it meant to be in possession of the black fire.

"No, that won't do at all." The Champion mused aloud, moving forwards. "We need to see what both of you are fully capable of, so how about we just cut loose that power?" A single swing of the black bladed sword severed the dark binding, causing it to fall and fade away. It had been aimed so carefully as to avoid harming Shisou with the blade accidentally.
Of course, as he moved back to a more reasonable range, the blast of darkness that he aimed at both Katherine and Shisou was not going to harm either of them 'accidentally.'.

After the show, swordsman is next. Binding worked, but the swordsman broke it due to wanting to see what they were fully capable of. Then he aimed a blast of darkness at the both of them with that sword of his. It hit full force, sending Katherine back a ways. She landed back on her feet, her whip still in hand. This guy wanted to see what the two of them were fully capable of, but why? What was the point? What was she going to get out of fighting this woman? Nothing useful she imagined, no matter which way the fight went.
But fine, if the swordsman wanted to be entertained, she'd continue fighting. And Kat knew what she was fully capable, but couldn't speak for the other fighter. She had used a cheap move on her before, which definitely wasn't below her. What could she do when she wasn't binded? Thinking it to be a little too soon to start melee, Katherine used the whip again. There was no darkness this time, just horizontal whip cracks. The sound echoed in the small area they were in.

Now I strike. As soon as Shisou was released by the swordsman, another blow was sent at her. The darkness hit her this time, chilling her to the bone and knocking her back. She managed to land on her feet, though. Her turn. She began to strike at Katherine, but it was obvious that her strikes were not meant to have serious power to them. Instead, they seemed almost like some sort of dance. Do you like to dance, little human? Shisou moved faster and faster, her fans a flashing blur. As she moved, her hands began to glow with a dark energy, which spread to her fans. The black flame subsisted not only of blood, but also of movement and energy. When she danced, it blazed brighter, warming her. As it did now. The dance ended, and she paused as was the custom. Her fans were now alight with black fire, as were Shisou's own fingers. That didn't matter. It wouldn't hurt her. She was its faithful servant, after all. "Dance, little one," she said, and sliced both of her fans at the girl's torso. [Shisou used Dance of the Black Flame. 1 post remaining.]

"You know... both of you should realize..." The Champion mused, the sword of darkness vanishing from his hand to be replaced by a blue crystalline broadsword. "...There are three opponents in this fight, not two." The blue sword flashed, and where there was once one menacing figure, there were now four, each wielding a black sword and a crystalline one. Two rushed for Shisou, two for Katherine, and all were swinging their swords with ease.

Where the hell does he fit all of those swords? Katherine had to raise an eyebrow when the woman started to dance. Her hits became faster and faster, the blond having to keep up with her to avoid getting hit too much. She did get hit quite a bit, but she kept going. She still couldn't, for the life of her, figure out what dancing had to do making fire... or how fans were weapons. Oh well. Really couldn't be thinking about how that worked while in the middle of battle. Or dancing.
The fans, once they were on fire, hit their target first off, sending said target back. The flames burned; mixed with the steel created a powerful hit. Good choice to include steel on her opponent's part. If she could have, Katherine would have gladly returned the hits with punches of her own. However, the fight between them couldn't last any longer since the swordsman decided to get involved once more... by making three more of himself. Lovely.
Two of them went for her while the other two went for the other woman, different swords once again. Katherine was forced to do a dance of sorts to avoid the swords, then performing a horizontal whip lash in an attempt to catch both swordsmen.

Much more interesting. The one who controlled darkness became many. No, he couldn't be human. He was too interesting and too powerful to be so. He wasn't the same as those Heartless, though, or a Nobody. Perhaps he was something different like she was. Two swordsmen rushed at her, each carrying a black sword as well as a crystal one. She focused on one at a time, striking out while avoiding their swings. The flame was beginning to fade, so she made it a point to attack one with a quick swipe before it went out completely. This wasn't like the human. She'd have to take a defensive stance. Backing up, she prepared to block whatever came at her.

"Good." One of the Champions mused aloud. The Champion successfully fended off several of Shisou's attacks. It was as if the three of them... Shisou and the two Champions... had entered into a dangerous dance of blades. They seemed almost to be moving with the same 'rhythm'. The last of her blows struck, and that Champion simply burst apart into black smoke, dissipating like silt in water. The remaining one continued the graceful moves of block and attack.
One of the ones Katherine was facing had similarly been dispatched by the whip landing, but the remaining one grinned, holding the black sword directly in the path of the whip and catching it to force it to wrap around the blade and holding it in place with his other weapon. The sword which has so easily severed her magic appeared unable to do anything to the whip, but what would she do with the whip so caught?

Good move, I suppose. The other woman seemed to be doing well with the swordsmen doubles, one of them destroyed. Her whip destroyed one of the swordsman here as well, though he pulled a smart move by wrapping it around his sword. Yanking it toward her would just be a generally bad idea, or trying to finagle with the whip at all; moving the whip while it was wrapped around the sword would just be a bad idea in general. So, instead, she quickly reached into her pocket and threw her dagger straight at the swordsman. If she lost it, she wouldn't mind. If she didn't, the better for her.
