Let’s get the basics down first.
Name: Katherine Williams Nicknames: Katy, which she often doesn't like, Kat. Age: 25 Gender: Female Race: Human Homeworld: Port Royal | Traveling Alliance: Darkness, Neutral Evil
You’re just a puppet aren’t you? Played By: Fate. Age: 20. Gender: Female. Contact: MSN | IRC Audition Link: N/A Other: - Theme Song: Heart by Jesper Kyd.
- Battle Music: The Brotherhood Escapes by Jesper Kyd.
- Arcana: Magician
- Fear: Dying.
- Voice: She speaks mostly within the alto range and in “The Queen’s English”.
- Likes: Sailing, the smell of the ocean, oranges, making deals.
- Dislikes: Long conversations, the color yellow, birds.
So tell me a little bit about yourself.
Physical Aspects: Katherine stands at a tall, for her gender, five foot seven and weighs around one hundred thirty two pounds. Through spending most of her time sailing, her skin has a natural tan. Once much lighter, her hair is dirty blonde in color and in a tight braid off of her right side, short bangs covering her forehead. Her eyes are a simple light green, most of the time giving off a glare. For clothes, she keeps it mostly simple. Going from bottom up, she wears black, knee-length cuffed boots with a one inch heel. These go over dark brown pants that are topped off with a black belt around her waist. As for the top, she has a white V-neck blouse with a black vest. Occasionally, she will wear a dark red, unbuttoned, eighteenth century frock coat with silver buttons; typically seen if it’s cold.
Persona: - Façade:
To start, Katherine is a rather ambitious woman and will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals—not anyone else’s unless there’s pay involved. She does what she wants when she wants and often disregards authority except her own. In regards to her own pursuits and what she wants, she gets them done without question and will not let anyone stand in her way. Most of the time, she prefers to work alone; working with people would involve said people getting in her way, going too slow, or not meeting her standards. Needless to say, she keeps to herself most of the time, though definitely can socialize and does so with a dry, snarky sense of humor.
One other thing to note about her is her craftiness. A favorite thing of hers to do is to make deals with others; in her current position, she often has to do so to get employment. She knows how to negotiate rather well, though one has to be very specific when doing this with her; she loves to exploit loopholes and will often do so if she doesn’t see anything worthwhile for her in the deal. She doesn’t like to talk to people much unless there’s something in it for her somehow; trust isn’t something she does with anyone, though at times she wishes she could. She holds no compassion for most people and is considered ruthless; mercy is not a word she understands.
- Inner Mind:
What you see is what you get: there’s not that much more to Katherine than meets the eye. Living more than half of her life as a pirate taught her that one never trusted anyone else and it was every man for himself. She lives by that and doesn’t trust ninety percent of the people she meets. She will admit to caring for one or two people in her life, maybe one or two more, but shuts off the rest; anyone she does happen to trust is mainly for the sake of protection. She’s somewhat calculating, but definitely not to the extent of others. The ferocity that she has is most certainly not an attempt to hide a thing, though she will keep most feelings to herself. There are times when she wishes she could be more compassionate, a better person, but knows that it’s probably not going to happen.

Inventory: Any items such as keychains, and Synthesis materials, as well as plot items go here.
Stand up and fight.
Weapon(s): (Extra!) Fighting Style: With her weapon-of-choice being her whip most of the time, she fights close and hard. She is not afraid to get in her opponent’s face at all and will often make the first move if she has to. With weapons, she is rather versatile and knows how to use almost any she’s given, even though she only carries two on her person; she will fight without weapons if necessary, definitely willing to throw punches or kicks. Her key weakness is not being able to fight long-range very well without a pistol.
ABILITIES SECTION:
[Bind] Infusing her whip with darkness and increasing its length by 1.5x, Katherine makes the whip crack at her opponent. What’s your story? Sailing and piracy was embedded into Katherine before she was born. Her father Edward, a good friend of the captain of The Dauntless and a pirate, snuck his young lover Julia on board after leaving Tortuga. At the time, it was said to be bad luck to bring a woman on board any ship, but he did so anyway. Naturally, Julia couldn’t be hidden on the ship for too long without the rest of the crew and the captain finding out. It also didn’t take long for them to find out she was pregnant with Edward’s child. The captain, merciful for the moment, dropped her off in the next port town. Edward vowed to come back and see his child as soon as possible.
Katherine was born in Port Royal and taken care of there. Her mother managed to find housing at least for a little while, though wasn’t well-liked by the community for being in love with a pirate. Her poor parenting skills were also constantly in question, seeing as Katherine rarely listened to her and was always running around town as soon as she was physically able to. From day one, she was a smart-mouth brat that took anything in reach if she liked it—especially oranges. She also grew up with the knowledge that her father was a pirate and fully intended to meet him when he returned.
It was when she was about ten that she got to finally meet him. Unfortunately, it was during a raid by The Dauntless that caused it to happen. The crew raided the town and took whatever they could find, burning down buildings and killing any who got in their way. The air smelled like cannon fire and smoke after they arrived, that being one of the only things Katherine chooses to remember about that night. Her mother had been one of those people killed, which tore the girl up inside. She may not have liked her mother much, but it still hurt to see her killed by pirates. Doing the only thing she could, she ran from home.
Unfortunately, that didn’t work out quite well. She was found by other members of the crew, ones who had no problem in taking her life as well. Well, most of them. One of them happened to be Edward, who instantly knew who she was just by looking at her—she did have his eyes, thank goodness. He ordered the crew not to kill her and let her live. Though, he had to reconsider with this ten year old bluntly told him that mum was dead. She had no home to go to.
Doing the only thing he could think of doing, he took her with him on board. It took much negotiating with the captain, but she finally was allowed to stay if she became the new “cabin girl”. From that point onward, her home was the ship and the crew, over the course of time, became her family. Her personality meshed well with the others, especially the captain, and she made sure to learn how pirates operated. She also learned how things worked on a ship, gaining the knowledge of how to sail and to take care of the ship with ease. It was only about two or three years later when the crew began teaching her how to fight with various weapons. The one she favored the most, however, was the whip; that became her trademark weapon.
About ten years later, she was part of the main crew that raided and pillaged other port towns. She learned what it was like to kill, how to do it, and how to keep doing it. She used her whip to do so, binding being her particular specialty. She learned to forget what compassion and trust were, the latter coming with the territory of being a pirate. The darkness just came in naturally and was more than welcome in aiding this.
Although, after a while, the same routine got boring; raiding port town after port town was only so exciting the first ten or fifteen times. Katherine wanted something different, thus deciding on a whim to leave The Dauntless and pursue a mercenary career for about a year. She earned herself a nice little name while doing so, and some good gold, but even then, it was still boring. The people she killed didn’t really matter. She wanted to do more with this power of darkness that she had.
Lo and behold, the ability to make Gummi Ships appeared shortly thereafter. Though, making one took too much effort for her and she simply bought one. It was nothing like steering a ship, but she gradually got the hang of it. She currently travels about, looking for something to do. There had to be something out there.
It all comes down to this: make your choice.
You are presented with three weapons: a sword, a staff, and a shield. The sword represents the power of the warrior; invincible courage comes with this weapon as well as horrible destruction. The staff represents the power of the mystic; inner strength comes with this weapon as well as wonder and ruin. The shield represents the power of the guardian; kindness to aid friends comes with this weapon as well as a shield that will repel all.
Which one will you choose?
Chosen Weapon: Katherine takes the Sword.
Guard Break The ability to slash through any defensive abilities of Weak strength, Guard Break symbolizes the destructive power of the Sword at its peak.
Range: Melee Speed: Normal swing speed Cooldown: 3 posts Uses: 2 Strength: Weak

I almost want to see someone end up with a battle scar from that whip already.
Oh yes, I liked the rest too. And good choice of music, wonder how you found those songs.
