Let’s get the basics down first.
Name: Nadia (Badra) Blair: (While her birth surname was Badra, she has since dropped it in favor of Blair.) Nicknames: None Age: 26 Gender: Female Race: Human Homeworld: Agrabah; no longer claims a permanent residence Alliance: Darkness
You’re just a puppet aren’t you? Played By: Aerith Age: 23 Gender: Female Contact: PM Audition Link: N/A Other: - Theme Song(s) – Caught in a Web by Dream Theater; Glass to the Arson by Anberlin
- Battle Theme – Master of Shadow from Persona 3
So tell me a little bit about yourself.
Physical Aspects: Nadia is of average height, standing at around 5'6”, and has a thin frame with only the subtlest of curves. Her jet black hair, at one time, was long and flowing, but since leaving Agrabah, she has cut most of it off, leaving her with a shaggy, cropped look. She has straight-edge bangs that obscure her entire forehead. Her eyes are large and almond-shaped, shaded a deep brown color. Having been born in Agrabah, her complexion is a dark olive and a bit leathery from being exposed to the harsh desert environment.
Now that she no longer calls Agrabah her home and is trying to avoid attracting the attention of her relatives, Nadia has abandoned the traditional dress of that world. Instead, she has taken to wearing nondescript dark-wash jeans and a simple pale green shirt with a slight v-neck and long sleeves. She also wears soft, brown leather moccasins that lace up. The only jewelry she likes to wear is a pair of emerald stud earrings.

Persona: - Façade:
Nadia is often light-hearted, despite her current circumstances. Living around the people of Twilight Town has helped keep her out of the dark clouds of depression. She is easy-going and approachable, always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. While not the most talkative person, she is capable of holding a decent conversation, especially if the subject matter is interesting enough.
Even though life has been unkind to her, she continues to remain resolutely optimistic. She is one of those people who tries to see the good in everyone, determined that humanity as a whole is good. This can come across, not so much as faith, but rather as stubbornness.
If Nadia retains anything of her old nature, it is only to use it as a front. She can still be kind but only to those select few who have gained her trust. Her experiences since beginning to travel with Jericho have made her increasingly wary of people, however. So her trust is something not easily gained.
She usually projects confidence in her ability to take care of herself. Living away from the comforts and familiarity of the noble life in Agrabah has forced her to develop her self-preservation instincts and not rely so much on others to see to her every need. Because of this, she has been building her inner strength, which in turn lends strength to Azrael.
As an extension of her innermost self, Azrael gains power based on Nadia's personal development. Not only do his current abilities become stronger, but he may also gain completely new abilities depending on Nadia's experiences.
- Inner Mind: No longer optimistic, Nadia had little left to cover up the insecurity that she tries to keep buried deep. Since her family rejected her and even sought to kill her, she struggles with abandonment issues. So, she has a tendency to latch onto anyone offering her the security she wants. While she is not physically clingy, once she had attached herself to someone emotionally, it is very difficult for her to let go. The little girl she once was still lives inside her and still longs to be accepted, even if her family did not take her back.
Under Jericho's tutelage, Nadia has developed a deep and abiding hatred of humanity. She sees most people the way he does, with very few exceptions. She has also picked up his love of destruction and has learned (and accepted) the joy of killing. Though she is now nomadic, she has found a home in the darkness, one more satisfying than any she has ever known before.

Stand up and fight.
Weapon(s): - Knives – She carries two of these sheathed on her belt, one at each hip. They are meant solely for tearing into opponents at close range, and therefore, they never leave her hands.
- Azrael – A Persona representing Nadia's psyche, Azrael is a non-traditional, three-headed chimera. While Asherah was simply an ethereal projection, Azrael is corporeal and will freely communicate with Nadia when necessary. He is summoned into battle with an ethereal, blue tarot card given to her by a fortune teller in Agrabah. Whenever she requires it, Nadia simply concentrates, and the card appears in front of her. She then shatters it to pieces with one of her knives, triggering Azrael's summoning.

ABILITIES SECTION: Most of Nadia's abilities stem from her Persona. Though it may seem that she is summoning a completely separate minion to fight for her, she is, in actuality, calling upon an extension of her psyche. Her new connection to the darkness has shattered two previous restrictions. She can now use multiple abilities per post, and Azrael is capable of fighting alongside Nadia for short periods of time.
Thunder Reign Nadia's inner darkness manifests in a large cloud that covers whatever section of the battlefield she occupies. Lightning arcs over the surface of this cloud and strikes anything that tries to approach it. When the lightning connects, opponents can suffer partial paralysis, decreasing their mobility for one post. If it strikes a specific extremity of the body directly (an arm or leg, for example), that area will be completely numbed for one post. Anything within the darkness does not need to fear the lightning. However, while inside, Nadia receives a boost in speed, and visibility for anyone not affiliated with the darkness is severely reduced. Additionally, anyone weak to darkness-based attacks will suffer Weak-strength damage at a constant rate. The cloud stays in existence for one full post after it first appears.
Range: The cloud of darkness extends 25 feet in every direction from Nadia and reaches a height of 30 feet. The lightning strikes are capable of hitting anything that comes within 15 feet of the darkness. Speed: x2 speed boost for Nadia while inside in the cloud Cooldown: 6 posts; cooldown period begins once the cloud is gone Uses: 2 uses per thread Strength: Strong
Dark Agidyne Azrael summons a wall of fire that surrounds Nadia. She can either keep it there to act as a protective barrier for one post, or she can push the wall outward with a wave of darkness. When hit by this wave, opponents suffer burn damage that affects them until the fire goes out. If the target does not douse the flames soon after being ignited, the Weak-strength damage will persist until the flames fizzle out on their own one full post after the initial igniting. Additionally, targets will become temporarily blinded for one post.
Range: The 20-foot-tall wall forms in a 10-foot circle around Nadia and can travel up to 50 feet before dissipating Speed: The darkness-propelled flames reach speeds of roughly 30 mph. Cooldown: 5 posts; if used as shield, cooldown period begins once the flames are gone Uses: 3 uses per thread Strength: Strong
Heat Riser As a support ability, Heat Riser doubles the effectiveness of all offensive abilities and all normal attacks, halves any sustained damage, and grants a boost in speed and evasion. Additionally, this is capable of augmenting one ally in the same way. When activated in one post, the effect lasts through Nadia's next three posts.
Range: Self; ally must be within 20 feet of Nadia to also receive the stat bonuses Speed: x2 boost in both attack agility and evasion Cooldown: 5 posts; cooldown period begins once the effect wears off. Uses: 2 uses per thread Strength: Strong
Azrael's Will Azrael no longer possesses the restrictions Asherah had. Nadia can use him almost as a second weapon by having him “break away” from her and move about the battlefield on his own. However, when this ability is in use, she cannot use any other abilities connected to her Persona. Once Azrael has broken free, he rampages the battlefield for the duration of two posts after the one in which he separated from Nadia. In this state, he can use physical attacks, and the dragon head is capable of breathing fire. Above all else, he protects Nadia.
Range: Azrael cannot move more than 50 feet in any direction from Nadia; the dragon head's fire breath can reach up to 15 feet before fizzling out. Speed: He moves at speeds of up to 15 mph on the ground and 25 mph in the air. Cooldown: 3 posts Uses: 4 uses per thread Strength: Moderate
Cognizance An ability unrelated to Azrael, Cognizance allows Nadia to see a person's memories and flip through them like the pages of a book. She can also see how each individual memory connects to other memories, as these connections manifest in the form of chains. Any particularly faded memories can also be brought back to the forefront of a person's mind, aiding remembrance. Not only that, but she can also suppress a person's memories until they are just barely recognizable. This is not complete erasure, since memories affected in this way can be recovered by some significant trigger. Note that while Nadia can get into a person's head, she can see only memories, not current thoughts, and she can only see feelings that are attached to old memories.
Range: Nadia must be within 10 feet of whoever she is reading. Speed: After only a moment or two of concentration, a person's memories are completely open to her. Cooldown: 4 posts Uses: 3 uses per thread Strength: Moderate
Perception As a supplement to Cognizance, this ability allows Nadia to connect someone to her own memories, enabling them not only to see the memories she chooses to share but also to experience them first-hand. These experiences are quite vivid and can affect the subject physically (in the form of physical pain only, not actual wounds incurred), emotionally, and in some cases, intellectually.
Range: Same as Cognizance Speed: Almost instantaneous Cooldown: 3 posts Uses: 3 uses per thread Strength: Weak
Everybody’s got a weakness or two; what are yours?
Elemental Weakness: Wind Other Weaknesses: Jericho. She would do anything for him, especially if he were threatened. Considering that her former sense of morality is eroding away, this may not be as much of a weakness as it could be for others.
What’s your story?
Nadia was born into a wealthy family in Agrabah and, almost from birth, was expected to fetch an equally wealthy husband. Throughout her childhood, she played the part of bride-to-be quite well, attending all the necessary social functions. However, when she was finally introduced to her hand-picked suitor (chosen, of course, by her parents and various other relatives), she was utterly repulsed by him. He had the intellectual wit of a camel and had a face to match. But when she approached her father about his choice for her future husband, he demanded silence from her and sent her away. Wealth and influence trumped attraction.
Her only escape was found in reading the ancient stories contained in her father's scrolls. She would often retreat to his library and read for hours, much to the chagrin of the rest of her family. When her father had stood it as much as he could, he finally denied her access to the library, locking it whenever he wasn't personally there. So, Nadia had nowhere to go but outside the house grounds.
One day, she was wandering the streets of the marketplace when an old woman sitting just inside an alley caught her attention. With a bony finger, the woman beckoned Nadia over, and it was like she was pulling her over with an invisible string. The sharp smell of alcohol hit Nadia, but she knelt down and leaned close to better hear the woman's words. But there was nothing to hear. The woman reached out and pressed a single, flimsy card into Nadia's hand.
The second her fingers touched that card, Nadia's entire world changed.
Blue light exploded upon contact, and Nadia had to shield her eyes. Then, sharp pains ravaged her head, and she collapsed. The last things she saw were the woman's toothless grin and the glowing edges of a third person who hadn't been there before.
When she awoke, she was lying in the middle of the market. A large crowd had gathered but was noticeably distanced from her, as if they were afraid to draw near. Most of them were holding rocks in their hands and staring her down. An argument broke out, and she slowly sat up to see who it was. Her father and the father of her future camel-husband were shouting at each other, saying something about exiling her from the world. She was a danger to them all? She caught the words “Heartless” and “evil power” and “possession” before her movement caused every single eye present to turn to her.
Before she knew it, she was being thrown onto the nearest Gummi Ship without a single word of explanation. When the ship finally landed, she found herself all alone in Twilight Town. No one to turn to, no one to explain. She found a back alley somewhere and just sat and cried for a while. That was when that card the woman had given her suddenly appeared in front of her, spinning lazily in a soft, blue glow. And then, she knew. The knowledge was a part of her. Asherah echoed in her mind, another presence separate from and yet one with Nadia. That gave her the strength to get up and figure out a way to start a new life with the circumstances laid before her.
It all comes down to this: make your choice.
You are presented with three weapons: a sword, a staff, and a shield. The sword represents the power of the warrior; invincible courage comes with this weapon as well as horrible destruction. The staff represents the power of the mystic; inner strength comes with this weapon as well as wonder and ruin. The shield represents the power of the guardian; kindness to aid friends comes with this weapon as well as a shield that will repel all.
Which one will you choose?
Chosen Weapon: Nadia considers, then takes the Staff.
Offensive Magic Specialty This ability symbolizes the magical prowess of the Staff, increasing the strength of all Strong magical offensive abilities by 2x damage.

I greatly enjoyed reading this character's profile. I also love the Persona of Asherah myself and think it's really interesting to introduce to this whole thing. The Persona was well done and I loved reading the history. The abilities look good and are pretty straightforward, so...
