Let’s get the basics down first.
Name: Clive Arron Nicknames: None Age: 42 Gender: Male Race: Human Homeworld: Port Royal, Agrabah, Radiant Garden Alliance: Shadow Light
You’re just a puppet aren’t you? Played By: Nothingness Age: 19 Gender: Male Contact: PM Audition Link: N/A Other:
So tell me a little bit about yourself.
Physical Aspects: Clive stands in at 5'10", weighing about 170 lb. His hair is a curly black mess that stops at his nape and covers his ears, and has since shaven off the stubble that once darkened his face. His gray eyes look dull, but have gained a small amount of light, making them seem a bit softer than the harsh, steely-look of before. His face is of a fairly normal shape with a sharp jawline and a thin nose. Sporting black pants with a brown leather belt, brown leather boots, and a white dress shirt with the top three buttons undone, he appears much more approachable. His body is tan, very fit, and his skin has a rough look to it. On his left ring finger is his gold wedding band--the last thing he owns of his former life. On his right forearm is a golden bangle with the image of an hourglass engraved on it.
Persona:
- Façade: Clive no longer shows as much warmth towards people, but also won't show them as much coldness, either. Instead, he shows about as much respect to one person as towards another, unless he happens to be working with them, or working for them. He hasn't forgone redemption, but instead focuses on himself rather than how he wants others to be. He no longer avoids killing, but uses it as his last resort now.
- Inner Mind: Stumbling upon a glimpse of self-actualization, Clive has accepted who he is. He's not a killer, not a carpenter, father, or husband anymore. Those are what he was, and those no longer affect him. Clive acts how he sees fit, not binding himself to some sort of title or position. The opinions of others matter little to him now, but doesn't just see things his own way, either. He's willing to sees things other people's way, but that won't immediately change his own opinions.

Items: (List any items you wish to purchase)
Inventory: Any items such as keychains, and Synthesis materials, as well as plot items go here.
Stand up and fight.
Weapon(s): Clive wields a pair of katara, modified with curved metal over the grips to act as hand and wrist guards.
Abilities Section: While he may be a skilled knife fighter, Clive's skill becomes two-fold due to his control over time. However, the bangle he wears does have its limits, and as such, the amount of times Clive uses his time-based abilities is compounded, and can never exceed five abilities used per thread. He also is unable to use more than one time-based abilities at the same time, and cooldowns are shared.
Time-Bearer
- Fade:Moving faster than the eye can follow, Clive seems to fade out of existence and reappear out of thin air. He uses this to close the distance between himself and the target, or to confuse them and quickly overpower them. Clive can only move in a straight line while in motion, can't attack until stopped, and can't go through solid objects.
Range: Can move in three, (up to) twenty foot sprints per use Speed: 250mph
- Double Vision
Altering the flow of time around him, Clive seems to gain a strange aura around him--an after-image that copies his movements, slightly behind him in time. Throughout the duration of this effect all of Clive's attacks deal two hits, and have a slight, quarter-second delay between each movement. This effect lasts for one post.
Range: Melee Range Speed: Swing speed
- Dust to Dust
When struck by an attack, Clive can stop time for a moment, turning himself to sand and negating the damage. While time is stopped, he can freely position himself somewhere else approximately twenty feet away from where he was originally standing.
Range: Clive reappears within twenty feet of where he was attacked Speed: Instantaneous
Cooldown: Two posts Uses: Five per thread Strength: Strong
Guillotine Fist Focusing a massive amount of strength into a single attack, Clive's punch can shatter stone. Can be used in conjunction with Fade, but can only use one jump, and takes up two uses, doubling the cooldown.
Range: Melee Speed: Punch speed Cooldown: N/A Uses: Once per thread Strength: Moderate
Judgment Flare Gathering light into his hand, Clive releases it in a massive burst that partially blinds characters affiliated with Shadow, and completely blinds characters affiliated with Darkness (including Heartless) as well as dealing them weak damage, for two posts. When used during Double Vision, it completely blinds Shadow characters and deals them weak damage, boosts the damage dealt to Darkness characters to moderate, as well as extending the blindness for an extra post. However, it immediately cancels the effect of Double Vision and consumes another use of the Time Ability, doubling its cooldown.
Range: 25 foot radius Speed: Takes three seconds to charge, and release is instant Cooldown: Three posts Uses: Three per thread Strength: Moderate
Retribution Clive can transfer the wounds of others to himself, and vice versa. He must make physical contact for this to work and can transfer most injuries, barring serious wounds. Also, Clive can share the physical pain of another person as well, lessening it for the recipient. He can choose which wounds he wants to transfer, as well as how much of a wound. Can be used in conjunction with Dust to Dust, but can only inflict the wound he himself was going to take, and costs two uses as well as a double cooldown on his Time abilities.
Range: N/A Speed: Instantaneous Cooldown: Two posts Uses: Four per thread Strength: Moderate
Twitch Reaction Having spent so much time fighting for his life, Clive's learned to react on instinct rather than his senses. As such, his reaction time is faster than most people--enough to give him the upper hand in a difficult situation.
Range: N/A Speed: 40% faster reaction time. Cooldown: N/A Uses: Passive Strength: Moderate
Situational Awareness After years of never having to drop his guard, Clive's developed an almost sixth-sense to the presence of anything near him. While not as powerful in his sleep or while fatigued, his senses are collecting data on changes in the environment around him, and will warn him when danger is approaching, triggering a brief adrenaline rush to snap him out of his stupor.
Range: 20 foot radius, 10 foot radius when fatigued. Speed: N/A Cooldown: N/A Uses: Passive Strength: Weak
Everybody’s got a weakness or two; what are yours?
Elemental Weakness: Water Other Weaknesses: None
What’s your story?
Clive was once a happy man. He had a lovely wife, Claire, of eighteen years, and a beautiful sixteen year old daughter, Rachelle. They weren't rich, nor were they poor, but neither of those mattered to them: they were happy. He was a carpenter, his wife was a seamstress, and his daughter was becoming a rose amidst the city's dreariness. He wouldn't change any of this for the world. But, four years ago, the world changed for him.
Four years ago, a string of brutal murders were committed that sent the town into a silent panic. The streets at night were empty, the air still, and the navy out on the hunt. These murders continued for weeks with neither evidence nor suspects found. Clive and his family weren't particularly worried since all of these murders were committed on the other side of the town, and mostly among the upper-middle class. They felt, for the most part, safe. Then one evening his entire world collapsed.
He was coming home, late from work, when he saw that the front door of his house was open. His heart stopped, but his body began to run without him mind willing it. As he entered his home, he found the bodies of his wife and daughter, dead, lying in pools of their own blood. He fell onto his hands and knees, the blood making a sickening squelch as he did, and he instinctively picked up their bodies and held them. He cried. For how long, he didn't know. When he stopped, he looked to the side and found a knife lying on the dusty floor. He laid his wife down and picked up the knife, still in complete shock. Just as he did, the soldiers stormed through the house, believing that they found the murderer. As they dragged him off, his hand caught on his daughter's necklace and pulled it off of her neck. He never stopped wearing the necklace, nor his wedding ring.
Clive didn't know how long her was kept in that prison. Threatened with the gallows, but kept alive. Apparently, the authorities believed him to have an accomplice for whatever reason and weren't going to kill him until Clive revealed them (or until they got bored of waiting). So they tortured him--whippings and beatings--until he was numb to the pain. He never spoke, ate when he was given food, and slept when he could no longer stay awake. Whenever he closed his eyes he would see his wife and daughter, smiling sadly upon him.
The day came for his execution: to be publicly hanged from the neck until dead for the crime of murder. As the hangman pulled the lever Clive was ready for it all to end, but just as he felt the rope go taut it snapped. He didn't know why it didn't end that day, but then chaos broke in the crowd. Pirates had begun to attack the town, and during their raid they had kidnapped Clive. He was recruited, and joined them, not that he had much of a choice in the matter.
Two years passed on the sea, following only the orders of the captain in silence. Killing, stealing, destroying. Those held no meaning for him--they were simply distractions. No loyalty was found between himself and the pirates, at least no more so than the pirates had between each other. Which is why, as soon as he had the opportunity, he stowed away on some foreigner's ship, unbeknownst to him that it was in fact a Gummi Ship. The next time the ship landed he got off and found himself in Agrabah.
Within his first day in this new world he ended up saving the life of a wealthy man from a pair of assassins. As a reward, Clive was put into his servitude: he had no complaints with this arrangement. It came as no surprise what his purpose was: to kill the man who had tried to kill his new-found master. However, upon inspection of the target he found it near impossible to take him out. So, his master suggested that Clive visit the Cave of Wonders. And it was there Clive found a rather interesting treasure--a golden bangle. When he clasped it onto his forearm, time seemed to slow around him. With this treasure, he was easily able to carry out his master's order and eliminate the target.
From that day forward, he was at his master's beck and call. His main task was to kill anyone who could possibly endanger the interests of his master. But when he was told to assassinate a young woman, around the age his wife was, he simply replied "No" and walked away. He lived his life afterward as an assassin-for-hire. All he could remember how to do was kill, and there was no reason to go back to his old life.
Yet still, whenever he closes his eyes he sees the image of Claire and Rachelle, smiling their sad smiles. Maybe one day...
It all comes down to this: make your choice.
You are presented with three weapons: a sword, a staff, and a shield. The sword represents the power of the warrior; invincible courage comes with this weapon as well as horrible destruction. The staff represents the power of the mystic; inner strength comes with this weapon as well as wonder and ruin. The shield represents the power of the guardian; kindness to aid friends comes with this weapon as well as a shield that will repel all.
Which one will you choose?
Chosen Weapon: Clive picks up the Sword, imagining the destruction it will wrought.
Guard Break The ability to slash through any defensive abilities of Weak strength, Guard Break symbolizes the destructive power of the Sword at its peak.
Range: Melee Speed: Normal swing speed Cooldown: 3 posts Uses: 2 Strength: Weak

Everything looks pretty nice overall. I like the detail that he seems to have snuck onto Sora's ship back in KH2 to get to Agrabah, though I might be over reading it and it was just someone random. Fade seems pretty well tuned, and while it's fast as hell, it's range is limited enough for it to not be broken.
Accepted, locked and moved.
