So tell me a little bit about yourself.

Physical Aspects: Daniel Carter resembles his brother only in the eyes, which are just as bright green and expressive (although far less murderous). He has short blonde hair and large glasses, and despite being in his thirties looks quite young. He is skinny and obviously unfit for fighting, but hides this under a large, baggy lab coat. Under said coat, he has a simple grey shirt with an insignia on it.

Persona:

• Façade: Quiet and polite, Daniel is a very inoffensive, even kind person. However, he constantly seems distant and nervous, and often keeps to himself. He is an incredibly intelligent individual and a scientific prodigy- the only time that he seems truly excited is when he's going on about the possibilities of this experiment or that. He never stays in one place for long, claiming to be searching for someone.
  
• Inner Mind: Although he is far kinder and far more sane than his cruel brother, Daniel is nonetheless friendless, as he shies away from any meaningful connection to anyone else. He is often burdened by regrets, and occasionally finds himself in a state of extreme self-disgust. He is obviously driven to stop his brother's rampage, and won't let anything get in his way. His creations are the only things he has any connection to, and he considers them as friends or children depending on the nature of the creation.

What’s your story?

Daniel was born to a happy family and lived a good life for a long time, always looking to his big brother as a role model to be admired.

All that changed when his brother, Vincent Carter, murdered his family. At least, Daniel had heard that he had. He refused to believe the rumors until his brother came looking for shelter. While hiding him, Daniel could see the obvious signs of a deep-seated, hate-filled insanity- he would go into mad fits of screaming rage, punctuated by bursts of laughter, and became increasingly violent. Afraid, Daniel cast him out to the authorities, but word quickly spread of his escape.

Daniel, horrified, turned himself completely to his work, his experiments becoming more and more questionable. He was never malevolent in his intentions, though, and nothing horrible came of anything he did.

His greatest success was the Gabriel Unit, a genetic experiment designed to kill Heartless. It was ageless, healed quickly, and proved exemplary in field tests- but Daniel's disgust at creating a killing machine drove him and another scientist to give it new memories and a new life.

Ever since Vincent escaped, he's heard stories of his brother's atrocities under the pseudonym of Alan Jericho. He has resolved to kill Jericho, but sometimes fears that by going down the road of revenge he risks becoming just like the twisted madman who wears the face of his brother.

It all comes down to this: make your choice.
