Urgent news, sir. [July 30, 2010] The night sky shone calmly over Naught's Skyway. Aixfeur was ignoring this completely as she walked briskly up it. Where was he? After gathering some supplementary information to make sure she didn't sound like an idiot and resting for a bit, she had begun searching for the Academic. However, he wasn't anywhere to be found. Perhaps he was on a different world? Ah. There he was, near the end. She walked to him, but stopped at a respectful distance. "Sir. I have gathered the information that you have asked for. I apologize for not contacting you in advance, but if you are not busy then I would report it."

Well That Was Fast Vexen had been on one of his fairly frequent lurkings around the Castle, with very little reason for doing so. Though he might have been somewhat interested in speaking with some of the members, particularly Lexaeus and perhaps Zexion (strictly for the reason of catching up on his recent lack of harassment of the Schemer), the chances of easily finding them wasn't likely.
Still... Lexaeus needed to be spoken to. Nothing had been heard of the Silent Hero since the event at the Keyblade Graveyard five days previously, at least not as far as Vexen was aware. As the official leader of the Organization it was his job to call a meeting of the group to discuss such pressing issues. Granted, a meeting probably wouldn't get them anywhere-- the previous ones where proof of that-- but he could at least discuss matters with the Academic, the only both intelligent and reasonably sane member.
Broken out of his state of thought by her voice, Vexen looked up to find Aixfeur talking to him. Apparently she was coming to report to him the information that she had found. So, she had completed the assignment already? "You clearly didn't waste much time." he commented. He had to admit, he was impressed. At least by the Soldier's speed that was. The quality of what she had gathered was still yet to be seen.
"Proceed."

I hope that my conclusions are correct. "Yes, sir." She took a quick breath. This was what counted. She believed that she had gathered enough information to keep from seeming like a fool, and was prepared to recite it. "The reason for the Champion's search for the Princesses of Heart are simple at their core. It has been revealed that his being the 'Champion of Darkness' is a facade, or at least a half-truth. What he seeks is balance, and so he is gathering the Princesses to open the Door to Darkness.'
'However, opening the door in itself would not balance out the recent prominence of light, simply create a new imbalance. So it is my belief that he wishes to open the door partway, or tamper with it in such a way as to allow darkness to flow out of it in certain degrees.
The sources of this information are trustworthy, at least in this regard. The Champion has a few allies, but some grew discontent after the failure of the Graveyard battle. It was from his more trusted allies that this information was gained, sir. I do not know the exact reason for the battle- my guess would be that it was established to make him seem more of a threat, in which case it backfired. But that is near-baseless conjecture. If you wish, I will look further into that field."She wondered if that would be enough. She had performed exceptionally speed-wise; now it was time to see if her information was adequate as well.

Not Bad "Interesting." So the Academic's theory had been correct; not at all a surprise. The Champion wished to use the Princesses of Heart to open the Door to Darkness. "I had suspected that was his intention with them." It wasn't exactly a difficult conclusion to come to, that was if you were aware of that particular function of theirs (which most actually weren't). But apparently she had actually found a bit of information that was somewhat a surprise.
"The fact that he is seeking balance, however, is an unexpected twist... Though is it really one of consequence, I wonder?" Regardless of what his motives for doing so were, his actions were the same. Of course that wasn't necessarily to say his actions merited such concern from Vexen as it did from some of the others. Personally, he wasn't too worried about a keyblader or two dying. Getting his heart back wasn't something he was all that worried about. Besides, there were serious flaws in the logic of their plan for doing so; it probably wouldn't even work.
"You could," he replied to her offer. "though that isn't entirely necessarily." Her guess was a fairly logical one, and seeking the exact answer was a waste of time. "The information you managed to gather is enough to tell us what we need to know: what it is he is after, and how it is he intends to obtain it." All the little details that had once seemed so mysterious were beginning to add up.
Pausing for a moment, he supposed he out to commend her performances. "I must say, I'm impressed with the results you have shown. You exceeded my expectations." Looked like the test was over, and the Relentless Soldier had passed.

Is this where I feel happy? Having had little experience with emotion as a human, Aixfeur was unsure whether or not she was supposed to be happy. Her guess was she would have been elated at the completely unexpected praise. She hadn't ever been praised for anything, though, so this was an incredibly odd experience and in the end her facial expression did not change at all because her showing emotion would have been awkward for both parties. "Thank you, sir."The sense of satisfaction she had was fleeting, overcome quickly by the thought that she should get more done. She did like working, after all, and hopefully her next mission involved fighting. "Sir. Is there anything else you would like me to do?"After actually getting a mission, she did not want to go back to training and waiting.

Important Busy Work Hmm. Was there anything else that Vexen wanted Aixfeur to do for him? Not particularly. For the time being he had all he wished to know about the Champion. There was no need for the Academic to make any move against him for the time being; it was his turn.
As for something on a completely different matter... well, also not really. The scientist was currently preoccupied with a project or two that did not require any assistance. Still, he felt that he ought to give the girl something to keep her busy with for now. It seemed that she actually wanted a mission to accomplish, that she enjoyed it. Whether that was better described as good work ethic or an unhealthy workaholic, it was to his advantage. And best to give the Soldier what she wanted.
"Yes, there is." he replied, quickly thinking of what he could have her do that would be most productive.
"Now that we have determined what it is the Champion is up to, it is time we focus our attention to a much more immediate topic: that of the other members. I have not seen any of them since the Graveyard, and I would like for you to find out what each of them has been up to. As you know, some of them have a history of no good, and we cannot be sure that they aren't up to something..." he paused. "Or just as problematic, in Lexaeus's case, up to absolutely nothing."
Perfect. A worth while task, that would no doubt keep Number Eleven busy for slightly longer than her previous one. "See what you can find, and report back to me."

It will be done. Aixfeur nodded. More information gathering, but this required more skill. She would hardly be able to learn this by walking up to all of them and asking questions- at least, she wouldn't get true answers. This would be a harder mission. If she kept doing these, eventually she would be given combat missions. "Understood, sir. I will report to you as soon as I am finished." His final sentence had served well enough as a dismissal, and since she had arrived unannounced she did not want to waste any more of his time. She silently disappeared into a Corridor.
