Let’s get the basics down first.
Name: Lysander Gnaritas Nicknames: Sometimes called "Ly" by friends. Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Human Homeworld: Born in Traverse Town, but calls no world home. Alliance: Light
You’re just a puppet aren’t you? Played By: Jay Age: 17 Gender: Male Contact: See the now-deleted/denied profile of Nyxar. Audition Link: nupe Other: The first name was inspired by Brezzen's character. I love the name greatly. Some, aka Aly, may recognize the surname.
So tell me a little bit about yourself.
Physical Aspects: Lysander, ever with a pleasant smile upon his face, stands at 6'8", weighing in at somewhere just over one hundred ninety pounds. He wears a dark blue collared shirt, but it is lined in a silvery, metallic thread, of the same material his blade is made of. His pants are made of a dark blue cloth, and, though they are straight legged, appear to not hamper his movement at all. They, too, are trimmed with silver. Though he hasn't much in the way of bulging muscles, the man is actually well-muscled. His left hand, oddly enough, is gauntleted, and the gauntlet, aesthetically, seems to radiate cold, and is nearly frost-rimed. This has no effect on him, or anyone touching it, and were anyone else to wear it, they would notice it wasn't actually cold at all.
His face is of intermediate formation; his jaw was not too pointed, nor was it too square. It just was. His cheeks are slightly sallow, as if from a constant stress keeping him thin. He wasn't particularly fair, but that wasn't to say he was ugly. Like his jaw, he just was. His hair was a dark brown, but there seems to be other colors in there, and whenever you try to determine one, it is no longer there. He keeps it short, if a bit rugged. His eyes are a steely grey, not unlikely to have happened because of his father, whose genetic code was quite screwed up.
Persona: - Façade: Lysander is, first and foremost, one who strives to do what is right. He distrusts mages, but not to the extent of his father; he just feels that anyone with too much power unchecked will inevitably be corrupted. Everyone deserves a chance in Lysander's eyes; however, if you screw that up, you are out of luck. Either he'll politely ignore you and forget your existence, or he'll hunt you down and, quickly and mercifully, will end your life. Really, the man who was little more than a boy just wanted to help people.
- Inner Mind: Lysander isn't his father, and he wants to prove that, to himself and others. Trying to right all of the wrongs in the world is his way to fix everything he knows his father has done over the years. He knows he can't fix all of Slayer's mistakes, but he can do his best to make the worlds better. So deeply is this ingrained in him, he doesn't even realize it himself. He thinks he himself wants to do this out of his own free will, to make lives better. Lysander is a good person, true, but he also has other--deeply repressed--ulterior motives.

ABILITIES SECTION:
Student of the Elements I Due to his training from his father, Lysander has picked up on some of the elemental mastery traits Slayer was known for. He's pieced together enough to realize what his father meant in some ways. The following lists what he has learned, split into sections for easier understanding. (if it was all willy-nilly, it would be much harder to understand)
- Waterlogged: Sometimes you have to jump in the water, and if you can't get out because of enemy archers, you have to hold your breath a long time. Or use water manipulation to separate the hydrogen and oxygen in the water. Lysander preferred the second option, and so his body has learned to use this pure oxygen efficiently. Thus, he can breathe underwater. He cannot use this for any other purpose, including allowing others to breathe under water.
- Stonefeet: Holding your position is key to winning a battle. If he doesn't want to, Lysander won't give any ground to the enemy. Due to this resolve, and some innate and learned earth manipulation, he is immune to knockdowns. He can't use the earth manipulation in any other ways, and if an ability stronger than this were to attempt a knockdown, he would be unable to avoid it. This only protects against Strong or weaker abilities.
- Mental Supremacy: In the battlefield, every little thing can be a death trap. So, you have to learn to denote everything you can, and puzzle out its meaning as quickly as you possibly can. If you don't, you could die. Lysander picked up on this quickly, using subtle air manipulation to note things you wouldn't otherwise, and his mind learned to piece things together much better. Thus, he can notice subtle clues in a man's posture and eye movements that betray larger motives. How he processes this is entirely based on prior bias and otherwise preexisting conditions.
Range: Personal or none Speed: N/A Cooldown: N/A Uses: Passive Strength: Strong
Mastery of the Sword ;; Speed Before Power Due to learning swordsmanship from his father, Lysander is an experienced warrior, especially for one as young as he. This experience has manifested itself in the form of increased attack speed and reaction time. When he finds himself in a battle, he is able to react with twice the speed as a normal person, and his blows are twice as fast. However, he cannot run that speed, just attack and react.
Range: Personal Speed: 2x attack and react (not movement speed) Cooldown: N/A Uses: Passive Strength: Moderate
Mastery of the Sword ;; Parkour With a Blade Due to learning swordsmanship from his father, Lysander is an experienced warrior, especially for one as young as he. This experience has manifested itself in the form of the ability to maneuver extraordinarily well, even with a sword. He can manage feats of parkour, such as running up walls, with a blade in his hand. Lysander can even dodge over small walls and such.
He can also jump higher and farther than the average person. The exact amount is detailed in the range section.
Range: Maximum of 5 feet horizontal wallrun; 5 feet of lift in vertical jump, 10 feet horizontal (without running start) Speed: Running speed x1.25 Cooldown: Not applicable Uses: Passive Strength: Weak
Everybody’s got a weakness or two; what are yours?
Elemental Weakness: Darkness Other Weaknesses: He has a thing for righting wrongs.
What’s your story?
Born to Slayer Gnaritas, who was truly much older than he had let on to his traveling companions, and a mother who died in childbirth, Lysander was raised--on various worlds, nonetheless--much differently than other children. Learning was the name of his childhood game; he was taught as much as he could learn and then more. Slayer wanted someone to carry on his legacy, as he knew he was not to live forever. However, Lysander was not the good little soldier Slayer wanted.
He had a near pure conscience. He wanted to make things better. He didn't see why mages were so bad. And even as he disagreed with his father, the man never laid a hand on him. Lysander didn't hate his father, nor his father he; they simply disagreed. Three things they both agreed on, however, all throughout Lysander's childhood, and especially as he grew older; knowledge was of the utmost importance. Without it, there was nothing. Those who abused the power given them were not fit for that power.
The third? He and his father felt it was their responsibility to punish the abusers. Thus, he and his father parted and went their own ways, trying to make things right in their own ways.
It all comes down to this: make your choice.
You are presented with three weapons: a sword, a staff, and a shield. The sword represents the power of the warrior; invincible courage comes with this weapon as well as horrible destruction. The staff represents the power of the mystic; inner strength comes with this weapon as well as wonder and ruin. The shield represents the power of the guardian; kindness to aid friends comes with this weapon as well as a shield that will repel all.
Which one will you choose?
Chosen Weapon: Shield
Guard Placing your weapon or shield in a defensive position, you block the efforts of a Weak ability and nullify it. This symbolizes the defensive properties of the Shield, and is broken by Guard Break.
Range: Melee Speed: N/A Cooldown: 2 posts Uses: 2 Strength: Weak
