Cognizance
An ability unrelated to Azrael, Cognizance allows Nadia to see a person's memories and flip through them like the pages of a book. She can also see how each individual memory connects to other memories, as these connections manifest in the form of chains. Any particularly faded memories can also be brought back to the forefront of a person's mind, aiding remembrance. Not only that, but she can also suppress a person's memories until they are no longer remembered. This is effectively erasure, but memories affected in this way can be recovered by some significant trigger. Note that while Nadia can get into a person's head, she can see only memories, not current thoughts, and she can only see feelings that are attached to old memories.
Range: Nadia must be within 10 feet of whoever she is reading.
Speed: After only a moment or two of concentration, a person's memories are completely open to her.
