Really wish my thinking spot wasn't blown up. [August 7, 2010] --
Quiet, rarely visited, and dimly lit. This could work as a new place for Zexion to stay by himself.
This was where he went almost directly after his visit with Castle, having discarded his cloak for the moment and now having to think about what to do next. He was too careful to want to just jump straight into what Jericho had planned, needing to have a plan for himself at the same time. What to do though? How much could he plan in advance? He unfortunately didn't know what Jericho was going to be doing other than destruction of worlds and seeking out princesses of heart. Not something he needed an illusionist for at the moment.
Other things needed to get done. There was still the futile search for Xehanort to continue. He might be back, just maybe. Doubtful though, since he would have shown his presence somewhere. He wasn't here though, that much was obvious.
But... Axel was. Why? Zexion walked further into the world, near the actual shoreline. Sure enough, the Flame was there, lying on the sand almost directly in front of him. That was... odd. "Hello Axel." Nothing else to say. He never guessed Axel would stay in a place like this. Didn't he have something planned with Saïx at this point? Whoever knew.

Leave me alone. -------- Vast, dark emptiness. The sound of waves. Sand against his neck, seeping into his clothes.
Axel had, quite literally, not moved for days. Normally, this would have driven him crazy. His very nature demanded that he constantly be moving somewhere. Stagnation extinguished his inner fire. No wonder he constantly grew bored and needed to find the next thing.
He had no will to get up. The only movement was inside his head as he drifted lethargically through thoughts and memories. Isolation could be nice sometimes. He could get by without his usual need for companionship. No one hardly visited this place, and he could drift.
Or not.
He heard the sand crunching beneath footsteps well before he heard Zexion's voice. Zexion. Why was the Schemer here?
Well, Axel was in no mood to even pretend to be friendly. "What do you want?"

Don't need you to go kill anyone right now, no. --
For once, Zexion didn't want something from Axel. That was how all of their other meetings had gone, hadn't they? Pretty much. "Nothing. I came here to think, though I didn't expect you to be here as well." Honest answer, for once. It was easy to tell that Axel wasn't exactly in the mood to talk, especially with the Schemer. He didn't mind that, even though he was curious as to why Axel was just laying on the beach.
He sat down a bit away from Axel, getting out his Lexicon and starting to write. There wasn't much either, not many thoughts he had to put down. He might as well say something to Axel, attempt civil conversation for once. "I assume you're not going back to the castle?" Boring question, but it might provide insight. Might.

You might want to watch what you say. -------- Axel heard rather than saw the Schemer settle down in the sand nearby. Why was he insistent on breaking Axel's solitude? He wanted no part of anyone, much less another Organization member--if one could say the Organization still existed, anyway.
"That damn castle? No. I don't think I'll be going back to it ever again."
He went silent for a long while, trying to quell the rising anger he was tempted to direct straight at Zexion. It was a precarious balance on a razor's edge. Taking his frustration out on Zexion would do no good.

I know you want me to leave, but I really, really don't want to go find another spot. --
"Good. I was about to advise against it." Another few words on the page, finished entry. Hostile words from Axel though, a bit more than he was expecting than the usual 'Nah, think I'll pass' sort of attitude. This was an attitude that said "if you say one wrong thing, I will burn you". Other than being incredibly bored at the last pointless meeting of the Organization, Axel had rather good reasons to still not be happy with the Schemer. It was mostly his fault for dragging him back into the defunct Organization. Other than Saïx.
Next open page of the Lexicon devoted to sketching. He wasn't even bothering to make eye contact with Axel at the moment. "Any particular reason aside from it being defunct already? And Vexen?" Admittedly, that was one of Zexion's own reasons: tired of the Academic's antics. He had a spy out and about anyhow that the Schemer would need to address.
