New Site Layout?

Okay, so here's the scoop. I don't know about you, but I'm thinking it's time for a new site layout. The banner, while lovely in design, is a bit too big. Xemnas is also dead now, so it doesn't make any sense to leave him there anymore. However, this isn't just my site and I want to hear everyone's opinions.

If you have any ideas too, that would be fantastic. Just post them in this thread or in the chat so we can talk about them. Thank you!

As long as we can actually find a coder willing to do it for us and come to a unanimous decision about this, I don't really care either way. As far as ideas, I'll repeat what I said in the chat. I see a black/gold/light blue color scheme with a lot of angles, like square and diamond shapes. As far as actual images for the header, maybe something to do with the Org and Keyblades since those are pretty common things here.

I can see if Rocket is willing to help again. If not, then we'll need to find someone else. If so, then we'll need to give Rocket what we want in a bit more specific manner.

I'll have to see if I can get the idea in my head drawn out to make it easier. That might help. I'll see about doing that tonight and editing this post with something.

I also want to know if there are any opinions about keeping the c-box where it is. I sort of like keeping it at the bottom, but I've seen many other sites that put it on one side. What does everyone think about that?

Keep it on the bottom. Its easier to keep up with and looks less cluttered.

I agree--the cbox at the bottom of the site looks a lot nicer than if it were on the side.

I also agree with you guys. Putting it on the side just makes the side more cluttered.

I like it, and your staff (possibly with icons) idea led me to remember what DS once did; they had pictures for each staff member, and when you scrolled over them, it showed that member's name and had a clickable link.

I thought it was a cool idea...

I think that would be easy enough to do. The only thing I would worry about is putting too many images on the page and then making it load slower. I think we could make it work though, quite honestly.

Also, as for a background, I'm still clueless as to what to do. What I did was just a default background thing from powerpoint. Any patterns or anything that people find and/or think are a good idea are welcome here too. That way, if/when we get a coder, we can give them really good specifics as to what we want.
