Couldn't resist, mate. August 9th, 2010 Empty. Hollow Bastion was empty, and befitting of that name. Cloud had gone missing. For that matter, so had Aerith. What they were doing was beyond him. Sephiroth flew around, looking for something to do, someone to torture, or something at least, but he was drawing blanks. Things were so quiet, he'd actually been able to sleep. Uninterrupted. For hours.
This was unprecedented. The One Winged Angel had searched for a long time, and he could not find any of them. Of course, he would never admit that he was somewhat lost without Cloud to torture. After all, that would be sad. But the truth of it was, he was. The man in the black cape had nothing else to do with his time than torture people. And now, he had no one to torture.
But he sighted someone below. Vincent Valentine. He didn't really enjoy torturing him, since it was much too easy. Instead, he lowered himself to stand a few feet from the other man and crossed his arms, a smirk spreading across his face. "Well, hello there, Vincent. It has been a while since we last spoke. How are your friends doing?" Regardless, he had to get one potshot in, at least. Sephiroth was an asshole, after all.

Haven't posted as Vincent in a loong time, forgive me. -- Despite everything he had done, despite how hard he had tried... his friends were disappeared. Yuffie, Aerith, Cloud... just disappeared. Squall was still around, but he was just as anti-social as Vincent was. Time passed. Vincent had been out to look for the missing RGRC members, to no avail. He returned to Radiant Garden empty-handed and heavy hearted. With all of his resources exhausted, he returned to the crystal caverns pretty much everyday just to sit in the silence and not think about anything. The silence and darkness was perfect for that and while he was there, he felt better. He was on his way there when he heard a familiar voice above him. Vincent froze, and looked up coldly. " Sephiroth," he growled. What was he doing here? No doubt, trying to stir up trouble and probably kill some innocent people. How to react? He didn't want to jump into a battle, but he didn't want Sephiroth to escape and hurt someone. Time to cut to the chase. Vincent never was the kind of man who wasted words. " What are you doing here?"

Difficulties. So much hate, so much spite; yes, it would be no fun to twist Vincent around. Sephiroth wondered again what had made Cloud vanish; regardless, it was not imperative that he knew the answer right at that moment. "Aggressive as always. Not answering my questions and expecting answers to your own; you light types are all the same. Imbeciles and aggressors."
Whereas the darkness types were assholes and instigators. There was a slight difference in the two; light types tended to swing first. If the darkness type in question wasn't insane, or just a murderer. "I am here for the same reason you are," the man sighed (this was tiring for him), "Cloud and the others' mass exodus. Though I cannot even sense Cloud anywhere among the worlds." He sat down on a crystal and looked at Vincent, a pained expression across his face. Admitting this was difficult for him.
The One Winged Angel had always claimed Cloud would never be free of him as long as he had darkness in his heart, which would be forever, but...somehow, he had managed it. Was there somewhere among the Sea of Stars that Sephiroth could not sense Cloud at from Hollow Bastion? "You may think me heartless, and that may be true, but I regardless hold a certain hate-hate relationship with Cloud. He and I have unfinished business, yet he seems to have vanished."
