Everything's About to Change Drastically [July 22, 2010] "Alert the rest of the Organization and tell them to meet here. Make sure they understand that this is urgent."
The Dusk was, admittedly, confused. It was used to Zexion giving it orders and relaying messages, but there was something different. The Dusk usually reported to Superior as well, but the Dusk couldn't sense him anywhere. Unfortunately, the order wasn't to find him but the others. It disappeared into its own Corridor of Darkness while Zexion sat patiently in his chair, waiting for the rest to show up.
The Schemer was still partially in awe. The Superior had truly been taken care of and the coup succeeded. Of course, Xemnas did not put up as much of a fight as initially planned, but that only made the deed easier. Still, Yen Sid's words lingered in his mind. Xemnas could never return as the Nobody, but what about... no. It wasn't possible. How could he? And if he did, what would happen? If this happened, Zexion would need to keep a look out for him, though what to do about that if it happened was not something he knew.
The bigger problem was the Champion. The Organization needed to know all of the information he had found over time and that they needed to act. He did not care what happened to the Organization's current bureaucracy, but he did care about their goal being achieved. They needed to stop the Champion before he rendered their goal as unreachable.

What Have You Done? The Dusk didn't even need to give Luxord the message before he whisked himself away to the Round Room. Appearing in his seat he leaned forward, hands clasped between his knees, and stared intently at Zexion. A short while before, he had turned away from his cards for a moment only to find Kingdom Hearts in the sky, then watched as it disappeared moments later. Sounds of battle rang down from the top of the Castle, and as he looked at the cards, he'd seen that they told of Axel's return, and soon they couldn't discern the Superior's non-existence. He had waited for the Dusk before leaving, but had turned the thought of waiting in the Round Room over many times. It wasn't his custom to drop his poker face, but the gravity of the situation brought his brow down in to a penetrating stare, and his mouth from its usual sneer to a near frown of disgust. " I wonder," he began, with not a trace of his usual sarcasm, " Why you've sent out such an urgent message?" The question was rhetorical in nature, of course, but his disdain for the Schemer was clear in his voice. He was used to being left out of the loop, but this wasn't like before...

I wonder at this sense of urgency. -------- Already, she was wishing for her old clothes. This cloak was much heavier than she was accustomed to and not very breathable, at least by her standards. And was it just her, or did her hips suddenly look much bigger than they should? Then again, she had noticed most of the other members were oddly proportioned in these cloaks. Surely, there was some alternative uniform.
The boots were the worst, though. Her feet felt so imprisoned. There was something so intimate about touching the ground you walked upon with your bare feet. She was going to miss that. Perhaps she would spend as much time away from here as possible just to secretly remove the boots for a while.
One of those Dusks showed up in her room, relaying a message from Zexion. Another meeting so soon? And it was urgent. Without wasting any time, she summoned a Corridor that deposited her directly onto the former Number Thirteen's chair. Zexion and Luxord were the only ones here so far. For now, she would keep quiet and wait.
This could turn into something of great interest.

Something important? Aixfeur appeared as soon as she got the message. She responded to a normal summons with haste, so of course an urgent one required her to show as soon as the message was relayed. Had something happened? Finally. She had been getting slightly listless. There was little to do around here, and she still hadn't gotten a worthwhile fight. Zexion and Number Ten (was his name Luxord? She'd only seen him in passing and hadn't spoken to him, so she wasn't sure) were both there, as well as a quiet Alanix. Aixfeur chose to go the silent route along with Number Thirteen. _________ Saïx appeared a little before the Soldier, looking as stoic as ever. It was obvious that Xemnas's death had not improved his disposition in the least. He arrived just in time to hear the Gambler's question. His first instinct was to respond with an immediate 'Xemnas is dead' and get it over with. He saw no problem in doing this, albeit with slightly different wording. Number Ten was most likely not even going to pretend to care that Xemnas was dead. "It's urgent," he said, "because the Superior is dead. Does that answer your question?"

Urgent my ass. “The kid works fast,” Xigbar hadn’t even returned to his quarters alter eavesdropping on the murder of The Superior when a dusk came to inform him of a meeting. They were certainly efficient it seemed, if they were already going to spread the news. Then again, what exactly were they going to tell the others? Regardless of speculation – he would have enough time for that later – he appeared in his seat at the meeting room through a Corridor of Darkness, already sitting and removing his hood by the time the corridor disappeared. Zexion and Saïx were naturally there already. Luxord as well, not that he cared. Then he noticed two new faces, which he immediately associated with the two new recruits that he hadn’t bothered to meet because he was busy. It took less than a second after he arrived for Saïx to spill the beans. Was he also going to spill that they were the ones who killed him? “You think you’d wait until everyone was here ‘fore dropping news like those, Scarface,” Xigbar snarked, placing his elbow on the right arm piece of his chair and resting his head on his closed up fist. “We should at least stick with the formalities, in honor of The Superior’s memory,” he taunted the traitorous pair. Sure, Xigbar had pushed Zexion and Axel forward into taking care of Xemnas, but he sure didn’t pull the trigger.

Your opinion is noted, Freeshooter. Saïx stared down at the recent arrival. Xigbar obviously hadn't lost any of his sarcasm since they'd last spoken, which had been...a while ago. They operated seperately, and Saïx couldn't really say that he didn't prefer it that way. The Freeshooter was powerful, yes, but also incredibly tiresome. This being said, he didn't bother to reply past a bored, "Does it matter? Either way, everyone will know." Even in his worst moments he wouldn't rise to Xigbar's taunts, simply because he couldn't. However, the fact that Xigbar kept trying could become a little irritating at times.

A Dark Corridor deposited the Hero is his seat. Something seemed to be amiss if Zexion had summoned them urgently. It could be that Zexion was now going to inform the rest of the Organization about the Champion's activities. However... the Superior was not here. Somewhat expected, based on his track record recently, but Zexion would've ensured that Xemnas show up for a meeting of such magnitude.
Unsure, and ill at ease, Lexaeus simply stared at Zexion, awaiting further information to clarify the urgency.

I can't help myself sometimes. -------- There had been no need for Zexion to send him a Dusk, but Axel waited for a little while before following the Schemer and Saïx to the Round Room. Though it would be difficult to judge how long it would take everyone else to get there and also how long it would take for Zexion and Saïx to explain things, Axel wanted to give them that time before he rushed in there and caused a stir. Coming back from the dead wasn't exactly a casual thing.
So, he lingered at the altar, looking up at the space where Zexion's illusory Kingdom Hearts had been. Even though Axel had been here when it happened, he still found it difficult to grasp that Xemnas was gone. Who knew what would happen now? He was uncertain about what he would choose to do. Though, with Xemnas dead, he was less adverse to rejoining the Organization.
Figuring enough time had passed, Axel summoned a Corridor and entered the Round Room. He did not, however, go straight for his old chair. Instead, he appeared at its base, leaning against it. A quick look around the room told him he had come too early. Demyx and Vexen were missing. He didn't recognize two faces, both female.
And one of them was sitting in Roxas's old chair.
His eyes narrowed slightly, but she, whoever she was, was not a concern of his right now. He flicked his eyes to Lexaeus, then to Luxord and smirked. "Dying is so overrated, don't you think? So, I decided not to do it."
He looked at the Schemer next. "I have to thank you for your help with that, Zexion." His tone was anything but thankful. "Maybe next time you could act a little faster."
He had a compulsive need to stir the pot a little. Too much time in the jungle and too little effort needed to kill Xemnas.

Zexion would get his chance to act faster. Lexaeus didn't stop thinking, but he did immediately move to take action, the Corridor taking him from his chair down to the floor, Skysplitter having appeared in his hands sometime between the two. The signature red-and-black aura appeared around him as he began gathering his power. "Zexion." He said, not taking his eyes away from Axel. "Explain this. Did you not send me on a mission to eliminate Axel?"

Start Explaining Vexen had been in the library of the Castle That Never Was (one of a few locations he could usually be found), searching through old research reports, when he saw it. He stood there staring at it for a moment, perplexed by the sight. Outside of the window it hung innocently in the sky, as if it belonged there. Kingdom Hearts. But it did not take much consideration to recognize that it was out of place. The enormous heart-shaped moon had obviously not been there previously, and by no means could it have been so entirely formed in a matter of seconds. Evidently it was not real.
The Academic had an fairly strong idea of who was responsible for the unexpected illusion. What he was not sure of was what exactly they were up to. Of course that was not his job to figure out, and doing so was hardly a pressing matter. No doubt he would discover in due time what the Schemer was up to...
The dusk arrived not all that much later, carrying an "urgent" message. He was to report to the Round Room immediately for some sort of meeting. Dismissing the courier with an idle wave of his hand, he paused to think, raising his fist to his chin. Did this have anything to do with image of Kingdom Hearts that had appeared earlier, he wondered? The illusion was now gone, having vanished not too long after its appearance, leaving behind only confusion as to what its purpose had been. Well, regardless of what it would be, Vexen was quite certain that he would find the answer in the Round Room.
Arriving into his throne in column of darkness, Vexen immediately took in upon himself to survey all of the seats upon entering, curious as to who had already shown up and who would need to later be reprimanded for their absence. Abnormally, the seat immediately to his left was occupied. The Freeshooter whereabouts were always a sort of mystery, albeit one that no one cared enough to solve. His attendance to such a gathering was not customary. Aside from the initial annoyed reaction of "Wonderful, someone else to ruin any hope of serious discussion...", Vexen was suspicious of what could have caused Number Two's decision to show up.
The real unpleasant surprise to see, however, was the one below on the platform. Standing there, rambling something about dying, was Axel. "Oh were you supposed to be dead?" he asked with disinterest, followed by a slight shrug. "I wasn't aware..." "And really don't care", he might have added, would that have not involved rhyming. Had he known about this apparently faked death, he would have been disappointed to now be learning otherwise, but he hadn't. Still, he was about as happy as he could be to see Lexaeus moving in front of the traitor with his weapon. Perhaps he could eliminate him permanently this time.
Regrettably, he seemed to be asking questions first, opposed to saving them for later. How disappointing... Well, while they were demanding answers from Zexion, the Academic might as well chip in. "I was just about to inquire about your handiwork I saw in the sky earlier, Zexion. But it would appear you have much explaining to do than I had thought..." He stared curiously at the Schemer, who sat to his right a chair. "What do you have to say for yourself?"

Demyx yawned, it was just another day relaxing and avoiding work for the moment. He had almost gotten the rest of the song he was working on finished until the dusk appeared interrupting him. He motioned for the dusk to leave "Shoo, I'm making music," he told it dismissively. Though it kept being persistent about something important. It wouldn't quit nagging him and finally he gave up. He sighed. "Fine....I guess I need to see what's SO important," he said aloud.
He made a corridor appear and stepped through it, arriving in his normal seat. Though he wasn't expecting to see what he had just walked into. First of all, it seemed Axel was alive and well here which was odd since he thought they were supposed to eliminate him or something. To be sure, he got out one of the cards he wrote down his missions on and sure enough it said to eliminate him if they saw him. He also noticed the Superior wasn't around and that there was another new member around as well. "Man.....what did I miss?" he asked aloud.

And Here. We. Go. Well, this went over as well as things could in the Organization. At least no one attempted to kill him yet.
Luxord's question, which carried true disdain with it, was answered by Saïx bluntly. Xigbar even decided to attend this little meeting, probably with full knowledge of what Zexion had to say; the Freeshooter always knew things the rest didn't. The next one to enter was Lexaeus, who proceeded to stare at the Schemer. This was probably the one thing that Zexion was going to hate about this meeting the most, but he needed to accept the consequences of his actions, even if he did think they were the right ones to make.
And then Axel came in and made things go much quicker. That was lovely. Lexaeus seemed intent on acting upon seeing him while Vexen had to be his typical inquiring self. Demyx joined in as well, making the room full. Now he needed to answer truthfully to the crime and hope to Kingdom Hearts that he wouldn't be killed. He kept a composed look on his face as he quickly decided what to say in his head and how to say it; needed to be just right for these Nobodies.
"Yes Lexaeus, I did," he stated at first, "I needed it to be believed that Axel was dead and your word is trusted beyond mine. I used illusions to make it work. The Axel you fought was real as is the one standing near you. He was necessary in completing the act that I called you all here to know about. Xemnas has indeed been disposed of by myself, Saïx, and Axel."
He raised his hand quickly to silence any comments to what he said, continuing shortly. "This was not done for power, as some of you may think. It had been confirmed that he was going to use Kingdom Hearts for power as he did before. We disposed of him to avoid this from happening again since Kingdom Hearts is our top priority. This was done so we may continue in reaching our goal."
He paused shortly, trying not to monologue. Unfortunately, he had to spew out a lot of facts for the Organization right now. "The Organization needs to decide how it is going to function and run orderly. This needs to be done as quick as possible. The Champion has killed fifty four Keyblade Masters so far as seen at the Keyblade Graveyard, the last one being King Mickey. He will be coming back to the graveyard on the twenty-fifth of this month. We need to make sure we are there as well as an organized Organization to fight alongside those of light to protect the Keyblade Masters. Otherwise, our goal will never be reached."
He was done speaking now. The floor was open to the rest of the Organization to speak and decide what they wanted to happen next. He kept the composed look on his face, never having lost it while he spoke. He wanted to see what would be decided now and how the Organization was going to function from here on out.

I Fold Luxord watched, though none of the matters unfolding before him brought about even the slightest memory of surprise. As soon as he saw Kingdom Hearts, and Axel's fate revealed, he knew what had happened. Luxord's ears were deaf to everyone's mindless comments, and he halfheartedly listened to Zexion's explanations. As soon as the floor opened up for commentary, he revealed his whole hand. Sitting up in his seat, he looked at Zexion with his usual sneer, though this one lacked the frivolity it often contained. " Well, I fear that you three let slip your hand too much. If I'd counted the cards better, then I wouldn't have needed to speak here, but it seems I'll make this official." Standing up, he pulled off the black gloves, revealing two gold rings on his right ring and middle fingers, and a single silver ring on his left ring finger. " I've no problems with a House that keeps the public out, but a House that hides from its own is deplorable. For the longest time, you six have kept the rest of us in the dark with your own back-dealings, using the cameras to watch our every move, so as to further your own games." He looked around the room at the other members. He wondered if any of them would ever find what they were looking for. Doubtful. Fate was never nearly so kind towards a group as individuals. " You may think that you've toppled the House, dear Schemer, Flame, Diviner, but there's always someone left to stab you in the back, and it's doubtful that you'll know who before the curtain falls." Unzipping his cloak, he threw it aside, watching it fall slowly to the center platform of the Round Room. He adjusted the buttons on the cuffs of his white dress-shirt, and smoothed out the wrinkles in his black waistcoat. " Another problem is that, despite ones best intentions, a lie begets a lie. You three-of-a-kind should know that very well." Reaching into his waistcoat pocket, he pulled out a gold-chained pocket-watch, flipping it open quickly before shutting it closed and stuffing it back into his pocket. " I needn't say this, but consider this to be my formal resignation. You can keep the number, title, and attire, but I'll keep the name, as little as identity matters in a game." Sliding a hand into on of the pockets of his black pants, he looked at Zexion as though he just remembered something important. " The best laid plans of mice and men, eh? Perhaps we shall meet again, but I doubt I'll return. I pray that you have an open hand, though, towards the newest members. Cards aren't transparent, but words are as close as one gets. Good day." With a nod, he left the The World That Never Was through a Corridor of Darkness.

Cool story, Luxord. It wouldn't have been a true Organization meeting without a cryptic block of words being thrown into Saïx's face. Did everything the Gambler said have to be an analogy about card games? He was leaving. ...How long had he been wearing that suit under his cloak? Admittedly, though, a suit would be more comfortable. The cloaks were heavy, warm, and had...odd proportions, to say the least. That had taken a while to get used to. Luxord left. Saïx didn't care. However, it would be annoying if more were to leave. The Champion was obviously a powerful enemy. It would be good to hang on to most of the Organization's members, at least until after that was over. Let Zexion handle it. Saïx was completely aware of his failures in persuasive speaking. He was too straightfoward, and would probably make things worse. ______________________ Aixfeur had a few issues comprehending what had just been said. They had killed their leader? But their leader had strayed from the original goal. But why did they even want their hearts in the first place? And why would their leader not notice something? And why wouldn't he use other means to gain power? And why was that guy leaving? Either their leader was insane, everyone but her was insane, or she was just insane. She wasn't sure about her mental state- all she knew was that there had been a big fight and she hadn't gotten to be a part of it. How disappointing.

If Lexaeus was the type for exaggerated displays of fake emotion like some of the members, there would've been a lot of expressions going across his face. Instead, he simply stepped back, Skysplitter vanishing, as the Corridor took him back to his chair.
Betrayal. That was the word that was running through his mind. You were loyal to those that deserved it. According to Zexion, the Superior hadn't. And yet Lexaeus had never heard about any of these allegations given as the reason for the Superior's removal.
Zexion had previously deserved his loyalty.
Zexion had lied and used him in this act.
He almost wished he could leave like Luxord. But that was not an option at this time.
"...We needed all of our strength to face the Champion." You never counted on the unknown variable being weaker. You always counted on it being stronger. "You will not rule this Organization, whether you have done this for power or not. Your very actions prove you unworthy of such power much as you have accused the Superior of being." He closed his eyes and crossed his arms in thought.
Anyone who knew Lexaeus would know the look on his face. He was on to something. Going through all the possibilities.
