The view from down here is quite lovely... Yes, that means your behind... “Of course dear. Not yet at least,” he answered to Emi. “Though, everything but the makeup is already there, so you are very close.”Where she had failed before, now Emi had succeeded. After yanking Xigbar from his hood, she managed to drag him to the floor, but that didn’t faze him. He just continued with what he was doing, just on the ground and with a raging teenager about to try and kick his behind. He just kept on drinking, now straight from the bottle, since pouring tequila into a glass in that position was nearly impossible, and he wasn’t about to waste a drop of it. Then the dragging stopped. Zexion had obviously grown tired, stopping his friend from attempting murder on a nobody. Did it count as murder if you killed a nobody? Sora certainly had seemed alright with it. Nevertheless, he didn’t get much of a chance for those random thoughts to settle in, for Zexion was now demanding they returned to the castle. Now asking, demanding. The nerve of that kid. “If you insist,” Xigbar stood up slowly, raising his voice slowly. He was going to enjoy this. “We’ll return to the castle, but this night it’s my turn on top, got that?” he finished with a malicious grin. Everyone relatively close to them had heard, turning their heads to stare. While Xigbar could tell in their faces they understood it wasn’t serious, the point of embarrassing the bookworm still went through.

Bam! So Kadaj was up for his plan. Good. Not that he was exactly surprised. Violence was something all of the remnants love, Kadaj included, if not specifically. After all, he always seemed to be out looking for a nice fight. It was a fun way to entertain yourself. Too bad he seemed so darn wasted... He couldn't even walk straight! He definitely wouldn't be any help fighting. Well, that was okay, he could just be a spectator. Hey, Loz would be able to handle Cloud on his own no problem. Blondie was no match for him. Following his brother as he stumbled forward towards their target and beckoned him forward, he watched as he poked Cloud on the shoulder. Well, now seemed as good a time as any to make the first move. Bringing his arm back, he smiled, and waited right until Cloud started to turn around, before swinging his arm around right into his stomach. But he didn't just go stumbling backwards like the average punch would have caused him to; he was send flying straight through the air until he crashed hard into the wall. Surprisingly enough, he seemed to still be conscious, but wasn't getting up to fast. "Maan, did I win already?" He sure hoped not. Winning that fast would be no fun.

"I THOUGHT WHAT WE HAD WAS SPECIAL!" -- Emi fought against Zexion for a moment, but not very earnestly. Because honestly, if she had wanted to and tried, she could totally take him. Her last shot of tequila definitely wasn't helping the mood swings and now she couldn't help but laugh at Xigbar's comment. " That's pretty funny," she snorted. " But I still hate you," she said, her face going serious again. She reached down and snatched up the bottle from Xigbar's hands. After adding a comment about learning to share, she took a drink. She sighed and draped herself over Zexion's shoulders from behind, throwing her free arm around his neck. She didn't like all this talk of returning to the castle, so she pouted. " You always run off and leave me, Zexy. I guess its 'cause you're always in a hurry to get back to this guy, right?" she murmured, kicking Xigbar lightly. The words came out very slowly and very slurred." Like I said, he needs to learn to share and since I already took his booze... you need to dance with me. Now." She took one last drink and returned the bottle to Xigbar. She had no qualms about drinking after strangers apparently. Then she turned and grabbed Zexion's wrist. " Just one song, then you can go back with your boyfriend, I promise."

And Think About What You've Done! Oh, Cloud. Never the great conversationalist, are you? It was so hard to tell what he was thinking when his face seemed to be perpetually frozen in that stoic state and when he never muttered more than vague agreements with whatever she had just said. But then he'd occasionally crack a smile, and she'd forgive him for his oratory shortcomings. Maybe she was just weak like that. And maybe one day, she'd be able get him to engage in a conversation like the ones they used to have, long ago in Radiant Garden, before all this talk of darkness pulled him into his introverted shell. In the meantime, she could be content with just being close, as long as he didn't run off again, like he inevitably did time after time. She smiled when he embraced her of his own accord; it was a step in a positive direction, most certainly. It was interesting to her that, when he wasn't busy getting into fights, Cloud could actually be a very gentle person. Awkward, yes, but gentle. It was one of his more endearing qualities. Once again, though, their moment was cut short. Again, it was Kadaj who cut that moment short, this time by tapping Cloud on the shoulder. There was another person with him, though, and strangely enough, this second person was also silver-haired and dressed in black. There was a mischievous glint in this second person's eyes, and Aerith knew what was coming. She just didn't have quite enough time to stop it. Cloud hadn't even turned all the way around before he took a blow to the stomach with enough force to send him flying into a wall. For a moment, Aerith just stood there in disbelief, watching Cloud, who was thankfully still conscious, get slowly back to his feet. But then the shock wore off and something else took its place. There had been no reason for that. No reason. And she would make sure that didn't happen again while she was here. With a stern expression on her face, she walked right up to the man who had punched Cloud—who was also considerably bigger than she was, though she disregarded this fact—and slapped him hard across the face. Before the man could regain any sort of composure, she launched into a semi-wine-induced lecture. “You! And you!” She pointed at Kadaj. “And you!” She pointed at Cloud. “I want all three of you to find your own corner to sit in! Right now! You're all acting like little boys, and I want it to stop right here and right now! And since you insist on acting that way, I'm sending you all to time-out! Go! I mean it! Go!” Frustrated with the lot of them, she stormed away from all three of them and sat down at the bar, next to Yuffie. The Moogle bartender floated over to her, having witnessed the outburst. “Kupo? Are you alright? Can I get you something?” Aerith nodded and sighed. “I would love another glass of that white wine, please.” In a few seconds, she had it in her hand and was sipping it slowly. “ Men...” she said, partly to Yuffie and partly to herself. “Or, in this case... boys...”

What Just Happened? Cloud was actually enjoying himself as he continued to dance with Aerith. They had stopped talking for the moment, which was fine with him. Any talking would most likely just lead to more awkwardness. Suddenly, he felt himself being tapped on the shoulder. What was it now? It just better not be Kadaj. He had had just about enough of his childish games. Turning around, he barely had time to see Kadaj standing with another one of the remnants, Loz, before he suddenly the new man's large silver fist colliding with his stomach. The next think he knew, he was smashing right into one of the walls of the club. A sharp pain shot up his spine. Trying with great difficulty to catch his breath, he managed to stand back up. With his sense finally returning, he began to wonder what exactly had just happened? Why had he just gotten punched in the gut? Oh-- that was right, it was because, just like Sephiroth, all of the remnants were out to get him for absolutely no good reason. And it hadn't even been a fair shot, Cloud having been caught totally off guard. He found himself feeling slightly happier when he saw Aerith slapping Loz across the face. Served him right. She pointed at both off them, then surprisingly pointing at him too. Hey, what had he done? Even more ridiculous, was when she demanded that all three of them went to a different corner and had a time out. She couldn't do that... Clearly she had had too much too drink. But still... he didn't want to make her angry with him. Besides, he was feeling too dizzy to do anything anyway. Grabbing the half-empty beer bottle he had been drinking earlier, he stumbled over to a bar stool in the far left corner of the room.

Yuffie continued to watch Aerith and Cloud, dancing together. They were sooo cute together, she could barely contain the urge to yell it out to them. Them looking so nice together, certainly made her get over the fact the moogle bartender wouldn't let her drink....for now. She was hearing a disturbance off to the side of her, but ignored it Aerith and Cloud being far more interesting to her.
And then the two men who resembled each other walked up to the two and Yuffie couldn't help but gasp. "This can't be good....." she said to herself. She didn't know what they were going to do, otherwise she probably would have rushed over there. She then made another audible gasp as the bigger looking one of the two suddenly punched Cloud. Why did he have to do that for?! That guy totally ruined the cute scene! "You can't let him get away with that, Cloud!! she yelled over to him.
Though before Cloud had a chance to do anything, Aerith went up to the man and slapped him. "Yeah! Go, Aerith!" she yelled over to them. Then after the slap it seemed like she...actually told them all to have a time-out and Yuffie couldn't help but giggle. It was an amusing thought her putting them all in a time-out like children.
Then afterwords Aerith sat down next to her and ordered some wine. "Can I have some of what she's having?" she asked as the moogle went by. The moogle shook his head and kept moving. "What?! C'mon! That's not fair!! she exclaimed and crossed her arms again. She then heard Aerith speak to her. She couldn't help but giggle to herself. "I don't know, they're kind of entertaining when they're like this," She then gave a sly smile towards Aerith. "Plus you didn't seem to be feeling the same way about them, when you were dancing with Cloud..." She was practically almost about to blow, wanting to talk about everything that had happened between the two today.

Temptation, FrustrationDon't Stand So Close to Me (You have to listen to this; it fits too perfectly for the second part if this post) Kadaj couldn't help but grin wildly as Cloud was sent flying backward. It felt so satisfying to see him get what he deserved; no one messed with the remnants and got away with it. Loz didn't hold back either, which just made it even better. He started laughing as soon as he saw Cloud go to the floor, obviously dazed. His night was made now. He would have to thank Loz later for making it for him, though remembering this night was going to be a tad difficult in the morning.
His mood was instantly ruined as soon as Aerith started speaking. They were not children! He did not deserve to be treated like this! Though, he giggled when she pointed at Cloud; glad to know that he got in trouble too. He stopped when she told them all to go to a corner, a pout showing up on his face. Fine, she wanted him to go to his corner? He would... and plot. Oh yes, he would plot against blondie some more and maybe her too. She was supposed to be nice; what happened to her being nice to him earlier?
"Hmph!" That was all he said as he stomped over to a corner, his boots making loud noises on the floor. He plopped onto the floor and sat with his legs and his arms crossed, glaring at Aerith and then Cloud. He had got him into trouble again; this injustice needed to stop happening right now. If he could only figure out what to do next without Aerith noticing; he didn't want her yelling at him again.
--
Zexion had now found his objective for the evening. It would be very difficult to do, especially without drawing suspicion. Though, this objective needed to be filled quickly. Hopefully the other club members wouldn't notice; hopefully they would be too far gone to notice a disappearing Nobody. Normally, the Schemer would ignore any sort of poking fun directed at him, usually coming up with a witty retort almost immediately; he found himself quite good at it in fact. However, this was different. He was already agitated at the two before; Xigbar just multiplied his agitation by about five.
Remaining as composed as possible and trying to erase any sort of irritation that was showing on his face, he backed up to the bar and picked up the Lexicon. The book was currently closed and it was going to remain that way for at least a moment longer. The hefty novel loomed over Xigbar, the Nobody having been dragged on the floor. He let a small smirk sneak onto his features as he held the book high, directly over Xigbar's face.
"You know I cannot allow that Xigbar," he said, "This position rather suits you." With that, he dropped the Lexicon, letting gravity do as it should. It was shortly after that when Emi began speaking... and draped herself over him. The smell of tequila coming from her was pungent. His weapon was currently away from him, leaving him unable to use it. Emi was stronger than him and could easily overpower him in a physical fight.
Wait one second, was she acting possessive of him now? This night was never going to end, was it? He groaned to himself, not dignifying her first words with a comment. She was drunk; she did not know what she was saying. She was emotionally driven and the alcohol was just making it worse. He forced these thoughts into his mind to keep him composed. Once she decided to let go of him, if he didn't decide to force her within the next five seconds, he would leave and get out of this wretched place.
She got off of him for a minute, relieving him. Though, he barely got two steps away before he felt his wrist grabbed. She wanted to dance with him. He did not dance nor did he want to go back to Xigbar, who was most certainly not the term she had used. He proceeded to dig his heels into the floor to get her to stop. He was not going to dance; he was going to go pick up his Lexicon and summon a Corridor of Darkness to get out of here. Xigbar could drag himself out of here later; he wasn't doing that for him.
"I do not dance," he told Emi, an edge evident in his tone as he continued to try and escape her grasp. "It would be in your best interest to find another partner."

Mood Swing Number Two: Time For Some Girl-Talk Aerith continued to nurse her drink, not even really caring at this point whether the three misbehaving boys obeyed her orders or not. She giggled suddenly. She'd just told three grown men--one, a rather muscular swordsman whom she had practically made out with earlier, and the other two, remnants of Sephiroth--to go sit in time-out. Now, she was laughing out loud and almost falling off her stool. This was probably why she had never been a drinker. Yuffie's comments about her dancing with Cloud finally registered in her fuzzed brain, and she leaned over the counter, putting her elbows on the polished surface and cupping both of her cheeks in her hands. She fixed her female ninja friend with an ecstatic look. "Oh, you saw that, hmm?" She smiled dreamily. "Yeah...we danced...and I kissed him. I... kissed him!" She found this quite hilarious, and she suddenly took Yuffie's hands in her own, practically jumping up and down on the stool in excitement. "I kissed him, Yuffie! Yeah, yeah, I did!" Words began spilling out of her mouth now. "I had to stop him from beating up Kadaj--" She indicated the remnant in question with a finger. "--so I kissed him. For, like...a long time. It...was...great! But then, I don't know if he liked it, because you know how Cloud is, he doesn't really say much, so I asked him if he liked it, and he didn't really say anything, but I think that's just because he's stubborn or withdrawn or something, or maybe I'm not being obvious enough, but I don't really know, and then we danced some more, but then he got punched by that guy--" She pointed in the other man's direction. "--and I got really ticked off and sent them all to time-out! Time-out, Yuffie!" She paused just long enough to breathe, and then she started laughing again. At this rate, she would definitely need some help walking out of here tonight.

Yuffie watched as Aerith starting to giggle and was a bit confused as to why, then again it was quite possibly the wine. Though she didn't think about it, since Aerith started talking about what happened tonight. "Of course I saw you two! You looked sooooo cute together!" she exclaimed to Aerith. Aerith sounded so excited about having kissed Cloud and Yuffie was excited for her.
And then Aerith suddenly grabbed her hands and was kind of hopping while on the stool and started just talking about everything that happened tonight. Yuffie couldn't help but hop with her, it was just so exciting! She had named one of the men who resembled each other as being Kadaj, which was a good thing to remember. She then continued listening to Aerith speaking about tonight and was excited. It sounded so eventful and even better it sounds like she had witnessed it all! That was totally awesome!
"I can't believe you were able to kiss him! I can't even imagine how you're feeling right now!" she exclaimed to Aerith. "I'm sure he liked it! I mean c'mon you two are just so obviously made for each other! And Cloud's a guy, they can never tell when a girl likes them, no matter how obvious we are. Boys are just oblivious like that. But that just means you need to keep trying harder! And I can't believe that guy totally ruined your moment! He totally deserves more than just a time-out! Though I guess that's good enough for now..."
She had to stop to breathe now too. She had been wanting to talk about the two so badly it just all came out at once in one breath. Though Aerith was still laughing and seemed a bit tipsy. Which amused Yuffie a bit. Maybe it wasn't so bad that she wasn't able to drink, being able to watch others being drunk and tipsy while she wasn't was very amusing. "Anyway! You'll get through to Cloud! I believe in you!"

Ramblings of a First-Time Drunk It was so great having somebody to spill her feelings to who wouldn't just give her a nod and a "Yeah" in response. She put one of her hands on Yuffie's shoulders, mainly to steady herself but also to convey affection. "Yuffie? Have I ever told you how much I love having you for a friend? You're so much...fun. Yeah...you're great. Thanks for actually speaking back to me. I like it when people tell me what they're thinking, you know? Maybe if I...took a sledgehammer to Cloud's head, I might find out what he thinks about in that brain of his all the time. Hmmmm..." She trailed off for a second. "But then...I guess that might...hurt a little bit. Yeah...a little bit." Aerith took another long sip of her drink--whatever was in this stuff was really good--and then squeezed Yuffie's hands. She picked up her thought right where she had left it, as though she had never paused for a drink. "And I don't like hurting people. I like helping people! Yeah! Like...I wanna help Cloud, you know? He needs to smile more often, yeah? Him and Leon. Don't you think Leon needs to smile more? Smiling makes everything better. Maybe those two wouldn't be so somber all the time if they'd just smile. Or...better yet...let out a laugh or two. Laughing is fun!" To demonstrate this, she giggled. "And those other two boys I sent to time-out...I'm sure they're nice boys, deep down. But they just go around hitting people, and that's not very nice! Maybe they need a hug... Yeah! Hugs make everything better! Just like smiling. And laughing." She giggled again. "Maybe I'll go give Kadaj a hug! I didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings! But...if I give Kadaj a hug, I suppose I'll have to give Cloud another kiss!" She gasped. "Oh, that sounds like fun!" She swayed a little while holding onto Yuffie and found herself unable to stop giggling.

Yuffie soon felt one of Aerith's hands on her shoulder, it looked like she was trying to maintain her balance. But then Aerith also spoke about how much she appreciated having her as a friend. "Awww, thank you, Aerith! she exclaimed to her. Yuffie could tell she was a bit drunk now, but that wasn't gonna stop her from taking the compliment. " I love having you as a friend too! You're fun as well! I totally understand about liking it when people tell you what they're thinking, it makes conversations soooo less confusing"
She couldn't help but giggle as Aerith rambled on. She was obviously drunk now and Yuffie couldn't help but find it amusing. She was sure Aerith probably wouldn't later, but for now she'd enjoy it. Aerith continued talking from topic to topic and Yuffie waited until she was done for her to speak again. "I totally understand! I like helping people too. And Leon and Cloud totally need to smile more! We need to find a way to get them to smile more often!" She laughed as well. "Laughing is always fun! We need to find a way to get them to laugh too!
She paused allowing herself to breath this time before continuing. "Hugs definitely make everything better!" she told Aerith nodding in agreement. "I don't know about hugging those two guys, but you should totally kiss Cloud again! Maybe you'll get him to smile!" She then helped Aerith maintain her balance on the stool, since she had swayed a bit. Yuffie thought about maybe trying to calm her down a bit and have her relax.....for about a second. "You should totally go for it! He so looks like he could use another kiss!" She might have Aerith and Cloud hating her later, but right now it would be so worth it!

"You ARE dancing with me, whether you like it or not." -- Emi made a long, over-exaggerated sigh and put her hand on her hip. Just one hand though, the other hand was still wrapped around his wrist. She wasn't about to let him get away, but he sure was being stubborn. " I don't want another parter. I already tried dancing with that silver haired guy and..." She looked out to the dance floor and saw that a fight had occured and the girl in the dress was now putting the boys in a corner. Emi giggled to herself. Amateurs. She turned her attention back to Zexion. " Everyone dances. Everyone. I'm sure you have danced at least once in your life. It's not like I'm asking you to dance a whole ballet here, unless you're into ballet, I hear guys like you are." There she went with the gay thing again. And Zexion wasn't budging. Well, there was only one thing for it. " I was really hoping it wouldn't come to this, Zexy," she said, trying to sound regretful but she ended up just stumbling over her words. " But you made me do it." Before he had a chance to run away, she tightened her grip on his wrist and dragged him over. She wrapped her arms around him and picked up and then proceeded to run haphazardly out to the dance floor. It was a comical sight, and Zexion was lucky she didn't fall. Given the state she was in, it was a miracle. She put him down not so lightly on his feet and then in a kind afterthought, attempted to straighten his hair and cloak.

Short-Lived Defiance Sitting in this corner was not very exciting, not at all. Aerith seemed to be having some conversation with Yuffie, leaving her distracted. Before she could turn her head to look in his direction, Kadaj quickly grabbed a paper napkin of sorts. He crunched it up until it resembled a ball, putting it in his left hand. He quickly looked to make sure Aerith wasn't looking before he lobbed it toward Loz. Hopefully that would get his attention and they could figure out what to do now.
--
Emi was not letting go of his wrist, making Zexion's escape attempt much harder. He tried pulling away from her, but she held him firm. No, she did not want another dance partner; she wanted a Nobody that did not know how to dance, much less wanted to do such a thing. She had already danced with the silver-haired man, the one that Zexion saw sitting in a corner, and obviously that wasn't good enough for her. Why could she not just accept the fact that he did not dance and she had to find another partner?
He raised a curious eyebrow at the mention of ballet and that someone like him would like that sort of thing. Was this just because he read classic literature that she was saying such things? Well that just was not true. No... that did not sound right. She was going off of the little joke that Xigbar had started. This only made his escape attempts stronger, not bothering to dignify anything she said with a verbal response. No, he was not everyone. He did not dance. He would not dance. He had never danced in his Other's life nor in this one and he was not about to start now.
He winced as she tightened her grip on his already somewhat sore wrist, though now she was physically dragging him toward her now. His eyes widened as she picked him up-- yes, picked him up-- and ran with him toward the dance floor. It was a surprise that she did not trip or anything of the sort while doing so; it surprised him that she could pick him at all while in her current drunken state. He attempted to resist still once he realized what she was doing, though that failed just like everything else; perhaps he should start working out with Lexaeus to build strength.
She dropped him back onto the floor, his boots making a loud noise as he landed. He wanted no further part of this; he had to get his point across somehow. "I do not dance. I will not dance. I am not going to partake in-- stop hitting me." She seemed to be trying to do something with his hair now and his cloak, which he only perceived as hitting him and flailing about. Wait, her hands weren't on him now. She wasn't holding him here; he could make an escape!
"If you truly wanted to dance with me, which is not going to happen, you would not hit me. I am leaving." Without any further words, he quickly made a dashing attempt to get away from the dance floor, hoping she wasn't in a good enough state to grab him and bring him back. All he wanted was to go back to the Castle now and rest; next time he ever thought of doing this sort of thing again, Lexaeus was coming with him to block him from attacks.

"You can't leave yet, the moogles...!" -- Emi's lip trembled as Zexion began to storm off. " But I wasn't trying to hit you! Noooo! Don't go!" she wailed, racing after him. " I just wanted to fix your hair! Zexyyyyyy! COME BAAAAACK!" Rather than try to pick him up again, she tackled him and wrapped her arms around his legs. If he tried to move, he would either drag her along with him (doubtful) or fall over, and he was already teetering dangerously in the aftermath of the tackle. " You will dance with me, Zexy," she pouted, tightening her hold on his legs. " I'm not letting go until you promise you won't leave until you dance with me. Pleaaaase?" If he turned around, Zexion would see she was putting on her best pleading, puppy-dog-eyes look. She nuzzled his calves with the side of her face. " Why don't you want to dance with me? You can't be embarrassed. I'll cry, I swear to god, do you want to make me cry?"

Mood Swing, the Third: Crocodile Tears When the room stayed still long enough, Aerith stood up suddenly, then closed her eyes so the room would stop spinning. She turned to Yuffie, still holding onto her hand. "Okay...I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna make sure everyone's okay. Those poor boys just need some love, you know? I bet they don't get enough of it in their lives." Confident that she could make it over to Kadaj's corner without falling over, Aerith delicately stepped in that direction without wobbling too much. She had apparently missed the thrown wad of paper, but she didn't mind too much. After all, she wasn't angry anymore. She was happy! She was going to give everybody the love they needed! Upon reaching Kadaj's corner, she slid down the wall to sit next to him and smiled. But for some reason, the sight of his face made tears well up in her eyes. Not angry tears, though. Instead she just sat there next to him and wept uncontrollably. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry, I just..." She threw her arms around Kadaj and buried her face in his shoulder. "I can't do it! I can't go kiss him again, because he doesn't like me! He always leaves and goes off to chase Sephiroth! I think he likes Sephiroth more than he likes me! It's always Sephiroth this and Sephiroth that! What about meeee?!" Her shoulders shook with her sobs, and she tightened her hold on Kadaj, oblivious to how it may or may not have been making him uncomfortable. "I'm so tired of hearing about Sephiroth all the time! Maybe he really likes Sephiroth, and that's why he runs off all the time! He's running off with Sephiroth! And I'm left all alone!" She continued to cry, huddled close against Kadaj.
